I would like to say a big Thank you to the staff that was working on the 21st of September when I had my little accident In the beer gerden The 2 members of staff Was very good 1 was a young girl around 19 Years old she looked after me when i hit my head and cut it She was very good at First aid she didn't leave my side till she had done All the checks on me She done her self proud I hope the landlord and Landlady give her a lot Of praise i will be calling In again to say thank you To this young lady in Person.

Great local pub with friendly staff.

Lovely place to stop for a cream tea in the afternoon. The staff were very friendly and helpful and there werw plenty of tables outside in the sun.

I meet my mum here as it's our half way meeting point. The lady owner is very kind and the burgers are great

Quiet local in the Conservation area. Suntrap garden popular with young families with a great village atmosphere.

Lovely food and good atmosphere. However, the bar tender failed to provide me with a VAT receipt upon request. It is the obligation of any VAT registered business to provide on the receipt the VAT amount and the VAT number. I was eventually presented with a piece of paper with the VAT number scribbled onto it, which i guarantee my accountant will not appreciate. Let me make clear that this has nothing to do with the bar tender, which did an amazing job and was very curious. This is a training problem and the people to blame are at a managerial level.

I really enjoy popping here for lunch. Great service from the staff, a lovely menu at reasonable prices and a nice outside area.

We stopped by here on our way home and were pleasantly surprised. Firstly, we received a very warm welcome from the bar. Although it was busy, we were quickly catered for and shown to our table. Lucky us: It was steak nightand we both ate for £11.99 each. The rump steak was excellent! The ambience was lovely - cosy with lots of tables, but not intrusive. I would highly recommend, both because of the delicious, good-value food and the attentiveness of the very friendly staff. Spot on! Sorry to management that might be reading this - I meant to write this review when I had visited several weeks ago.

had a meal with friends last thursday and could not fault it at all. We ALL really enjoyed our food. Just called to book for sunday roast as heard it is great but sadly they have stopped serving sunday roasts, i am gutted, thought we had found a replacement for our regular sunday roast out which we do every week. Back to the drawing board then! Lou.

Walking around the village on a wet day and decided to pop in to this cosy pub for chips to warm up! I was with baby in pram, toddler and dog. The service was very friendly, dog received his own bowl of water, and barman made sure he opened side door for pram. I really appreciate good service and recommend this as an accessible place for all the family to come.

Nice cosy pub serving tasty food, friendly staff, willing to turn music down for the autistic members of our party. A bit tricky to find parking, ignore sat nav, large car park is off main road the other side. Kids portions (burgers) were very generous and the fish and chips were super crispy. Bit of a shame dogs allowed in restaurant end for us that are allergic.

Nice pub, great service, but food came a little too quickly hence the skin on fries were definitely refried! The burger special and light bite fish goujons were good though.

This was perfect for lunch on a day out with the family. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent. There was something on the menu for all tastes. It was reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend.

A truly great country pub. Staff were very welcoming. The music was awesome. If you love guitar based bands you will be in your element. The food is absolute heaven. We all had starters, mains and desserts. The drinks slipped down very well also. Lovely, lovely venue.

Perfect village pub, and dog friendly too.

Our first visit for some time. We were pleased to see it was not busy as it was early afternoon. A very cheerful greeting, prompt service by a very polite young man. From reading the menu they say " we don't do fast food, we do good food as fast as we can" so, with an expectation set, we ordered our food from a good selection. A wait of about 15 minutes and our food was in front of us. 10/10 excellent. I had rolled shoulder of lamb with veg and gravy etc. My wife had slow cooked beef with veg and gravy. PERFECTLY COOKED, fresh vegetables and very tender lamb and beef. Red wine gravy, lovely. Desert ordered. One trecle pudding with custard, one strawberry cheese cake. Again very very good. We shall definitely be returning with friends.

Just dropped in as we live locally and we were walking with our son his fiancee and our granddaughter. We also had our son's dog with us. We were made extremely welcome and the food was very good and what I had was lovely. We will definitely be back perhaps during the week soon

Very nice quiet place. Lovely country pub atmosphere. Wonderful friendly and polite staff. The drinks are excellent. The food is worse, but also quite good. I don't know if it's always like this, but on our visit the kitchen didn't open until 5pm (be prepared for that). Dog friendly.

Service was good by Jack, first time in here on a Saturday evening. Seemed really popular and a nice outdoor area. Would come back again if we are in the area.

Friendly public house with reliable food quality and service

We've been here several times and have been very happy. Thursday includes a special menu and price for pensioners which, although smaller portions, has a variety of dishes to choose from.

Beautiful and quiet location at the end of the High Street. Choice of beers and good seasonal menu. The staff are excellent, very helpful, pleasant and friendly service. A proper country town local pub that I is becoming rarer and rarer.

Ate here this evening with family for the first time and would DEFINITELY come back. We only booked a table for 6 people 45 minutes beforehand and they managed to squeeze us in, considering it was a saturday too, to a lovely quiet table in the back of the pub, staff extremely welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. Great selection of beers and loveliest service. Was quite busy (fair enough for a saturday) but still a lovely atmosphere. Ordered at the bar with a lovely lady called Carol who was so kind and chatty, made us feel extremely welcome. We were told there may be a delay on food, but we thought it was very speedy! Amazing food and fab portions. Was very excited about the veggie burger pizza and it did not disappoint. (Pictured) All in all it was an extremely pleasant visit and highly recommend if you're in the area. Thank you again Carol and all the staff at the Kings head, keep doing what you're doing!

Lively staff, really friendly and helpful. A lovely little pub in a gorgeous village. The food was unfortunately very disappointing all round, I doubt we'd eat here again, but definitely come back for a drink.

Only went for a drink with friends on St Pats day. It was packed, very popular indeed. The staff were excellent. Most table seemed to be reserved so we took our drinks into the garden.

The King's Head has been turned around over the last 2 years. Now a nice local pub with a good food offering. Particularly like their Sunday lunch... Recommend fully.

Visited for the first time today and enjoyed a delicious Sunday roast and dessert. Staff were lovely, really friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, very good value for money. Would definitely recommend a visit, we'll definitely be returning 👍

Just a perfect Sunday lunch! Tender roast beef, monster Yorkshire pudding with herby stuffing within, crisp roast potatoes and perfectly cooked fresh vegetables. Lovely hot gravy & horseradish . We close an extra of cauliflower cheese which was equally as yummy. Nice and hot, Great staff. Just fabulous. Highly recommended. Richard & Jo

Disappointed to say the least. I booked a table xmas eve for my family for 6.30pm we got there and no table was reserved and no effort made to correct it. We had to go elsewhere in the end. Iv tried ringing to speak to the manager but no reply and no voicemail option either! 🤷‍♀️😔

Delicious and great value for money! We both had the small roast beef but left feeling stuffed! The stuffing Yorkshires were a great idea. Very friendly service too! So pleased to have such a great pub on our doorstep.

Dog friendly, roaring fire, very welcoming and excellent food and drink, reasonably priced. Parking also fine. Burgers were great. The fish and chips also looked gigantic. First time visitors. We live nearby and will be back soon. All of us (including our two dogs) loved it. Thanks

We arrived Saturday at 12 to a friendly welcome from the two ladies working .We were a party off three plus Ruby the dog They had a roaring fire and tables were well appointed not crammed in. Menu is not to big but good choice...

A friendly, picturesque pub in a beautiful village full of thatched cottages and history, the King's head is a must for any burger lovers. The rest of the menu looks great but after trying their burgers I just can't bring myself to try anything else....

A lovely little gem, nestling in the picturesque village of Haddenham a pleasant 15 minute stroll from the station, surrounded by thatched cottages and a short walk from the village pond and green. The staff are absolutely lovely. Friendly and welcoming. The food is really good (the burgers are extremely good) and the choice of drinks is sufficient even for a fussy person like me. Child friendly and dog friendly. A proper village pub. Well worth a visit.

Lovely country pub tucked away in the heart of the old area of the village. Great food, fantastic atmosphere really friendly, live music on Sunday afternoon after lunch service is over. Beautiful interior, real fire and exceptionally lovely ladies loos. Big car park and lots of outdoor seating.

My meal was fine. Some members of my party complained about their desserts- mine was ok- no more than that.

Lovely gastro pub and amazing atmosphere. I visited by chance and it came across as a pleasant place to socialise with plenty of food and beverage options to choose from. They seem to organise music nights too. However, being busy, I had to wipe my own table and clear it. Hence the score.
