Good food and great location. Who doesn't love a steak whilst looking over the Quays.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff. Food was at a high quality. I would love to come again next time I go to media city.

We went today for a meal the kids nuggets were burnt and dry they forgot the garlic bread for one of the meals and the portion sizes of the burger meals are ridiculously small and considering they cost £17 each you would think you get more for your money. The food was okay however the price for the food wasn't worth it.

Allowed me to book a table for 8:45pm. Arrived at 8:45pm to be told kitchen is now closed and they won’t serve me. Haven’t eaten at Beefeater in over 10 years and will probably now stay away for another 10 years.

Came in on Sunday for dinner with my family and it was such a lovely experience!! The food was delicious and the staff were super friendly and accommodating! Eva was so polite and helpful and couldn’t have done more for us🥰We will be back again!!!

First time visiting here a few weeks ago for food and drinks. Bar and restaurant staff were brilliant; Phebo, Millie, Eva and Jack. Really enjoyed the food and lovely views sitting outside. Will definitely go again

First off, I ordered the Crushed Roasted Potatoes and the Spinach Curry. When my Roasted Potatoes came they were NO WHERE near roasted, they were actually just boiled potatoes. Then when I asked nicely to send them back the server was rude and being passive aggressive. It then took over 40 minutes to get my Spinach Curry and even then my portion was SIGNIFICANTLY smaller than the person I was with. It was so small that I had to go out, spend my own money AGAIN and buy a Tesco's meal deal because of the lack of food. The server had come back to the table a couple of times and everytime she was passive aggressive beyond belief.

Just a drink after a duck race

Attended this pub after a walk round Salford keys happy allowed dogs, however they did not tell us untill after ordering the drinks no more food serving for some time due to large party and shortage of staff, also Elderly couple came in ask for table, and they never even got told there was going to be no more serving of food, at least put a sign up outside, not wait till drinks ordered, poured and payed for to advise.

In the beautiful weather we went for a couple of drinks outside, Was so lovely sat next to the water. The two girls on the bar - Millie & Phoebe Were so so lovely and friendly. We went upstairs for food then and had dinner, the food was lovely. our waiting staff - Eva & Jack were so attentive and couldn't do enough for us. The atmosphere was lovely and relaxing would definitely recommend.

Understaffed. Lots of rubbish and glass in the outside seating area whilst we were there. Friday 11th April. Very warm and sunny and busy. Lovely location.

Didn’t stay here just went for a meal. Food was average. The meal took so long. They were not that busy and had 3 staff but it took about 45 minds between each course. Dirty tables just left for our entire visit.

Had a lovely meal tonight. Service was fantastic.

The place needs a bit of love (lots of tearing) but the service is great, the food is absolutely delicious and the view is amazing. My children loved it.

Booked a table for Sunday for 8 adults. Upon entering was told no Yorkshire puddings for the roast, (whole reason for going there). Then offered extra veg instead of Yorkshire pudding. Then was told no gamon but they had gamon for the main menu. No mac n cheese, no tartar sauce for the fish. Order a selection of food off starter n mains. Chicken was over cooked, cheese n chips smelt vile so wasn't ate. Fish had been under heat lamps for that long it had dried out so wasn't eaten. Service was awful, not once came over to ask if everything was OK. Sat there for over 30mins with plates still on table. Wasn't offered desert menu or extra drinks. We had to ask for the bill off another member of staff. Had better meals at wetherspoons. Will never be eating there again. 0 star rating as birthday meal was ruined. And will not recommend for anyone to eat here. We complained but only offered us discount for the next time we went in which we declined.

Food was shocking today. Steak wasn’t cooked the way it should of been and all of our chips tasted like the had been warmed up. Cokes tasted flat. First time in beefeaters and won’t be going again. Prices are insane for that type of service.

Long wait times for food, and very limited menus options, mainly focused on grills and steaks. Ended up ordering from a takeaway. Would not advise coming here

Cold & soleless. Poor choice of beer on draught. Was going to eat here but the place was in need of decorating. for a Sunday it had only a few people in . Staying at the premier inn next door glad we haven’t booked for breakfast . Menus need updating to show gluten free options . Not impressed

out with my mummy bear for a meal first time in beefeater Manchester salford quays, unfortunately not a great first time experience but the manager 'nick' saw us ok and apologised for the inconvenience gave us a large glass of wine free. also bar staff were understaffed so not his fault the guy on the bar tonight, it seems he is doing a job ofaboit 3 people. cant fault the Food it was lovely once got to us correctly 👌

Disappointed from the start. Ordered meals only to be advised that the prawn cocktails ordered could not be produced as that had run out of the sauce needed for them. These were ordered as a main along side the fish and chips which was the other main course. I noticed that my meal of fish and chips were already on the pass when we were informed about the prawn cocktails being unavailable due to no sauce available. So my partner had to reorder. Whilst this was happening my meal was still on the pass. Lo and behold when both meals were brought to our table the mushy peas were dried up and skinned over, the chips at best were just warm. The fish was full of oil and not drained. I noticed that the person preparing the meals had previously cooked off a load of chips and had them stored in a gastro container and were not freshly cooked to each order. These are very basic skills required to provide a decent meal but not in this case. The restaurant was not busy with only a few tables occupied, so I would have thought that a lot more care and attention to detail should have been taken.

Ok not the best pub in the world but beauty location and the most amazing staff!! Big thank you to Rox for very attentive service and care, she’s a dedicated long standing member of staff and deserves praise! Thank Roz for making my afternoon much easier!

Really disappointed with this visit which was booked for my son's 20th birthday. Firstly, because we had booked on a match day, the evening set menu wasn't available meaning I had to pay a premium for the items we ordered. This is not advertised anywhere on the website and I'm not sure why we have to incur this extra cost because of a football match? Secondly, the football fans started to leave at 7pm (the time our table was booked for) leaving just my family party in the restaurant. This sounds perfect however....we felt so rushed! The waitress who served us was lovely and attentive however, the other waitresses were 'setting up for breakfast' at the top of their voices across an empty restaurant. Far from professional or creating a relaxing ambience to enjoy our meals. Then, at 8.45pm when our mains were being cleared away we askes for dessert menus but were told that food isn't served after 9pm and the chef's had packed up so she'd have to check.....! We did end up ordering 3 desserts to share between 6 of us because we felt rushed and in the way. Cleanliness is poor - chicken bones on the floor near a small set of stairs and the hallway to the ladies loo is in darkness and on a landing with a steep set of descending stairs, only blocked off by two dining chairs. Again, far from professional or ambient. Beefeaters used to be high quality but I wouldn't touch with a barge pole now!

Ordered coke with no ice. Came with ice which was changed after I pointed it out. Ordered the steak sampler (24.99) with salad instead of chips, I was told this was ok. Came with chips, didn’t want to make a fuss so thought I would just have the chips but left most of them as I struggle with oily foods . The steaks on the sampler were not good. I asked for them to be medium to well cooked. The sirloin was so thin and overcooked I couldn’t cut it with the steak knife,so that was left, the small fillet was quite nice but the rump was really bloody and as I cut into it the blood ran on the plate. That too was left. I told the waitress that I couldn’t eat it and was offered another but I had lost my appetite by then. Was never offered any kind of refund for this. Even though I had a voucher for 33% off it was a ridiculously high price to pay. Considering it is a Beefeater you would think that the steaks should be great. Will not go there again.

Very good food good Staff polite Parking needs sorting that what puts a lot off people off Maybe put barriers on get ticket so they can orthenticate it in hotel or pub would also stop parking for football ,walkers etc etc if they still want to park there charge them but not customers who eat or drink or stay other wise would be 5*

Me and my little boy come here a lot, and the staff are brilliant.. they take their time to speak to my little boy.. my little boy loves this place and always says “the chips are delicious” can’t rate this place and the staff enough always welcomed by lovely staff and the food I can honestly say I have never had a bad experience.

Very disappointed with the quality of the food, fillet steak tough, fish looked nice , but hard I will think twice about going again.

Was very disappointed I had fish & chips and mushy peas, my fish looked beautiful but was very dry and chewy my mushy peas hard and cold. My husband & friend had steak which was very chewy and grisly! What a let down

I was in Manchester for a match and I decided to book this restaurant for my family because I was here last year and really liked it but after this visit I was very disappointed. First when we went upstairs one of the girls told us to go sit at a round table and someone would be over to us to take our order. We sat for a long time before anyone came near us to see if we were ready. The guy that eventually came to us was really nice and took our order. The kitchen was fast enough doing the food but we could see all the food sitting there waiting to be brought to the customers so we had to wait a long time before the food made it to the table. When we got the food the steak was well done nearly burned on the outside and pink in the inside and the prawns and calamari was air fried or deep fried to an inch of its life. We waited so long to get it I just ate it and didn’t complain. They also forgot the chips for my daughter and when I told one of the girls she asked me did I not get them instead of saying sorry she will get them now. There was three adults and four kids and it’s not great when you have to wait so long for service with kids it just gave a bad experience to a great day.

The food and service, Had the Oscar 50th Steak, with the Krab sauce. Was amazing 10/10 Sirloin medium rear. Serivce was abit slow at first but this was for a party of 30 plus people. Overall fantasy quality and value. Date 17/11/24

Came here on a Saturday evening for a family celebration meal. We booked at table for 6:30pm, no wait and was quickly seated, and waiter came over to take our drinks order, beyond this the service was poor. It took another 20 mins for them to take our food order, which took another 30 to come. The fish I ordered was soggy, the burgers our children ordered were all burned, overdone and dry. This used to be a great venue with good food, sadly it's fallen behind in standards. I wouldn't recommend.

Truly shocking, if only the meal was as good as the picture on the menu. Terrible service, and well overpriced. Altogether very disappointing

Iam afraid the food was poor ( breakfast). I've been before a long time ago and was nice, I had to ask for firstly, cup, then spoons, then sweetners, by the time ide sorted my coffee my breakfast wasn't very hot.

Ample seating, especially upstairs for dining. Suitable for all age groups. Friendly and efficient service. Good food selection. Next to The Quays with pleasant views. Parking close by.

My hubby and I visited for our dinner before the Ed Byrne performance at The Lowry Having read some of the reviews I was a little concerned but needn't have been. The staff were very friendly and professional, the restaurant was spotlessly clean and the service excellent. We ordered starters which came out in a reasonable time and we both opted for steak for main courser. The fillet my husband had was a beautiful cut, cooked to perfection served with lovey sides. My ribeye was delicious, well seasoned and cooked again with delicious sides. I honestly can't fault this restaurant and wouldn't hesitate in going back if in the area again. Thanks

Been here for a 40th birthday, Tracey cooking was Amazing best iv had in a while! Lucy was the bartender what a lovely women and cheselle, Eva and naeem was amazing with us as a group! Couldn’t ask for a better team

Our first visit to this pub/restaurant. We enjoyed both our food and drinks. We sat upstairs with a good view of The Quays from our table. The staff offered great service and were friendly. We would definitely return when we return to this area.

I asked the young lady for this offer (please see below comments taken from Beefeater website), but she said this £20 for two are for residents at the Premier Inn only! We had no choice but to order two mains with drinks & ended up with two desserts. The total cost was just below £50!! I have my MasterCard credit receipts, in case you need them. Great location not to far from Manchester airport all you can eat and drink breakfast for less than £12 you can't go wrong and brilliant service from staff.

Last visted October 2024. Well, the restaurant and bar? It was a quiet night. Serviced once there was someone at the bar. Few people came and went as there was no one servicing downside. Food? Take a look at the pic.... safe to say it looks better than it looks and that's saying something.

We had breakfast here every morning. The location is attractive, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the food is both good and inexpensive.

One star for the barman who offered us free desserts because our burgers were inedible. He agreed when he saw them. The unsmiling waitress had brought them after a very long wait and they were like tough,grey cardboard and stone cold. The replacements came within 8 mins and were warm and much better. Won't be back.

Had dinner with friends. They were going to a show, and we couldn't get the staff on, attention to pay. My friends left & I got a staff member to get a bill & she couldn't take payment. I went to walk out & pay In the premier Inn. The staff took the payment then. She wasn't very friendly about the issues. I'd think twice about eating there on a Saturday night.

Toilets and outside area totally filthy - will NOT be going there again.

We used to love it here but the place has changed massively! Called in a couple of weeks ago and the two lads behind the bar were great. We went in last night for food in the "restaurant" upstairs, I had booked a table online, got to the top of the stairs and waited five minutes before someone came to us, I didn't mind that what did annoy me was the three waitresses that walked past us and didn't even acknowledge we were there, I found it a little rude. When we did get seated I had to wipe food off the seat, the table was sticky, menus sticky. The toilets were a disgrace. The food wasn't great, over cooked chicken and overpriced for what it was. Service wasn't great, our waitress looked like she just didn't want to be there and wasn't very helpful. We just didn't like the vibe of the place at all. Went downstairs to get a drink, same waitress behind the bar, ordered and paid for drinks, they didn't have what I wanted (but they did upstairs) so I had a cheaper drink but had to mention a refund myself as we had already paid for a spirit they didn't have. We won't be back. Such a shame it used to be a great place.

After a Utd game, we came here for some food. We had visited before and found the food etc. very good. But not this time. The whole place seemed to have a patina of stickiness on tables, toilets, bar counter, doors. It strongly suggested the place needed a proper cleaning and not just a wiping down. As for the food.... My burger was probably over-cooked for a customer three hours earlier and returned. I should have returned it too rather than attempt to eat it. Dry, singed and lacking any worthwhile accompaniments. My partners ribs seemed of similar vintage and were incinerated. No brownie points for the bar staff either, though one of the kitchen staff was very pleasant. Pity. With some good management this place could be very nice, given its location and space.

On my own for work. Looked after very well by Tracy, who made me feel welcomed and comfortable. I'm on a low carb diet and it was easy to find a suitable meal. Great Beefeater.

Came here for a family dinner but was informed the upstairs restaurant was closed due to short staff. Had to dine downstairs in the pub area and order yourself from the bar. Ordered a steak to be cooked medium but was cooked well done. Not a great restaurant experience. That said, I’ve been here before when the restaurant was open and food and service was excellent.

Advertised as dog friendly. Having booked a dog friendly table, I was greeted with "you can't bring that in here". I tried to explain that I was just informing them (staff behind the bar, no one on meet & greet) that I'd arrived for my booking, but was over ridden with "you can't bring that in here". Again tried to explain, "you'll have to sit outside". Fair enough, we cleaned the table. Food average. Service average. On the whole disappointed. The rest of Manchester was amazingly dog friendly.

Did not stay in hotel but went yesterday to the restaurant but tables dirty and unwiped. Staff were hardly about the place.

A sedate and calm environment. Service by Oliver, who is pretty much the ultimate in terms of being a virtually Premier League Barperson. An absolute asset!

Well cooked meals, steaks were perfectly cooked, came here couple of years ago and much improved.

On arrival for lunch we were told we could only sit downstairs as the restaurant upstairs was closed. Which was not mentioned on the website when we booked. The disappointment continued the tables were sticky and in need of a good wipe, the chairs were dirty and stained. As the kitchen is upstairs the waitress had to carry a tray containing 5 meals down the flight of stairs. Food was average. Won’t be visiting again.

Waitresses we're great couldn't do enough for us. Food was lovely, personal wouldn't got the the tomato soup again, was too tangy for my liking. If you get to sit upstairs ask for a window seat to see the lovly view of the lakes

On Sunday 28th July I went with my family and the service and the food was delicious. Big portion, tasty and quick. Today, Sunday 4th we came back and the waitress said that the chefs usually know what have gluten and what dont have it when I asked why is gravy and stuffing on the gluten free Sunday roast. It tooks 40mins until the food came and they had to make again the gluten free meal. Was 2 mini small pieces of meat on the Sunday roast when last week was 4 and very small portionin general. The chefs, specially the young one was eating, drinking, singing laud and dancing on the kitchen. I don't care if at least they know what are they doing and they make a nice food but you can notice the difference of staff from one week to another

Stayed in Manchester this weekend and was just across from our hotel. It was empty downstairs we sat down and ordered. The chairs were disgusting and stained. We went up stairs, more lively, only 2 waitresses, who manged to drop my food on the floor, so had to wait even longer. Place is dirty, food rip off, wipe your shoes on the way out.

Came to visit today after a Manchester United Stadium Tour for dinner with my 2 sons and was greeted by Naim, he was so lovely and helpful. Food was delicious and all the staff were just so kind. Thanks Naim and staff at beefeater for a great experience:)
