We were served by a lovely young lady named Courtney, what a lovely welcome from her and her colleagues.

Wow—what an amazing place! The staff, the service, the food—everything is top-notch. The upbeat team truly enjoys being here, and it shows. I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was worth it. I visited years ago with family on barges, and returning brought back incredible memories. The management, the chef the amazing food, the beer—flawless. Please make sure senior management sees this because this team deserves the recognition. Amazing service throughout Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

Nice atmosphere but slow service. Half the staff running around trying the best and the other half sat on their phones.

Amy was so polite and very attentive, we had a really wonderful visit and despite the pub itself being busy and staff being run off there feet we received nothing but top notch service. Amy was wonderful to talk too and made our experience so pleasant we had a wonderful time

Fantastic place right on the canal next to the boat mooring. It was my 1st time there, and I felt like I was at the Norfolk Broad's . Lovely walks along the canal, then back to the moorings for food and drinks . Fantastic staff friendly and very helpful brilliant foods and a very friendly atmosphere and dog friendly give it a try you will not be disappointed. If you're driving, just park up and sign in with your registration number, and parking is free brilliant

Food was great full of flavour and portions great too overall an amazing experience was treated well by the workers. Amy was very polite and welcoming upon arrival and overall made the experience great! Will definitely be returning in the future

This place was great! My katsu chicken was almost like it was from Wagamamas and my family enjoyed their food. Futhermore, the waiters/waitresses were very kind to us (especially the waitress called Sarah). I think something they should improve on is how fast meals are served. Overall great place and I'm definitely going again! 😁

Amy who served us throughout the day was truly amazing at her job her attention to detail and noticed any time we needed anything would 100 percent come again for that reason alone

Been coming to The Moorings regularly for nearly a year now, and I can't praise it highly enough! From the moment we walked in, we were made to feel incredibly welcome by the amazing team. Danielle and Amy provided some of the best service I’ve experienced—friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making sure everything was perfect. Been coming here for years and always been good! Busy in summer, quiet in winter, welcoming and always a good experience.

Came in today with my friends and ordered 2 bacon cheeseburgers and when they arrived the burgers were so small and thin they didn’t even cover the buns for the price they charged was very poor but everything else is good but won’t eat there again but I’ll come in for drinks for sure

Spur of the moment booking, but really enjoyed our meals, my fish was delicious. Very family and dog friendly. The staff were amazing, so friendly and attentive. I would say my only niggle is to make sure the menus are wiped regularly as they were a bit tacky. But thank you.

Me the misses went for nice Walk stop of here.weve been here before while back nice place. stopped of yesterday early wasn't to many in. Waited over a hour.i asked for 3 poached egg on toast the girl Come out with 4 round dry bread with no butter With what looked like boiled eggs . Took it back.then .brought my misses scrabbled egg on toast.and trust me When I say it was the Worse plate food I've ever Seen and trust me takes lot to shock me. Again come out on dry stale looking bread no butter and 100 percent microwaved egg.my 12 year old Could cook better.sent it back got refund.then my food come back out the toast been done but then 3 of the eggs was boiled hard. Such ashame .lovely place and spot .Won't be eating here again.probley just stop for drink. Not Rocket science.if I was a supervisor or manager I'd be checking the food before it gets passed out. Got the order Wrong at the bar .Who's runing this place. Trust me I give honest reviews Where ever I go. Lazy Cooks if your not happy leave the kitchen. Give me a shout if you want me to show you how To make toast and fresh Scrabbled egg.i wanted to download a picture just to show how bad the cook is and What your dealing with .but it Won't let me.

Lovely pub. Food is always fresh and beer is reasonably priced. The staff are so friendly and always make a fuss of our dog. Amy was our server tonight and nothing was too much trouble for her. Always feel so looked after. Would recommend as a lovely cosy local ☺️

Not been to The Moorings for a while but REALLY ENJOYED IT!!! The sit down table service was a great bonus and Tia, the lady who served us, was very pleasant, helpful and made sure that everything was ok during our meal.

Great place to stop off for lunch or a drink as part of our walk along the canal. The fact they allow dogs inside, within a certain area, made it the perfect stop. Clean, good atmosphere and the food was fantastic. Great portion, hot and tasty.

Like to stop here whilst out walking... dog friendly, massive outside area, good food drink selection, some can feel pricey especially when it's almost £4 for a side of chips that literally has about 10 frozen chips on it! But other stuff is OK... need to FILL your cups when doing tea though, for some unknown reason Greene King pubs all seem to only fill halfway IF YOU ARE LUCKY! Often get as much milk as water! Staff are really nice, always seems to be a generally pleasant crowd there when it's busy Edit to add: Greene King, your reply is acknowledged, thanks, and of course I'm sure I could of course get more water added to my cup any time I ask... but a couple of things... 1. Shouldn't have to ask. It should be full. Your tea isn't cheap, which is fine, but whatever it is served in it should be full, not just under half way which is what I always receive in any Greene King (only the tea... nothing else is served by only half!) ...2. I'm not going to. Tea brews in whatever it is served in. The vessel should receive tea, then boiling water, in that order... you should not be adding more water as that ruins the flavour, makes it watery... would have though that would be common knowledge for anyone working in a company that primarily serves drinks....??!

Was served by the lovely Sarah, who always puts a smile on my face with her affable attitude! The food was excellent as well, a stunning fish finger sandwich, apparently cooked by Ellie. Look forward to coming back soon!

Visited for food and drinks with partner and family. Food was excellent. Staff were amazing especially Tia and Michael. The children especially loved that people were allowed to take dogs inside. Really friendly atmosphere will definitely be back again.

Tia and Micheal was amazing with me, my partner and my dog made sure my dog had fresh water and lots of cuddles. Tia made sure that we knew the all the deals on food and that was happy. Micheal was very professional and helpful.

Had an absolutely amazing time! Staff members Tia and Micheal were amazing and on top form the entire time. We were served quickly and with politeness everyone had a smile on their faces, it was an all around happy and good experience. Will definitely be coming again! 10/10

First time me and my partner have visited this pub after a long walk and it was the nearest place to sit down to have a drink and to watch the football, we got our drinks and found a place to sit and at first it was great but I noticed after about 20 minutes of being there it started to full up with more people and I would say 20% of them had dogs. We have no problem being around dogs but where we was sat/eating area there seemed to be more and more dogs, now I can understand pubs allowing dogs in but we were planning to have something to eat but it just really put me off and the longer we sat there it was getting to much. After about 50 minutes of being sat down a dog started to bark which then set off other dogs to bark and the noise at one point was unreal and I could see other people weren't very happy with this situation, I thought at this point the bar staff or manager of the bar would do or say something but nothing happened. I would be true in saying if all of this wouldn't have happened then we would have stayed for a few hours with it being the weekend but we just had to leave, I will say we will not be returning here and I can't really see anything being done about this situation, I feel the owners should think about their customers because it is a love pub with a great view, I can't say I wouldn't recommend this pub to anyone.. such a sad end to our day.

Really nice pub..pet friendly. Sign to have to park there is small, easily missable. Staff were very busy chatting to each other instead of serving. Food was nice but not hot. Tried to go over to mention it several times but again we're busy with themselves..(a very young bar) Won't be in a rush to go back although I do like it set on the canal

Just wanted to say the biggest THANKYOU, I did another review not to long ago but wanted to just write another after yet another amazing experience. The first time we came we brought our elderly grandfather, The manager there Micheal went above and beyond to make sure our wishes were met and the service was second to none. Tonight we went back with a large party of 18, we were in the snug and again Micheal and the team were absolutely amazing, from cutting up our birthday cake to providing candles which we forgot. Honestly can not speak highly enough of Micheal and the team their customer service is outstanding and the food was lovely as always. Thankyou for yet another amazing meal out🩷

We booked the moorings for our friends baby shower and it was a lovely experience! The food was really nice, and had improved since my last visit, and the staff were so friendly and attentive. The snug was also perfect with the draw back curtain for privacy. Thank you!

I was looking for somewhere where I could get a late breakfast. This was an excellent choice. They had a lunch menu, a brunch menu, and a main menu. I had a traditional english breakfast. The location is wonderful with some conservatory rooms with lovely views over the canal.

Absolute gorgeous pub in a beautiful location. The staff were lovely and dealt with our requests very quickly! Sadly the food wasn’t up to much - me and my partner ate ours but our friends had to send theirs back.

Lovely location, nice pub, polite staff but very very poor food. Chips like wood, definitely been in and out of the heat a few times and the fish was dripping in brown oil, had the squirts written all over it. I’m not one to complain, usually. I didn’t expect anything too special from a cheap midweek meal.. edible would’ve been alright. Both myself and my mother’s food had to go back and we refused a replacement due to time waited and not wanting to risk it. My daughter was happy to eat her meal and she didn’t want hers to go back.. she had bellyache all that evening 🤦🏻‍♂️

Had something to eat here, seemed they were short staffed ( loads of glasses built up at end of bar ) asked for my steak too be cooked medium came well done, waitress said she'd bring me a pint to the table, gave her a tenner and said get your own and never came back with the change. I was a little disappointed on this visit but have been in there on a number of occasions and have always liked it. Must have been one of them days. Normally a good place.

Food was a bit dry, salad was wrinkled and stuck to the plate 😬, the veggies were undercooked and portion sizes were smaller compared to the last visit. Not sure why the food quality had changed as on our previous visit the food was tasty and we were impressed. We shall go again but it'll be after 6pm time, as that's all I can remember as the difference in the food change. The location, bar staff and pub are amazing.

Sarah was excellent, from greeting us she made us feel very welcome, food was good, service was excellent. The place was quiet but it was a Tuesday evening.

Had a lovely time at the moorings on Sunday the food was delicious. Amy was our server and she was amazing such a wonderful person making sure we had a good experience and making sure everything was okay. For such a young person she had amazing manners and just overall a nice person. We will be back again soon :):)

Family Feeding Centre No signs on where to go if you booked a table, just stood at the bar waiting for quite a while. Eventually we asked at the bar and got our table, but with hindsight I wish we had just walked out there and then. If you like squawking kids, stinking carpets and members of the public walking past your table to use the toilets akin to a service station then this place is for you. Horrible fish and chips where the soggy batter just fell off the fish, also comes with frozen chips. Staff also completely overstretched. First and last time for us.

We had a lovely family meal, we were served by Michael who was great! Didn’t leave us too long in between drinks and perfectly timed for food orders. Food was freshly prepared and was really good 😊
