Excellent course Very welcoming and friendly members Recommended

The members here don't care much about safety of players. We had several near misses with players behind driving into us when we were in the middle of the fairway! On the 14th there's a blind drive and a sign telling people to use a viewing platform, but the members ignore it. Someone's going to get seriously hurt soon. I won't risk it again. A shame because it's a beautiful course.

Although a relatively short course, the tight tree lined fairways and steep hills make up for it. Can score loads of points, no matter what your handicap is, we'll be rebooking for next year.

I absolutely loved this golf course as it wasn't your typical driver wedge track. Very well laid out, with tee boxes, fairways, bunkers and greens all well manicured. I would suggest getting a buggy if you're a little unfit due to all the hills, yes hills, but all with great views of the forest. The only downfall was the kitchen was closed by 4pm. Definitely one of the best courses I've played locally but you have to be straight off the tee especially on the back 9. Thank you for having us 👌🏾

Picturesque golf course with an easy to moderate rating. A true pleasure to play there. Perhaps the lady manning the bar, could use some lessons on customer care otherwise 10 out of 10.

This course was absolutely brilliant and underrated. This short but tight tree lined course is one of the best courses I've played in the UK. Serious value for money. The course is hilly, so be prepared for some uphill walks, but it's well worth it. Every staff member we met were very friendly and the Bunker Bap was very tasty. Look forward to coming back again

This was our second year of attending one of the December Party Nights. As a group of work friends it's wonderful to have somewhere to have a delicious meal and a 'disco' to follow. The staff couldn't be friendlier or more helpful. I have also experienced their excellent afternoon teas. Can't recommend too highly.

Excellent Sunday lunch. Amazing views

I had the pleasure to take 3 Widows & my Wife for Afternoon High Tea, washed down with a couple of Bottles of Sparkling Wine. The Round Sandwiches were Delicious. The selection of Miniature Cakes were Equiste & the Home Made Scones with fresh Clotted Cream & Strawberry Jam were to Die for. The above were not only Presented Professional but by a very Friendly, Bubbly Lady.

Visited today for Sunday lunch an it was not a good experience at all long wait for food that wasn't very good at all over cooked meat an veg barely cooked roast potatoes and watery gravy. I had high expectations and was very disappointed

The best golf course in the area. Played yesterday in the Seniors open. The competition organisation was faultless, course in fantastic condition, exceptional food. John Weston, pulled it all together, brilliant day.

Excellent food and service - a great place for meeting friends

14 in our party of aqua lady friends. Had a deliciously tasty afternoon tea menu which the staff prepared for us as a 'brunch'. The food was beautifully presented and plentiful. There was an option for alternative teas. The staff were friendly and helpful as always. We're already looking at rebooking in December. Can't recommend highly enough. Stunning setting in the sunshine too!

Great course and not just because I played 3 under my handicap!

A delightful course with a good variety of shaped holes. In many ways it is visually very tight with trees lining both sides of the fairway, but in most cases it is not as tight as it looks. The greens are superb - again with some very interesting breaks that require your concentration. The clubhouse is very friendly and welcoming. I thoroughly recommend a visit - you won't be disappointed.

One of the best courses I've ever played, some stunning holes. The greens are perfect and the tee boxes are better than some golf courses greens!!

Not the normal place for Sunday Lunch,but very good indeed. Very large size portions of melt in the mouth beef and lovely ladies serving. Booking is strongly advised as seemed pretty busy to me. Spotlessly clean toilets,well above anything else I’ve seen. One for the wish list.

Well what an absolutely lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon with 58 Jazzercise ladies. An afternoon tea with five different types of filling in the sandwiches, the most delicious scones with cream and jam and all those superb mini cakes and as much tea/coffee as you can drink. Took home doggy bags as we were all totally stuffed 😍

Gorgeous views. Ate in the clubhouse, really enjoyed the food very much.

Greens and fairways in great condition you certainly know you have played the course when you are walking up the 18th.

Visited for an awards dinner. The venue fitted our needs, it has a bar, the food was delicious and portions were not small. The view is amazing.

Friendly staff and a challenging course

First time visit here on 2nd June 2022. The best golf club I’ve played at for a very long time. From the very friendly welcome and helpful guidance about the course at the pro shop, to the great service at the bar after the round. It was a pleasure to visit. The course was impeccable with the truest greens I’ve played on all year, not a pitch mark in sight either. So many friendly golfers around the course as well, clearly all enjoying themselves too. Don’t let the low yardage fool you, this is a very testing course with tight tee shots, some small greens and many holes played up severe hills which balance up the yardage. One of the only courses I’ve played where I feel like the green fee was a bargain.

The best golf club in Buckinghamshire

Went there for a Christmas dinner with my wife's club and ample, good food, helpful and friendly staff all at a very reasonable cost.

Challenging course, in pretty good condition, very scenic with the trees changing into their autumn colours. Very well presented clubhouse, with an excellent lady behind the bar who is a real credit to the club. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit there today.

The course in my opinion is in poor condition.

Great course but not easy to walk so I recommend a buggy. Lovely greens and fairways and fantastic staff in the shop.

Absolutely stunning course - incredibly picturesque, the new 8th is one of those once-in-a-lifetime holes that'll have your heart in your throat! Teeing off on the second is incredible too. Very well maintained with good fairways and greens that have recently been aired. Lots of uphill/ downhill holes that provide a fair challenge. Every hole has its own personality that makes it memorable. Paid £35 but would happily pay much more! Visitors with mobility issues would be well advised to consider a buggy.

Banging gaff, fantastically kept all the way round the course got a breakfast for a tenner that has 4 sausages and 4 hash browns on it as well as the usual suspects and a bucket of baked beans. But the young man in the pro shop can't add up, anyway I'd give it 6 stars if I could

Course in great condishon credit to green keepers

After being let down by Missenden Abbey and having to book with short notice we visited Chiltern Forest Gold Club for afternoon tea, it having been recommended on a local village facebook page. Wow! We were not disappointed. A sumptuous and excellent homemade afternoon tea with fizz. 4 types of finger sandwiches all generously filled and 6 types of cake for two. Cakes were all fabulous and included lemon torte, strawberry cheesecake and chocolate macaroons along with the usual scones and Victoria sponge. Everything was superbly made and presented and absolutely enjoyed ! Sarah was warm, welcoming and attentive and we throughly enjoyed ourselves. Would highly recommend, as my friend commented "the best afternoon tea I have ever had" We will be back for sure, thank you for a wonderful time and for making the disappointment we had with the Abbey completely forgotten!

Wonderful course, makes you think about your game and is one for controlling your tee shots and planning the approaches carefully. Always enjoy every round here, it’s steep, so an electric trolley is a good idea, or you’ll find yourself on some holes, needing to stop and catch your breath before the next shot. The new 8th is a great addition, views around the course are spectacular.

Great golf course. A real variety of challenges and tee shots required. Great views of the Chilterns. Greens roll so well and it's playable all year round. What's not to like. And afterwards you have to try the brie and bacon baguette with cranberry. Simply the best ever.

Course was amazing and everything I hoped it would be. All the staff was very friendly and was extremely knowledgeable about the course. I would definitely recommend this course for any who loves golf.

First time here for an afternoon tea with friends. The club was covid secure, tables very spaciously set out and all staff wore masks and customers unless seated. The lady waiting us could not have done more, she said she was only 2 days into the job and I must say her customer service was top notch! The afternoon tea was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. We were sat by the window with a beautiful autumnal view of the golf course. Wonderful experience and highly recommended!!

This is the best golf course in the area, 18 individual holes that will challenge golfers of all abilities. The course has three challenging hills but the holes at the top are worth it, the views over the Chilterns are breathtaking, highly recommend this course

Fab evening, lovely staff and great food. Sixty people and only the sprouts were left on the table. If you need a venue for a party then you cant go wrong with Chiltern Forest.

The course for mid December in excellent condition

Amazing setting, greens in fantastic condition considering the mad weather we have had! I guess it’s a little physically demanding for some, but an interesting course all the same!

Superb golf course set in a forest to test all handicaps. The fairways are squeezed between a line of trees and keeping your ball on them is your first challenge. Lots of shots are into raised greens so you cannot always see the pin position. The greens temp you to believe the ball will run a certain way but when you putt don't be surprised if if moves the opposite way. Overall a very enjoyable but testing round awaits you at this beautiful course.

Well groomed greens, spectacular views and a good golf challenge

The course is in the process of being updated and I think the changes will be great. The price currently seems a little steep whilst there are temporary greens and tees being used for some of the signiture holes, but all in all its a lovely course in a beautiful setting, I look forward to playing it again when the course is finished.

Stunning golf course in the Chilterns. Fair bit of work going on in improvements so some temporary tees / green, but still a fabulous place to play.

We played the last 3 or 4 years now...30plus golfers.. Brilliant track, proper golfers course.. Stunning greens, soft and fast... Just love the place... If you want a challenge.. Its Chiltern!.. Oh and the staff are excellent and a pleasure to deal with.. Thanks Chiltern for another great days golf! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

A nice very hilly course that will have you blowing. A selection of almost unique uphill holes will test your game and judgement. Greens were fast and true and in excellent condition. Fairways OK. But undulating so placement key. Good views and well worth a visit.
