First time have tried this takeaway having been recommended. All I can say is WOW. Ordered food for delivery and must say that when it arrived it was piping hot. Excellent quality and we all really enjoyed all of it. Not a scrap thrown out 🤣 Definitely be ordering again. Thanks for the great food really enjoyed it.

We are lucky to have several Chinese takeaways in the area, however we now only order from woks up as it is fairly priced, consistently high quality and spotlessly clean. Staff always courteous and friendly too. I'll be honest I'm baffled by some of the reviews! Some of our favourite dishes are salt and pepper chips, chicken chow mein, hot and sour soup, Korean chicken, beef in blackbean.

The super greens looked great on the menu, but were overcooked and drowned in a green slime. The website slipped a £5 delivery charge past me too! Sorry, but never again.

Poor quality. Fried rice like no fried rice I’ve seen before, looked like pilau rice and was tasteless. Chips like cardboard. Curry sauce very average. Overpriced won’t be returning.

I've been going to woks up since it opened. It is an amazing takeaway and I don't understand why it has bad reviews! I am from Trafford however I tried woks up as my boyfriends mum lives in Boothstown. Me and my boyfriend have recently moved to Swinton, one of the reasons is because it is nearby woks up! The food has always been amazing quality and the staff are so friendly, especially Gavin! Boothstown wouldn't be the same without woksup! The food is fresh and an amazing mixture between authentic Chinese and street food. THE BEST CHINESE FOOD EVER!!!!!!!

Wok’s up is by far the best takeaway option in the area. We have been ordering from here since it opened and have never looked back. Everything from the food to the service is top drawer.

Ordered special fried rice, har kao and mixed prawn crackers. The fried rice was the most flavourless special fried rice I have ever eaten. Bland, odd colour and the meat was dry and tasteless. The tiny har kao also tasted of absolutely nothing and massively overpriced. The mixed prawn crackers contained one thai cracker in the entire bag. Also had a bag of cheap frozen chips. Cold, with an odd texture. My girlfriend called them to discuss and was greeted by cocky attitude from a male member of staff. Spoke over her, with a patronising/condescending tone. Shocking customer service! Very expensive for such poor quality. Won’t be ordering from there again.

Ordered seaweed for my 7 year old and found an iron nail in it. I would never order from this place again. The man on the phone not only denied it but also asked me to report it wherever I want. The attitude of staff was appalling.

Food is lovely and so are the staff. Don't like the tofu though - instead of being chewy like you'd expect, it's soft and you just bite through it. As a veggie it's a bit of a dealbeaker, as almost every dish has it in.

Struggled to find a good chinese around Tyldesley area. Thought we’d try this one. The service was great and the food was even better. Salt and pepper chicken pieces were brilliant, and recommend the curry sauce with this meal. Salt and pepper ribs were also lovely. Chicken satay was brilliant, lots of flavour and the chicken, cooked to perfection. Overall a great chinese and will definitely come back. :)

Bought a beef burrito last week，Japanese style...Not sure. Beef is fresh , good! Sauce tasted very very good, delicious , like it ! But the fried rice inside is mint warm, not hot enough..... Still recommend !

Over the last few years it is very rare that we get a takeaway from anywhere as they are awful, greasy, and a complete waste of money. But I have to say that these guys have got there S**T going on. Food was fantastic the salt and pepper chicken wings are awesome. Kung pow chicken amazing.......Nuff said ! next time you ain’t cooking get on the phone to these guys 10/10. Kev McGlynn

Best food I have had from a takeaway in a long time!

Wow one of the best take outs in the area. The food it's always amazing and I've not yet had anything I've not really enjoyed. We've never had to wait that long for delivery and the driver is always polite and the food nice and hot.

Previously I had bought chicken noodles and the chicken strips were awful. Rubbery, chewy and slimy. Sadly this was mechanically recovered goop shaped into strips. Made the mistake of going again but thought buying a beef dish would mean I could avoid the goop. WRONG! Honestly, the UK should stop the sale of this goop which comes from gods knows where, off gods knows what into peoples stomachs.

Costs more than a propper takeaway and very poor quality /no flavour. Very dry flavourless noodles. The one thing you expect a noodle bar to do well, fails miserably, Cold and dry noodles do not make for a good meal. Chili chicken, oozing water and colourings. No flavour or consistency. Crispy chili beef. Neither was it crispy or chili. Soft wet beef with seseme seeds sprincled over. Not nice at all. Won't be coming back. Far too expensive to say the meal was on par with what I used to get served at school for £2 Save your money, go to an actual Chinese for the same (if not less) cash.

Recommended by my sister and what a find. Food was ordered using the simple Woks Up phone app. The food was late but I received a text from them in advance telling me. The mixed starter was good but the 1/4 Peking Duck was superb, cooked to perfection. Will definitely be using them again

Having tried all the restaurants and takeaways in Boothstown, this was my last hope of getting anything like a decent reasonably priced meal. I was not disappointed, opted for the £5 meal box served between 3 and 5 pm, and went for Duck char Sui with special fried rice and a curry samosa, i paid another £2 for the teatime special of chips with 2 spring rolls and it was all absolutely delicious. of course I couldn't eat it all at once but it does reheat to the same high standard the next day as it comes in sealable food trays, all in all highly recommended!!!!!!

Our experience of the New Golden Wok was terrible. We ordered the £5.00 boxes. Sweet & Sour Chicken with Noodles and Peking Ribs. Sweet and Sour pork with salt and pepper chips and prawn toasts. Both Sweet and Sour portions were cold, insipid, tasteless and looked grey. The chips were cold, chewy, clearly refried. The prawn toasts were cold, chewy and refried. The ribs were inedible. Tough, chewy and dry. This was the first time we've used this place and the last. Horrible vile meal. We rang to complain but were offered no refund, nor a replacement meal. Please take my word for this and don't bother or waste your money.

Very friendly staff. Always helpful and accommodating. Food is great too. I would highly recommend this take away. If you've not tried it then you definitely should. Happy eating!!! :)
