I ordered 2 portions of King Prawn Fried rice today August 25th 2024, and it was my first time of ordering from there, as I happened to be around Swinton and wanted a Chinese meal. Unfortunately the food was very salty. But that’s not even the catch. Here’s the catch, I rang them back to give them the feedback in a very polite manner, and the Chinese lady kept blabbing about how they have been in the business for 14 years with no such complaint. She couldn’t even say “oh sorry about that, we’ll make the service better next time” she was just all defensive and kept sounding like a broken record about how they’ve been in business for 14 years bla bla bla and that my taste bud is not tolerant to salt. That was so ridiculous!!! Horrible customer service! I will never recommend 👎🏽

A 4 out of 5 stars is fair, their mixed starter box #11 on menu was really good 👍🏼

I have ordered from this takeaway twice, the first time both myself and my family member got sick shortly after eating from here, however yesterday I thought maybe to give it another chance, and now my partner is violently throwing up, the coincidence is too high for this to not be food poisoning again. Absolutely will not be eating from this take away again, I'm presuming food is rushed out too quickly or hygiene standards are lacking. Extremely disappointed.

Great Chinese takeaway food. Very pleasant staff. Very friendly and nice to deal with. They have a good selection of food at Very reasonable prices. Well worth a visit. Go try it for yourselves. They also do local deliveries.

Ordered last night for delivery. Food was vile and inedible. Really poor quality. The chicken in the Salt and pepper box was rock hard and did not look fresh

Told 20-30 minutes for delivery, 1hr40 still no sign of food. Called to find out when it might arrive then told at least another 20-30 minutes. Not ideal!!!

It’s a box of fried onions placed at the bottom of the tray and then fries placed on top. Absolutely no difference between those and plain chips ordered for my son. No flavour what so ever

Best Chinese Takeaway in the area. Lovely food, great service. Can usually Collect in 15 minutes or delivery about 40 minutes, depending on how busy they are. Very clean & tidy shop, always smells amazing in & around it.

Didnt think much of the salt n pepper items.looked like traces of onion put in.ribs were just fried and deffo not salt n pepper.curry sauce was the best thing about it.

One of if not the best Chinese takeaway in the area and I have tried a lot of them. Really nice food at a reasonable price, good portions of everything as well. Only downside is the chips are just frozen chips for the salt and pepper chips but I can live with that.

Had one of the best take away meals ever tonight (made better because I had strong pain killers) I’ve had my wisdom tooth out and the first time I’ve had a meal in a week. They cut the meat smaller for me as it’s difficult to eat. It was so nice. Will be coming here again.

Fried rice was just luke warm . Sweet and sour ball were just off being burnt. Sorry but will go back to Good Food for a delicious meal . Will not be ordering from you again

I have been coming to New Wok for absolute years, as a family spread across Salford and Bolton, we all come here for the best Chinese & Thai food around. Tonight’s meal was absolutely outstanding and reminded me that I don’t praise local businesses enough for the work they do. A massive shoutout to the team here, they are top quality❤️ P.S... the Salt & Pepper Chips, Beef Satay & Mixed Starter box is THE BEST

Let's get started I had some prawn toast dripping in fatty oil and we ordered duck and found this pee looking liquid around dont recommend

We had ' crab ' sweet corn soup, crab claws, fried chicken in spicy Thai sauce and mixed veg in garlic and spicy sauce. Firstly the soup was seafood sticks in a noodley soup, bit bland, would've benefited from a few chilli flakes and a bit more seasoning. Crab claws : deep fried processed seafood sticks ok but nothing earthshattering. Mixed veg in garlic- excellent. Fried chicken in spicy Thai sauce-excellent. Rice ? What rice, I wasn't expecting 2 main dishes without any rice, it's £2.40 extra if you want rice which I feel that should be mentioned somewhere on the menu. Quickly delivered and overall very nice main dishes, let down by the soup,sides and lack of rice, next time I'll get the chicken, veg and some rice.

laced with MSG water bill just doubled mouth is that dry good service but good food doesn't need flavoure enhancers Only bad quality food needs MSG to make it taste nice my mouth is sore there is that much salt in your food Now I realise why there is never no one in the takeaway

First time i have been here ordered soup and main meal was very fresh and full of prawns and meat bit pricey but taste wise perfect ...I recommend

Where do I start..... Prawn Toast was dripping in grease, the ribs were just full of fat. I ordered a Chicken dish and never in a million years is that proper chicken it had a jelly texture absolutely vile. My partner ordered duck and at first this seemed to be the only thing we was enjoying, however we open the Hoisin Sauce to find a dead fly in the tub. Our only wish was that we both wernt Ill this morning. How wrong could we be, sparing all details! This is the first time I have ever reviewed any food place in a negative way as I'm not one to complain I would just normally not go back. However I think it's important you all know our experience at New Wok so the same doesn't happen to you.

Love there salt and pepper dishes always go there only downside is not proper chippy chips but as is the way with most Chinese chippys now days

delivery time was a joke and food was horrendous, my mother ended up in the hospital for two weeks with serious food poisoning!

Food took ages to arrive, the chips were awful curry was missing off the order, came 10 minutes after we phoned to tell them won't be going back

If you want innovation, and authenticity, go to Chinatown. If you want a local Chinese takeaway, cooking all your favourites, try New Wok. The food is good, delivery is quick, the drivers are friendly and they have a five star hygiene rating. Recommended.
