The best restaurants serving Default food in Duke's Sefton North West

Food terrible, staff clueless, prices high. I was there a few weeks ago and the place has completely changed. Never again for me and I would avoid at all costs

We’ve just been. The chocolate cones x3 were all mouldy and the famous pink and white ice cream tasted terrible. Artificial, full of nasty flavourings and not like it used to be. Dreadful experience all round. Definitely avoid. How can 3 cones be mouldy in the middle of August - surely their peak season? Eeuugghh!

Great food, great staff 👍🏻 Go here most Sundays for roast dinner and to meet friends. Always have amazing food and a great service from staff.

Heard it was a pub with cask ales and dropped in on a Saturday night. A fabulous live acoustic musician had begun playing , so good in fact that the entire room began singing along and some people were dancing. There are three separate rooms and all were full with people looking for a space. It also does tea and coffee for those of us who drive but don't like 'cold drinks'. Our aim was to try a few pubs, but we loved it so much we stayed until it closed This is our new regular from now one - loved it and we'll definitely be back again

After a stroll we ordered some food. The sausage bap was overcooked burnt. Not the best experience. Which is a shame really.

Food was not up to much my friend had mixed grill all undercooked taken home for the dog did mention it but did not get much response ,I had tuna mayo sandwich could taste vinegar in it not much Tuna at all had a bad tummy ever since got home think the Tuna must have been off giving that pub a miss from now on

Such an incredible place to enjoy the pier and views of Southport from the sea .... Great staff and great owners. Make sure you check before you travel there as the local council are messing them about at the moment with pier repairs. Definitely worth a visit when they are finally allowed to open. 10/10

Bar overcrowded so ordered via the app. Twenty minutes for the drink to arrive. Breakfast arrived a couple of minutes later and was shocking... Look at the picture. I have sent the breakfast back as I'm sure anyone would and requested a refund. The young lad who served the breakfast says I have to go and queue at the bar now to ask for the refund. Regards.

Different. Old market turned in a food hub different foods such as Italian Greek sushi fish goujons chips really tasty toilets stunk

Soup was supposed to be tomato, but wasn’t great! No fresh vegetables with pork, all frozen. No apple sauce. Dessert consisted of choice of 2 different cakes. Avoid dinner if you stay here.

Arrived at 11.30am on a Saturday ordered food and sat down, very busy, many tables dirty one female young member of staff had a filthy uniform on. Food arrived after 15 mins which was fine but 20 mins later still waiting for a knife, complained got a refund, staff never apologised but did offer to heat it up in microwave. Apparently knives are all in the dishwasher! What a shambles! Staff unbothered, never seen such slow unhelpful & miserable staff in my life!

I popped in to Southport branch today for some food shopping. Having not been there before I wasn’t sure of where items were. There was a young man called Cole who was extremely helpful and Smiley nothing was too much trouble for him. I very rarely comment on customer service but when it’s exceptional I feel it needs to be recognised. Thank you cole !!

It was such a nice day and the sun was shining so decided to take a drive to Southport for a Fish and Chip lunch, as so often before we decided to lunch in the Embassy Fish & Chip Restaurant in Nevill Street. We ordered two senior fish and chip meals at £6.50 each from the menu - we waited over 30 minutes for it to arrive at the table - Chips & Peas OK but the fish was just a small slither of fish covered in very crispy and non edible batterer.The meal also included bread and butter which I had to ask for from the counter staff, I would certainly not recommend this restaurant to anybody, we will never return it was so bad.

A much better meal than I expected delivered to a really high standard in a restaurant full with quirky brilliance and very carefully and loving prepared

Excellent pub cheap beer £3 per pint Staff were very helpful entertainment was great This pub is for mainly over 25s
