Food prices are scandalous if you order on just eat or Uber eats, then the takeaway just seems to blame any issues on the likes of Uber eats delivery drivers, if Uber are so bad the takeaway shouldn’t use the Uber platform but they clearly put profits before customers.

Ordered online. Driver didn't bother coming or phoning. When I rang the restaurant they wanted me to come and collect food that's been out of the restaurant for over 30 minutes. Don't think so. Rude on the phone just talk over the top of you. Won't be bothering again.

absolutely disgusting. food came cold and stale. luckily i tried it before serving it to my children. which was meant to be a treat. rang the shop they actually admitted that food could be cold and stale because its a "busy" night. please dont think you can make do. if you run a restaurant/takeaway you should never serve food you wouldn't eat yourself. do better Food standards please look into this restaurant asap

Ordered food with a drink on Uber. When delivered the drink wasn't there. The driver searched his car and couldn't find it. Contacted the store and they instantly denied that they had left the drink off the order. When I reiterated that I didn't receive the drink, the restaurant immediately blamed the driver and said he absolutely must have drank the drink on the way. I thought this was very wrong, and I asked if there was a possibility that the restaurant staff could have possibly missed the drink off the order. The restaurant said there was absolutely no way because their staff "Don't get things wrong." The restaurant then called me a liar for saying I never received my drink, and refused to send a drink out, which I have paid for. I thought it was very poor service that the order was incomplete, the owner called me a liar, was very quick to blame the delivery driver of stealing my drink, and refused to accept any possibility of wrong doing. The food otherwise was terrible, tasteless, cold, and seemed as though it had been sat for a long while before being sent out. Absolutely terrible restaurant. For the sake of keeping their customers returning, I would have thought they would just send a replacement drink out. Cannot stress enough, do not order from here. I never received my drink. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area which are much much better.

Ordered the Salt and pepper box on Uber eats. When I say nothing in the box was cooked, they can’t even get the chips sorted. They’re still raw potato dipped in oil😂🤦‍♂️ the only thing in the box that was remotely cooked was the ribs, they were absolutely cremated and inedible. We threw the lot in the bin and got a refund from Uber! Honestly Wouldn’t bother, if somewhere can’t cook chips who knows what else is going down😂

This is my go too chinese in eccles. I get the singapore fried rice with special oyster then i mix it up at home. Tasty 🤤

I have no words.. Preparing for illness tomorrow now, had to throw absolutely everything away, would never order from here again, I can not believe I bit into this Refund given from Uber and rightly so because wow.. You have been warned, be careful! Also, reported to the council who did an inspection, I requested the paperwork that made this place go from a 5 star to 2 or 3 now I believe? (It hadn’t been inspected in over 4 years) and was not allowed to see it apparently so anyone made ill going forward, Salford council haven’t done their job right and this place has been allowed to sell raw food and food against health and safety standards

Ordered crispy beef egg fried rice and 5 hours after consuming was doubled over with stomach cramps, only way to alleviate pain was to make myself sick, haven't been to the toilet once since and am currently in a&e with a suspected bowel blockage. If I could give a zero I would and have passed the issue on to Uber and am taking it further. Avoid at all costs

Chow mein best I've had in Manchester, ribs and prawn toast are great as well, has never disappointed

Undercooked pink salt and pepper ribs sweet and sour chicken was all stuck together as if rhey was out to deep fry together and left to stick won't be order ever again food was trash spent 54 quid won't ever ever order again. I don't want to be poisoned

Ordered sweet and sour chicken last week, and I have to say I was extremely disappointed. Nothing like their usual chicken, was like chewing on a thick chunk of flour in a tasteless sauce. I used to go here often in particular for their sweet and sour chicken but lately everything has been lacking in taste. After this experience I will not be going back as they must have changed the recipes or have new people in the kitchen.

I really don't understand the bad reviews on here maybe their Google reviews are being confused with another takeaway because this is the best Chinese in my area I switched from my regular once I discovered ocean inn, szechuan sauce is delicious they cater to my no onion requests and it all tastes so fresh Edit* just saw review reply from new owner who took over in July 2021 so them bad reviews are basically for the old Ocean inn, the new one from July is amazing

Crab soup was just cut up crab sticks not fresh crab 😱

Singapore Chow Mein Is the best... Not to mention their Salt and Pepper treat fest and Duck Loaded fries. YUM YUM IN MY TUM TUM :)

What a joke, ordered a stir fry that clearly have never seen a wok or pan. The vegetables was raw as if they had been placed in a container and had this "stir-fry" soup poured on it in the hope that it would be "cooked" before it arrived. The few tiny bits of chicken is 100% not something they get fresh, and it is for certain that they don't fry that either. What ever you do I can guarantee that your money is better spent elsewhere, do not encourage this sort of scam. But 5 out of 5 if you want watered down soup with raw vegetables as your stir fry

If I could give them 0, I would. Food came after 2h and cold. I ordered a stir fried chicken in satay sauce and it tasted like nothing. It wasn’t salty or sweet, it was just a bunch of boiled mix veg with some plain boiled chicken strips. This is the first ever review I left in my entire life. I am so disappointed. When I called they told me that this is how they make food and that there was nothing else they could do about it. £20 went to the bin

Not happy. Usually use this takeaway but the food seems poor. I had fried rice and it was not cooked properly properly rushed and expensive. Rice was hard. Also the guy again was rude. That's twice now. Need too look after your regular customers. Won't be back.

As it is so close to where I live, I literally order from here every friday. Everyone who works here seems lovely and the food is really good though a little too salty for the resident health freak at home! 😁 Just classic british asian take away food 👍

Wouldn't order Chinese from anywhere else. We've lived in Eccles for 4yrs and finally happy we found our go-to. The fried rice has always been the freshest we'veever had, all dishes tried are tasty and fab service too 👌🏼

Food overall tastes alright but definitely not the best. It's a little bit pricy considering the small portion you get. I ordered crispy shredded beef and crispy shredded chicken.

Never had a take out from here and was impressed. Fast delivery food was hot and tasty. I gave 4 stars for food as you only got 5 chicken wings but were very nice. Other portion sizes were good.

Food was really nice but chow mein was dry and had no sauce so was basically noodle meat and veg which isn’t very nice. Duck also wasn’t shredded which is a good and bad thing. Something to be aware of if we order from them again. Hoisin sauce was homemade and nice. Soy sauce was missing for dumplings. Wasn’t much duck in the duck fried rice so used some from the duck and pancakes

It took nearly 2 hours from ordering to get our food. Some of it was ok, but other bits were cold or burnt. Also, the takeaway wasn't bothered at all about the delay. Definitely won't be ordering from here again!

I've used this takeaway for years, always good value, always more than enough food.

Food was of poor quality. We had the salt and pepper bot and prawn dumplings. Dumplings were inedible. The salt and pepper box was poor quality items. Won’t be ordering again

Ribs had no meat on them main course was supposed to be a special sweet and sour very poor it was more sliced carrot

We have been using Ocean Inn for quite a while now and have found the last few times the high standard at the start is beginning to be getting worse. We tried to stay loyal hoping it was a blip but last night was the final straw, hence the feedback on here. To order was basically a chippy that is just a case of taking pies, sausages out of the warming area and chips out of the fryer, bagging up and delivering. It took 1 hour 20 minutes to be delivered, 20 minutes later than the 1 hour they had previously said it would take. The food was cold and the chips looked like the drags at the bottom of the fryer. Highly disappointed and now considering going elsewhere.

I was really disappointed understand it is New Year’s Eve and your probably really busy but the food was like it had been just left out and the noodles were really dry like they were over cooked. The spring rolls were the only thing that was nice... disappointing as we went from reviews which made the place sound really good. No apology for it being late
