Nipped in for lunch, had a pizza and fish and chips, both were very good, nice hot food and good service. We will be returning here again for sure.

Had lunch here one Monday afternoon and it was absolutely delicious. We opted for the chicken skewer and pork belly mains. They were so tasty. The chicken came with fries and coleslaw, and an amazing dip. The pork belly served with optional scallops, mash and the most delicious gravy. Great sized portions and value. Friendly staff, attentive and checked in on us. Lovely atmosphere too. Would definitely come back here and highly recommend.

We came to the half term crafts morning! Such a well organised event! Play dough, painting, crafts, bracelet making. My daughter absolutely loved it! Food and drink were also great. Great value for money!!

Had our valentines meal here last night. Wasn't disappointed. 3 course meal which was a really good price compared to other places that massively inflate the cost for valentines .Food was gorgeous, staff were great..

Poor Sunday lunch greasy tasteless vegetables not cheap would not return staff pleasant but lack of knowledge about menu ingredients would not return

A last minute decision to go for Sunday dinner on the 9th of Feb 2025 when visiting family in the area. Upon ringing the pub I spoke to the manager but unfortunately I didn't get his name. He was very accommodating and managed to fit a party of three in, and even reserved a lovely corner by the bar area for 15:30. We arrived early and where seated straight away and the food order was quickly taken. Despite it being very busy the food arrived quickly, and was delicious. However for me there wasn't enough gravy (personal preference) but I received extra gravy within minutes of asking for it. I would certainly recommend and would definatley call again when in the area.

Food was lovely and was out of the kitchen in a timely manner.

Had an amazing evening with friends, celebrating my 60th birthday. Jemma our server (from the River Wyre) made it even more special, as didJordi and Kaz from the River Wyre team. Fabulous food and atmosphere...will definately be back!

We called in today Sunday 2feb 2025 the bar man said take a seat in the bar and and come up when you are ready to order my wife goes to put our order in as there is no service in the bar my wife waited for the bartender ten minutes whilst he totally ignored her and carried on serving people who had just walked in. My wife spoke to the barman and he just walked past her . He served everyone that came in after her for 10- 15 mins then another woman arrived to serve and she ignored my wife ans served everyone else. Very very rude staff. Very very poor customer service. In fact there was no service. We will never return and will encourage others not to bother going there. Obviously we were not "posh" enough for them.

Had a family meal in Dec 2024 which was nice and we were given a 50% off voucher for January 25, 2nd - 30th Mon - Thursday. We went on 30th, sat down, showed the waitress our voucher, only to be told the offer had been withdrawn! So we left. It seems that you are expected to go to the website and look up the T & Cs, where it says they can withdraw any offers made without notice. As I was registered on their app it would have been easy for them to send out notifications saying the deal was off. Wonder what would have happened if we'd ordered, eaten, then produced the voucher? Lesson learnt, never trust a hard copy voucher!

Great restaurant with great food and a great atmosphere. Staff are always friendly, helpful and can't do enough for you. Our server Janet was especially friendly and attentive making sure we didn't go without. Thank you for a great Breakfast.

Food is distinctly average if not poor and over priced

Once again not ready for breakfast punters. It says opening time is 9am, try to stick to this as it's very frustrating turning up only to be told they're not ready til 10. Last time we tried breakfast here the same thing happened, we go to coal and cotton instead, it's just nice to try different places.

One of those new pubs where your the only one at the bar waiting to be served when someone comes in after you and gets served before you. Wouldn’t it be nice just to be asked ‘ who’s next please’ so much for hospitality. I just walked out.

Served by Janet who was lovely. Food was great and we had a 50% voucher which was useful being just after Christmas. Only one thing that could be improved, we were freezing cold so maybe higher up the heating or but the fire on in the dining area

Warm friendly local. Big food portions, typical pub food, nothing special but filling. Drink prices are high £8 for a glass of wine.

Always a brilliant experience; our favourite place to eat out. Steak was well cooked and enjoyable, although I would prefer fries to chunky chips, but that’s personal preference. Only issue was a hair on the chocolate brownie, but I have been here many times, and this is the first issue in a long time, so can’t complain really. Definitely recommend to anyone.
