Noisy, crowded, too many tables in a small room. Starters were ok, pretty basic. For main course had swordfish, which was ok (oily, tasting of nothing but garlic) but all it came with was a small side dish of veg - which were so undercooked the carrots were hard, let alone the broccoli which was raw. Will not visit again.

Maybe the best pint I’ve had. A cracking lager selection, these guys deserve all the credit they can get. Will be back very soon thanks

I had the sea bass and cockle sauce which was delicious. It fell apart a little at desert. It was microwaved and that spoilt it. I would have preferred the staff to tell me my choice wasn’t available and I would have been happy to choose an alternative. Overall our meal was lovely and I will return.

Booked a table and waited over an hour before we got any food. Service was relatively poor. Don’t think the waitress cracked a smile all night and didn’t apologise when we had to keep chasing for the food order. She wasn’t happy when we didn’t pay the discretionary service charge and her attitude was quite poor. We split the bill between friends so when we got part way through paying she then said ‘you do realise you’ve still got £xx to pay don’t you?’ I said we weren’t paying the discretionary service charge and she said we should have said before she’d started sorting the bill. What might have been best is if she’d have apologised that we didn’t feel we’d had great service and that they’d welcome feedback. Disappointed this time but never have been before so hopefully just a one off

Checked on line lots of tables for 3 till 5:30. It was 3pm got there and told there was no tables. When I mentioned the app was told you can have a table but you have to eat within a hour. Children’s meal was ok wife’s pizza felt like it had never seen cheese I got the hot beef brisket on artisan bread. Looked like a a beef paste small sandwich or dog food. was cold bread burnt No one came over till the end to late then to resolve anything tried to get attention but everyone was to busy. Avoid gone down hill so much doesn’t compare to other vintage pubs
