I used to go here when I was a kid with my parents. I've recently been back to see if it's still as good as it was. Verdict; No, it's even better! It's so good I feel like proposing to the cheff! Always has been the best Chinese takeaway! Very highly recommended.

Hygiene is not up to standard, I found a piece of hair on the fish and chips I’ve ordered and it was way too greasy to eat, so I couldn’t finish it. I’m completely turned off from coming here again.

really nice people, really great food. it's a bit cramped but in nice weather you can wait outside for your order. the food really is great and the prices aren't bad either!

My usual go to Chinese. I think there must have been a change of chef as the quality of food has gone down hill. The fried rice came in a lump and the rest of the meal, while looking fine, lacked the taste of previous orders. I will find somewhere else next time.

Very disgusting Chinese food shop I ever been to . Never to go again. Very rude people and also doesn’t know English. Handed over a £20 note had to ask for my £10 note after she gave me the change and was going to walk off. Food was a waste of £6.40 bland and only 6 pieces of beef in a beef in oyster sauce avoid.

Gravy like water, don't think they know that mushy peas should be mushy! Absolutely disgusting! Should just stick to Chinese food. Congrats to Holland pies for the pudding tho.

This is our local Chinese and I must say every meal we've had has been delicious however this time I took the plunge and ordered their sweet and sour vegetarian chicken as I usually only order vegetable meals and I must say I am blown away! This will be my go to order from now on so if there's any veggies out there, I'd definitely recommend! Yummy!

Pretty unfair reviews about language barrier and waiting, it's a Chinese, if you want english go English. Never had an order messed up, collection can get busy which shows people like this place. The food is great qaulity, I go for duck which is on the bone and fresh and sweet and sour pork. Ordered many times always tasty. Big selection for vegetarians also. This place did go downhill a few years back but new owners do good scran 👍🏻

Food generally good. English not there best ( language) but if you repeat what you want then it's Job Done.. Not open on a Monday. Shame. Order in advance if you can. Normally lengthy queues. At dinner time

Absolutely disgusted with the service, rang in my order a d given a collection time snd still ended up waiting 30mins for my food,no apology was given, after just finding out it's new owners i will no longer be using this takeaway after using it for the last 15yrs, also the food was very substandard which has only enhanced my decision..

Pretty nice chips and chip barms. Prices were average for area. Staff were polite and efficient. Cash only. Accepting card payments would probably up the rating.

Order food from here every week - excellent choice to choose from and it is all freshly cooked before it reaches you. The staff are friendly and efficient.

Best chippy EVER, delicious food every time. Only downside is that this place is pretty much rammed all the time but I guess that's because of the great food. Highly recommended.

Bought chicken chow mein for my girlfriend, it was slimy, horrible and badly cooked. The chicken was fully of jelly and was an awful cut of cheap meat that we decided might not even be chicken. I am a vegetarian and ordered plain noodles, plain seaweed and chips. I was disgusted to find that my seaweed was covered in fried pork dust (something that was not mentioned either on the menu or by the server) As a vegetarian I found this repulsive and had to avoid that dish entirely. Would not eat again even if it was free.

The food is ok, the prices are also ok, but don't order over the phone because they will only sort the food on you get there, you have two people serving one will be shouting out orders (i think because you can not understand her properly) and the older lady will be taking orders over the phone (she can have an aggresive tone in her voice) i understand that they are busy most of the time so why not employ another person to help out .

Let's be clear from the start,it's a Chinese and that's what I order every week,it's tasty,affordable and clean,as for the reviews about the fish,if you wanted a traditional fish and chip supper then go to an English Chippy,I don't even agree with the reviews regarding the portion of chips that they serve,I think a portion of chips would easily serve 2 people,best Chinese in swinton! Peace!

Hit and miss. Small fish, and inconsistent quality chips. Can't comment on the Chinese side of the menu, just the traditional.

Disappointed - 1 star is too much. This place doesn't cater for vegetarians or pescatarians (people who eat fish but not meat) who would like to eat chips as the chips are fried in the same oil as their meat such as chicken and sausages. This is a real shame as in this day and age one would think that frying chips in vegetable oil separately to the meat is not a difficult thing to do but anyway I am not criticising their food as I haven't had the opportunity to eat from here.

Ordered a large fish and chips, my wife ordered a small. Her fish was larger than mine, the only difference being I had a ton more chips! My fish was mostly batter so had to hunt around to scrape out the cod. The chips were soft and white plus they don't do tartare sauce. If you want bog standard fish and chips then this is ok but it's not great quality.
