Worse Chinese I've had in a long time

Ordered special fried rice and sweet and sour sauce and salt and pepper chips . Lots of meat and prawns. Very nice as were the chips. Best around here would definitely recommend 👍

Special fried rice wasn't so special. 1 prawn and 2 pieces of meat about 2 inch long ad half as thick... horrible

A good place with good food which taste good. There is no dine in, only take away. The price is convenient to some extent. They are fast and prompt at service. Only Cash is Accepted here, NO Card. Hygiene is good and the environment is also good. Their meals are mostly for 2 persons regular. Recommended.

Can’t fault it just got the salt and pepper munch box for me and my Son loads left but was very nice !

Awful food. Last few times iv been in food tastes stale, it's like it's been made 3days ago. This chippy use to be nice it's gone down hill

Would of given it 4 stars but for the amount of times I've asked for my dish to be extra hot (chilli peppers) and after being charged 30p extra I get home and find they've done nothing extra. Not too bad if it happen once but it's getting very regular. P.s To your reply. It hasn't got any chilli peppers in it. I asked for extra hot. If sometimes it has chilli peppers and sometimes it hasn't got any just goes to show I'm not always getting what I'm paying extra for. I haven't come across any pieces of chilli peppers on eating so none has been put in as do paid extra for. Also I said extra hot not spicy. You first reply I spice it up for you then when I mention there were no chilli peppers in it you then mention you added chilli oil. Rubbish, it wasn't hot I had to add chilli sauce of my own after eating it half way through! One star for your terrible (unreasonable) excuses!

What a mistake to make!!! Hanging. Chips tasted of burnt oil very crispy and no real potatoe inside. Portion was small thank god. I got half way through and binned it. Felt sick 🤢 10mins later.

Had beef with mushroom and fried rice. Both super good with great portion sizes, and very, very reasonably priced. Fantastic chippy!

Szechuan chicken was horrid. Chicken was boiled and the sauce was slimy. Fried rice was dry. Never again 👎

I orderd a £35 takeout to take to my caravan so I took the food In the box provided,that evening we set the food out to eat and the rice was all stuck together it was not fit for human consumption,I rang up to complain and I got the most arrogant person I have ever spoke to on the phone,he told me to bring it back I replied I am at my caravan he said bring it back,Let me say the previous owners were not like that,what a horrible man.i would recommend if you take away from there check your food because this arrogant man does not listen.

Great food, good sized portions and cheap

Came in on a Sunday night after hearing good things about the food here. Ordered the munchies box, crispy chilli beef, chicken fried rice, with some extra salt and pepper chips, prawn toast and a carton of curry sauce. The guy serving was very rude to the female member of staff on a few occasions, because he was confusing order's and getting them wrong. Including ours in the end. The curry sauce we ordered, he mixed up and put beef curry in the bag instead. I told him that was wrong and it was just curry sauce. Only to get home and find he'd actually taken the crispy chilli beef out of the bag instead. (Thanks mate 🤦‍♂️) The food we did get was decent enough, apart from the veg spring rolls in the munchie box, they should really think about changing them as they were just mush inside. With the service being how it was, I'd find it hard to order from here again knowing I could be a meal down and out of pocket. Felt bad for the lady serving with him as it was very busy, and she was very helpful to everyone she served, but was clearly finding it difficult with the guy who served us. Not surprising in the end.

Best Cod & chips in Salford & Manchester I literally drive past multiple chips shops to get to this one, and it serves Chinese food also. Plus there is a park at the top of the road where you can sit and eat and walk off your lunch.

Chippy has gone down hill extra small portions with high prices, everytime we go the order gets mixed up and you end up with missing items or wrong items

High CP value ,especially the dinner set for 2 person , the food taste good and the only problem is they give too MUCH! and 2 grow up man can’t even finish the 2 person dinner set cuz it is too much

Ordered barbecue spare ribs which was cold curry split all over food phoned up the assistant what she didn't sound bothered and expected me to bag all up for a refund avoid at all cost get better value of a grease filled kebab owner replied and what a cop out wait another hour for curry sauce I shouldn't have accepted delivery for 20 pound ordered before good ribs but now ribs looked old must have changed suppler if u was owner full of excuses replied if its my fault very bad customer service avoid at all costs

I live dangerously close (like 30 seconds away) so have to resist the temptation not to come here every evening. Amazing food, lovely staff, never had a bad experience. Portions are huge so I’m always left with lunch for the next day. Can’t recommend enough and so happy it’s on my doorstep!

Fantastic tasty food and cheaper than my usual takeaway. Delivery was supposed to be 30 minutes but arrived in 10 minutes which is absolutely fantastic. I will be ditching my old takeaway and will use Chandos Chippy for all my future takeaways. 10/10

2 hrs wait for just chicken fried rice, chips and curry and prawn crackers, wow what a joke !!! Been having this chippy since I was a baby, delivery service needs sorting, or just don't do delivery at all , don't say 1 hr if it's 2 hrs wait, stupid

Been going here for years after my last visit wont be returning gone down hill chips were greasy and hard salt and pepper chicken tasteless don't normally do reviews but this time i had to very disappointed didn't even eat hardly any was that bad used to be a good chippy not anymore big thumbs down.

Really the perfect experience, delicious food and friendly owner! Thank you for your take out service during the pandemic, and the food was still hot when it arrived! Incredibly, when I received the food, I found out that I had ordered the wrong meal due to my own mistake, after communicating with the restaurant owner over the phone, he gave me another meal and sent it to me, which was really a big thank you! Perfect experience! This restaurant is worth buying again and again!

Used to be excellent. Curry watered down, chips greasy, chicken scrappy and not cheap anymore. Shame really was one of the best but won't be returning.

Chiosnwere good today for a change but the meals have gone down hill since its been took over hardly any meat in the dishes any more ive started going elsewhere

Best Chinese and chippy ever. We’ve always had bad experiences with Chinese takeaways in Manchester, never being good enough to our home town ones but Chandos really is the best takeaway ever! Everything is so hot and tasty, I haven’t had a single thing I don’t like from them!

Very good staff. They have to deal with petty inpatient customers that say sly things under there breath, thinking there bad 😤😤 just winds me up. These lovely woman don't need to deal with this as there trying there best!! They know what there doing!! They've been here for along time!! And there working VERY hard.

Great food, large portions, shame they don't deliver but you can order ahead which is good for Friday night chippy tea because it gets very busy.

Nice fish and chips, and the staff are friendly, which is nice. The place is also in a nice area, where there arent many restaurants. Would definitely recommend people going there.

I always luved chandos chippy bt recently changed the chicken in the curry it used to b proper chicken chunks i ordered chicken curry and the chicken was slimey processed chicken a massive disapointment to say the least i will never order again untill rhe chicken isreal let me know when its bck to the old recipe thanku

Some dishes are pretty good, specially king prawn fried rice.

This is a popular chippy for its English menu but I'm giving it 5 stars for the Chinese food. In terms of value for money it cannot be beaten - portion sizes are huge and the meals are bursting with meat. The special fried rice alone is enough to feed 2 people but don't miss out on the bbq spare ribs or chicken satays. I'm not suggesting this is gourmet food but if you like crispy flavourful chinese takeaway give it a try - it certainly won't break the bank!

Very good newsagents which sells some frozen and fresh foods, plus wines and drinks. Busy all the time. The staff are friendly and helpful. I use this shop all the time.

Been here a couple of times normally really quick and always great tasting food at reasonable prices. Called on a Friday after shopping was really busy, took long for the food to be cooked as was waiting in line, great place, great food, avoid Fridays
