Nice beer garden at this wetherspoons

16 family members went in for lunch on a Sunday .didn't wait long before we found some tables together as you can't book ahead . There was a very loud group of men in the corner. Can't stop people having fun .and they left before our food arrived so thankfully after that we had a peaceful meal .

As usual, great value for money from spoons, decent service too.

The steak was like shoe leather l won't be ordering another steak anytime soon

Arrived at 12:15 02/11 by paying for an Uber there and the doors were shut even though it shuts at 1, therefore had to pay an Uber back home. Unbelievable

I had this Pub 15 yrs ago, my god it's changed internally, cheap pint being a spoons

Called on for breakfast on a Sunday morning, we visit a lot of Wetherspoons, try to try a new one each time. Pub itself is lovely looking, moved to a few table as everytime we sat down we noticed the table number was gone off the table, we found one with a sticker on saying the number on ( I like to use the app to order) ordered breakfast and orange juice for 4 of us. Juices came no problem, food was brought out a while later again. I problem, the server seemed a bit miserable, don’t want to judge as you don’t know what another person is going through, but didn’t seem happy. I always have the fiesta brunch was nice apart from the poached egg was hard boiled, had the large breakfast which was good, the new pancakes with fruit which according to my son had the biggest blueberries ever and was demolished and an American breakfast

Nice spoons, quick service and the food wasn't bad, great selection of beers and cheap whiskys.

It went wrong today.Been coming to Bulls Head for breakfast for the last few years.Always friendly and £3:14 for traditional breakfast you cannot go wrong.Well it did today.Ordered breakfast as usual and a couple of filter coffees.Kids decided they wanted to come along so order included theirs.When we were served items where missing so spoke to staff member and pointed out toast was missing.At same time my wife went to the bar to get an extra drink and overheard staff talking on walkie talkies that I had a bad attitude?At same time started to eat breakfast and black pudding that was an option was rock hard so asked for it to be replaced.I was sat with my kids so seriously was polite and place is usually great.After nearly finishing breakfast staff member turned up with replacement black pudding but decided not to eat it as customer with a bad attitude could now be eating something kicked around the kitchen.Its such a shame all the staff behind the bar and serving where new.Ive been going for years and didn’t recognise them. Think I’ll leave it from now on and try somewhere else.

Great choice of beers, spirits and soft drinks. Friendly staff, quick service and good menu choices. Food was ok and hot but chips were hard. Lovely large beer garden at rear but parking very restricted and wheelchair entrance not available. I did not like that the disabled toilet was not locked with a radar key and used by anyone who wanted to. Clean and tidy pub.

I actually love it in the bulls head. The staff are always nice and friendly and the food arrives hot and fast. It is kept clean and tidy for the most part and it has a fantastic beer garden

45 minutes after ordering food still hadn't arrived .should have been informed on arrival that service would be a long wait, had cinema tickets booked. the unhelpful manager did refund the food but not drinks after asking how much longer it would be . Note it wasn't busy, we use other witherspoons regularly never a problem always fast service even when extremely busy will not be using this one again as a result

Fantastic pub and great bar staff! Shane and Katie were fantastic, even got a shamrock on my Guinness! £2.63 a pint, I think I died and went to witherspoon heaven!

Spoons have the best priced food and drink in the entire country. They’re just about the only hospitality service in 2024 that aren’t trying to take advantage with ridiculous prices. The service is always good, the food is always sound and the drinks are always cold.

Nice and clean very big pub with a big beer garden

The only problems we had was no carpark so we had to walk a distance from town centre carpark with two disabled elderly people. And as for customers already in the pub as soon as we entered with two children the room had an atmosphere obviously children were not made welcome.

Really enjoy visiting this pub. Local people, good selection of food, bonus if buying cup of tea or types of coffee, as uou can refill as often as you want. Great meeting place, plus has areally nice outdoor area, with cover or without and plenty if seats and tables

I had the new Sharma wrap. Minimal chicken thigh . More spicy mayonnaise and ? Chilli’s sauce than chicken content . Don’t know if it was meant to be lukewarm warm? . For a chicken filling it was very minimal . Sorry not the best would not recommend or ever waste my money on this again or any wraps . Was thinking of having chips but not paying £4-30 for frozen chips .

Good value for money and good beer garden

Went in my local on Sunday 15th May at around 21:30pm & was disappointed to see a fairly quiet pub with not a great deal of punters. My neighbour and I started talking to a couple on a table who were arm wrestling a table away from the bar. The grey haired male in his mid to late 50's seemed quite merry. The female seemed to have a more athletic build than the male and seemed to be winning. Ended up having some banter with the couple & their friends and had a plesant evening chatting with them. The staff were also quite chatty & friendly. Also went into the beer garden in the rear which had one guy at a table on his own & also a table with four or five girls 20's to 30's. The drinks were reasonable prices as it's a Wetherspoons & I have sampled the cooked breakfast there a few times before which was tasty.

Last minute plans and we went for tea at the Wetherspoons in walkden. We don’t normally go out on a Weekday but we are glad we did. The staff were very nice and helpful, the food was lovely the price was also great. , I would recommend this pub. I will be visiting this pub again Date visited 10th April 24

Good place to meet friends and good food

The chips and mash was cold, the chicken was tough and the steak was very chewy and un-eatable.

Love Wetherspoons, beer cheap, food, can't go wrong with the fish and chips. Staff nice and friendly.

Our local pub - you cant beat the prices, the food is good and it's cosey place to chill in weekly!

Typical Spoons, always great value

Went for lunch at the bulls head Hotel, lovely place with good food and friendly service, I will definitely return and would highly recommend to others.

Our server today was Mike - half American and half English - with the pleasing accent and the attentive manner. We ordered the Valentine's Day special: James had sirloin steak; I had mixed grill and we both had apple crumble - mine with custard and James' with ice-cream. Two hot drinks and one rhubarb soda - all lovely 🌹 Parking is tricky, we parked in the shopping centre carpark.

While since been in a a Wetherspoons how do they do it for the money?! Was with 3 others and the service, size of meals and place itself was all excellent. As was the size of the bill for what we had!

Fabulous pub with a great selection of quality beers and absolutely rock bottom prices. Can get 4 pints of Worthingtons bitter and change out of £10 wherelse can you get this service and all the beers are top quality. Top pub that's run fantastically well.

Have you waiting for over half hour just to be served and there only one person behind the till ,😮‍💨 best of going elsewhere

Very affordable and tasty, plenty of choice of drinks

Staff were friendly but a bit quiet, very clean and tidy, they had a specials board but it was hid right out the back end of the bar, we ordered way before we noticed the small piece of white paper on the bar,,

Love a spoons breakfast. Came here before we headed home to Lincolnshire for breakfast, all freshly cooked. Service was attentive without being intrusive.

Great food nice staff very prompt service, clean and tidy , nice Christmas tree all good.

This was my 399th different wetherspoons visited. I had American burger with cheese and chips. A side of roasted vegetables, and a very good Hobgoblin Gold ale for just over £8, bargain. I can imagine it's popular here during the weekend and the warmer months due to the large beer garden.

A full breakfast and refreshing coffee with refill.

Staff are a disgrace and management have anger issues. The behaviour portrayed by staff is very narcissistic. I felt not only that but I was targeted because of my sexuality, sniggered at and made to leave. The manager chan made false accusations and even lied! They should all be ashamed of themselves. Disgusting behaviour.

Not to busy, cheap food, drinks are a bit expensive But same as else where. Good friendly atmosphere. Service was good, can use the app to order. Good size portions.

One of the cleanest most spotless Weatherspoons around, amazing tbh, almost like a newly refurbished pub, manger & staff definitely doing something right with very friendly staff & customers, keep the good work up....

Only down side about spoons is there's no music policy. But on the other hand if you want a relaxed night then this is the place

Nice and clean place, staff really friendly and helpful. Regulars come in so it's nice to feel at home. Food is good - it's spoons so you know what to expect.

Food came fairly quick and tasted nice. The burger could do with a spruce up. It was quite plain. But other than that was ok. Drinks are nice and a good price. Food is also fairly price and can get an alcoholic drink with your meal for an extra £1-£2. Place is massive! And I love the ladies toilets! Sooooo spacious and clean. Even has seating area in the toilets! I didn't take my phone to toilets so didn't get a picture, and I wasn't walking back up the mountain of stairs to take pictures! 😂. I'd definitely visit again.

Food good. One complaint. I ordered meal that included a drink. I asked if I could buy a bottle instead of the included drink. Answer no would have to pay for both wont be going again.

This Wetherspoons pub used to be great. Food was of good quality, decent prices with bar staff friendly, knowledgeable & helpful. Not anymore. This place has gone downhill. TWICE I ordered food on 2 separate occasions where they got a simple order wrong. Gourmet steak meal with a soggy piece of mushroom, small half a tomato, no onion rings or peppercorn sauce. Next time Steak n mash, brought baked potato. Both sent back & took an age to come back to me. Asked for a refund on one meal took that long to come back to me. No proper manager to rectify problems with staff not having a clue. Asked for a 'porn star martini cocktail', easy enough. The barman said he 'didn't know how to make it & just rolled out of bed not knowing what day it was'. The pub's clientele is now unsavoury rowdy people getting overly drunk disturbing other customers, tables being left messy & uncleaned for too long. It's turning into the dive it used to be. I've stopped going in there!

Staff are great, the venue is good and the prices are unbeatable.

In here quite a lot. Today was made even more special, thanked the guy who collected our plates, he was made up cos said really enjoyed that. He's from Orlando Florida, and what a lovely lovely nice guy he is . I got talking to him, and he is such a lovely person inside and out. He's been here in England a long time to look after his grandparents. What a guy.

Witherspoon pub good value food & drink.

Food was delicious and the drinks are a good price, it just got spoiled when a family of old people kicked off with each other and one of them bit another causing his arm to bleed... wasn't really nice to see whilst trying to eat food... My Luck !!

called in around 5pm lots of tables free but were all full of empty dishes and glasses chips trod into the carpet disgusting tables will not be eating there again

Be five if they had a quality lager. The beer festival is always good though.

Come in here a lot. Always great service, friendly staff, not today 19th Feb 2023. Staff that were in were very unhelpful, and seemed like to much for them to do. Not one smile between them. So avoid coming in just after 2pm, if you want a service with a growl. Customer always right, but not today.

Breakfast was okay staff were great. I will definitely revisit again.

Not good at all had to send food back because the chicken was cold very cold, my partner ended up eat her meal on her own, when she had finished her meal my meal came out after nearly 30 minutes later so I had to eat mine on my own. The whole experience was awful. Frank.

Nice place to stay bit longer [Walken] area, just near the Bolton city centre. Nice people, but very (long journey) from Manchester city centre to Walken area.

Great little weatherspoons good staff great prices

Had the pleasure of using the Bull for a small Stag Do. Lots of space so we could enjoy ourselves without disturbing the other patrons.

We enjoy the breakfast here as its decent and good value , however they really need a good toaster as the bread is either crispy white or burned.
