Family Feeding Centre No signs on where to go if you booked a table, just stood at the bar waiting for quite a while. Eventually we asked at the bar and got our table, but with hindsight I wish we had just walked out there and then. If you like squawking kids, stinking carpets and members of the public walking past your table to use the toilets akin to a service station then this place is for you. Horrible fish and chips where the soggy batter just fell off the fish, also comes with frozen chips. Staff also completely overstretched. First and last time for us.

We had a lovely family meal, we were served by Michael who was great! Didn’t leave us too long in between drinks and perfectly timed for food orders. Food was freshly prepared and was really good 😊

Very friendly helpful staff . Food ok. Usually visit afternoon where they have special senior menu. This visit was on Friday night around 1930. Not busy for a Friday and plenty of clean set tables. Nice views of the Bridgewater canal. Overall good night out.

Had a great rest meal after visiting the market in the car park.

We were able to get 30 guests seated and served in the restaurant, no issues at all. The food was very good, and our waitress Tia was polite attentive and generally fantastic managing all our food and drinks orders for such a big group. Lots of parking space, just remember to log your vehicle reg on the computer at the bar ;-)

Been coming to the Moorings for years now, Sarah & Chloe on the bar are always a delight. Food is good & such a chilled environment, we're always made to feel welcome

Came 2 weeks ago for a staff gathering. Nothing was too much trouble! Popped in today to get my fine wiped (my fault I forgot to enter my reg) again lovely service by Michael and the young lady behind the bar.

I went to the Moorings for the markets and was served by i think was the manager with blonde hair. He coudnt have been more helpful, our food was really nice, we had a bit of a wait but we expected that as it was so busy. Will definitley visit again

You should use signs for where to wait to get served. We have been ignored at the bar for two times in a row, when it wasn’t too busy. Or do you expect me to shout at people to draw attention that I should be the one to be served next. We had to come downstairs after waiting upstairs for 10 mins, as the staff went to people who were a few minutes after us. We said we should at least be the next to be served, however got ignored again. It’s such a waste of the view outside - the beautiful day just got ruined.

I've been visiting this venue for 20+yrs, 3, 4r or more times a month. Over the yrs it's become a less appealing place to visit, but more the last 3yrs. Not only as the service become 'unorganised' staff are unfriendly, probably because of the chaos of bad management. They have also implemented the patrons 'Reg No' Rules...I've always followed the rules 'imputing my Reg' but silly me forgot Saturday 14th Sept & received a £60 parking ticket...if GreenKing think this is a 'Profit making money spinner', Wrong!!. I wont be spending my money in your pub until I'm confident I've achieved my expenditure exceeds 4+ times the ticket value. However I'm not sure I will return the management, service & decor is appalling.

Staff were very good and attentive however we should of been told there was no foccacia bread with the risotto as on the menu as we would of ordered chicken with it to bulk it out

Had a great Sunday lunch served by the very attentive Chloe, its dog frendly with dogs having own menue. Food was brilliant just what we needed after a rainy day cruising on the Bridgewater canal. Easy access from the canal for narrowboaters.

We are regular visitors to the Moorings, today 15th September (Table 29) we had a very tasty Roast Turkey and Beef duo and our granddaughter had Mac and Cheese roast dinner, a very generous serving for £4.99, the only thing I would say is hot food needs to be on hot plates as food cooled quickly, but the Sunday roasts have improved from a long while ago. Service was pretty quick today and it was a little less busy than you would expect on a Sunday, but it was only 12.30, the current staff and the manager MICHAEL are very friendly and helpful, a lot of staff changes since Rebecca moved on some time ago. The Breakfast is highly recommended here and has several options and even the smaller breakfast has everything you want and a very reasonable £6.99. The outside seating area has recently received some long awaited attention to the paving area and tables and seating. Glad to see the high seats near the pool table steps with the missing arm padding have finally gone, they were not looking their best. Very dog friendly and large free car park but remember to enter your car registration when inside.

Had a lovely lunch me and my Auntie Wendy. Had the king prawn risotto & scampi & chips. Food was excellent and Danielle who served us was really lovely and bubbly. Really looked after us!

Absolutely atrocious start off £8 for 1 and a 1/2 pints of lager, I ordered Lasagna with garlic and rosemary focaccia which turns out was not available, so chips it was then. Chips were cold, Lasagna must have been reheated at least half a dozen times, with a scattering of what looked like dead leaves. Seriously avoid, absolutely disgusting.

The location is good, but the food and service are very poor.

Weve had a great night in the Moorings with Danielle, Sarah and the team. Harry was rolling solo on the quiz (if you're a public house in need of entertainment, Harry the Quiz Master H the one for you, call Sarah at the Moorings for details) even though Danielle and Sarah came second in the quiz, they donated thier bottle of wine to us, more than likely because they cheated and didn't want to meet me in the carpark for fisty cuffs. However, great night and only £2 a pint until the 18th September. Which is probably going to be my last night here. Great laugh and great staff.

We came here on a lovely Saturday early evening and sat outside as the weather was nice. Ordered our food through the app, the sharing nachos started took almost 30 minutes to come out to us, then the mains were about 20-25 minutes to come out after that. The nachos were average, bit too many jalapeños dumped on the top for our liking. The mixed grill was ok, the steak on the mixed grill I ask for it to be medium rare and it was a bit too overdone unfortunately, the salt and pepper squid was a side to add onto the meal. The lamb shank was super tasty and fell off the bone, the mash was also nice and creamy, perfect consistency. The broccoli was way too tough and we struggled to cut through it with the steak knife from the mixed grill. We’ve been here a few times and it was pretty average this time.

Lovely views over canal and boats. Service was good. Food was average. Steaks below expectations. Vegan dish was good.

Lovely impromptu afternoon visit with friends, after a walk around RHS. Surprisingly tasty Sunday dinner. Amy, who served us, was lovely - very polite young lady who was extremely attentive.

Table was dirty, asked someone to wipe it three times but no one cleaned it, food was very disappointing, tried to order a wrap but none were available, ordered a bowl of chips, bowl with 7 chips arrived at the table

We'd booked ahead for our large cycling group and Michael looked after us very well. We enjoyed the lunchtime light bite specials on the terrace in the sunshine. Great value and service thanks

Used to love this place for a reasonable mid-week meal. Unfortunately on the last two visits the food has been terrible and last time we just walked out and went somewhere else and left the food on the table. The orders have been wrong on the last two visits and had to send food back. The meal was horrendously overcooked and dry as a dog biscuit. Seriously how do you burn pineapple! We may visit for a drink in summer but won’t be coming back for food. Really need to up the game team, we don’t expect 5 star food but it should be edible!

Excellent service, very friendly and great food at reasonable prices too. Highly recommended. Looked after a group of 11 of us beautifully.

Went to the moorings after a funeral on Monday and the lady who booked and paid for it all was niece of the deceased I think funeral directors recommended the mooring Well to say the food and service was disgusting was an understatenent I had a rump steak that was that tough and dry had to leave it dog enjoyed it the chips were cold and had been reheated, one of the other guests had steak and jacket potato that was cold, then someone had beef with mash and veg, stone cold Had to wait an hour for sweet not enough staff on, When asked how long sweet would be got told have other people besides you in really rude The fact it was a funeral we were at would have been rude to complain as I wasn't paying and the lady who paid is not from same area as the moorings I would like an explanation at why the experience was so bad with badly served up food I would never recommend it for either drinks or food and I am a local resident

Lovely pub. We had a family lunch, and got a window table to watch the barges go by. The food was beautiful presented and cooked. Our server Michael was friendly and professional. The service was excellent.....thank you Michael. Enjoyed it. Would recommend it to anyone. 👍

Used to love this place, unfortunately is not the same as per our last visit. We waited for our food over an hour (we were advised we will have to wait around 40 min.but after an hour we had to go to bar to ask about our food) kids portion of squid £1.99 doesn't feel much different from an adult one that cost around £5 😅... Nice looking prawns and chorizo starter on menu that cost over £6 was served cold and with uncooked prawns (after an over hour wait 😅) no one from service didn't even bothered to come to ask, if food is ok, or we need anything else... Whooping over £15 mixed grill looked like kids menu grill, with 2 burned onions rings and a burned piece of pineapple to hide the rest of nothing in the plate 🤣😅 Being honest the only good thing from dinner was a wine 😅 (and is not cheap!!) not coming back again ... 🫣

Nice spot for some lunch in the summertime. Food was ok typical pub menu all the favourites. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They even had some nice dog treats for our dogs.

My Lasagna was absolutely delightful, all staff were so attentive to me and my son, a special shout out to Michael and Caitlyn who saw to my every need, were extremely helpful and welcoming and saw that I received my food soon after ordering, I will definitely be returning

A pub situated right on the Quayside. I'm not sure whether it was because they were a bit busier than normal on a Monday but this pub was practically self service. We waited at the bar to be served but were ignored for a good 10 minutes before a waitress gave us menus and asked us to find a seat. Upon deciding to sit outside, we had to navigate 2 steps, one of which had lost half of its tiles which created a very narrow uneven step which could potentially cause falls. The table was dirty and covered in salt flakes but was the only one in the shade. I was served fairly quickly when going in the order food but had to collect my own cutlery and sauces. The food was delicious and hot which made up a bit for the lack of service.

We waited 45mins for food, (we were told it was a long wait) when the food came , we had to send one plate back as no sauce the other plate of food was tasteless and has black burnt bits on the plate. We didn’t complain as nobody came over to ask if everything was ok! I did ask for knives and forks nothing came so we took from another table. It’s a real shame because we have always had really nice food before.

The lamb roast was disgusting. Waited an hour for the food and when it came, it looked like it had been taken from a vacuum packed frozen meal with the stuffing in a long block which was dry and the roast potatoes about an inch long and wilted broccoli. We waited an hour apparently because they had complications because I was allergic to cheese which they have on the cauliflower. My partner wasn't allergic to cheese but he didn't get any either! We both ended up with a dodgy stomach afterwards and sick when we both got home. 🤢 Not fresh food and would never order from there again. 😕

Great for a budget meal out. I had the beef Sunday dinner. It was nice but wasn't piping hot and the beef for quite fatty. Gravy is beautiful though. My 4 year old had fish fingers and really enjoyed it. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating eith views over the canal. Lovely atmosphere.

Hiya went to the moorings today with my husband and my autistic son tia the waitress went above and beyond she was expectionl with my son brought him something to draw with the service she gave was second to non the food was amazing my husband had mixed grill and I had lasagne both was stunning the views and canal was amazing highly recommend the moorings thanks so much will definitely see you all soon

The customer service is non existent, was ignored at the bar for several minutes even though the only customer waiting, wine served in a dirty glass, when taken back to the bar for a replacement, I was offered a clean glass to pour my wine into out of the dirty one! No suggestion of a replacement drink. Need to up your customer service and have some staff training in place… food was lukewarm and mediocre at best. Will not be returning, which is a shame the pub is in a great location, but could do much better.

Disappointing service, our server abandoned us half way through the meal. We had to go to the bar to pay the bill. Food was ok, but service as bad as it gets!

My last visit to the moorings wasn't a good one the food was poor. Decided to give this place another go and so glad I did it was beautiful and the staff were so lovely .

Booked a table for a birthday dinner. The manager was great and helped with everything. Dylan the waiter was amazing, very attentive and kind. Altogether a great place to take the family.

If I could give more stars for service I would. Dylan was absolutely amazing so friendly and happy really made our meal all the more enjoyable

Michael served my wife and I with food and drink and dessert. He was both professional and charming. He greeted us on the way in and thanked us on the way out.. The food was hot and plentiful dessert was even better. Good views. Disabled toilet on the ground floor.

Great spot for a pit stop on our walk, we didnt eat here but saw the food coming out which looked very nice…staff were polite..husband liked his ale. My only niggle is I don’t drink alcohol and I love nothing more than a nice cold bottle of either Coke Zero or Diet Coke..I hate draught coke..on going in the soft drinks fridge was quite bare and alas only bottle was original coke..so just had to settle for a bottle of water. Maybe either keep stocking fridges up or as I was told had none then maybe order more on your dray delivery as if it’s selling out it obviously sells, summer here and Euros on, pubs should over stock usual amount and it’s not a great look having a bare fridge..will call back though to try the food.

So moored up and called in for the first time. It was England Euros night so busy, but great atmosphere and so impressed with the food and drink. Great price too! You could see the staff were working super hard and they were genuinely friendly. Well done team, keep it up. Daz on the good boat Njörðr.

Great service and food, venue is in a great location but some of the windows have internal fog so window table watching the canal was affected. Other than that, great place to eat
