Two bad experiences in a row. Our last takeaway order we actually received was really disappointing. Instead of roast pork or char siu, the "pork" was Spam... Then we thought we'd try again tonight, and they rejected our order online.

Great place not gonna lie, their peaking duck is just perfect and affordable. They also make 3 dish out of a whole duck for 38 pounds. Thats a bargain.

39 pound worth of food I ordered prawn toast : nice not enough prawn to many sesame seed on top Special fried rice: rice was night but prawn tasted plain unseasoned and dry meat chewy Noodles: dry and plain but still ate them Shredded beef: full of fat chewy salt and pepper chips: really nice over all not impressed

Few weeks ago me and my partner had a sit down meal in restaurant and the food was really nice... last night we ordered takeaway. Order was placed at 8.30 it didn't arrive until 10.45 and 4 calls to restaurant later... I only live 0.75 miles away.... food was cold on arrival after being told it had only just been cooked which was an obvious lie...the food they serve in house is not what they serve for takeout... very disappointing so will not be spending our money here again.

Lukewarm food. Chips were soggy. Chow mien was plain. Took about 2 hours to arrive.

Food took two hours to arrive. Lukewarm with soggy soft chips and dry chow mein. I’m used to a good quality regular Chinese but this tasted bad. They called me to find out what I had an issue with after telling Foodhub. They then said they would call back and hung up before I could respond without saying what they would do about it. Haven’t heard anything since. I’m surprised this placed was rated on google over 4 star. Bad quality.

Family of 3 including a young child, service was very good from making the initial telephone booking to even running out to give us our sons cutlery back we forgot! The ordering of food to delivery at table was very good and all piping hot, the food tasted delicious and nothing except 1 cracker was left. We often having a takeaway on a Saturday from elsewhere, this was a reminder that we need to get back into dining out you just can’t beat the freshness of food going direct from kitchen 20 foot away. We would definately recommend and return soon!

My wife and I had negative experience eating at this Restaurant. The quality of the spare ribs were very substandard hardly any meat for a starter and very hard to eat, we did share this starter to try. My main course was Special Curry with chips, the curry had chicken, beef, prawns and something else in it that was not nice, the chips were over cooked, I guess I would of been better having rice however just fancied chips for a change. We do enjoy chinese food but this was the worse experience. Everyone had their hats and coats on as it was absolutely cold inside. No joy at all for one starter two meals and two Orange J20's. The total price was £43.90. Our first and last time. We are from North Wales Llandudno.

I’m visiting on a regular basis and just ordered from the peking duck restaurant. The food was hot and fresh and delicious. So much so that I’ve added them to my list of favourites when I’m in Salford

The food here was really nice. Nice sized portions and very tasty. We was the only ones sitting to eat but it was fine with us. Prices are a little higher than I’ve seen before but nothing bad. Reason for 4 stars is they automatically add a 10% service charge on even thought your paying more for sitting in. Can’t fault the food as I say.

Deliver is bad lazy drivers can't find your address

The absolute worst chineese I've ever been served. We ordered special chow mein and special fried rice. Both contained chopped up tinned meat (pek) defrosted soggy chicken and beef. We won't even start on the prawns. The best thing was the curry sauce and that was mediocre. Don't waste your money or risk being ill and just avoid... Decor wise the ceiling was filthy around the air con as was the fish tank. Its a miracle they are alive in there given the colour of the water. Avoid, avoid,avoid...

Decent, but there are better options in the city

Authentic Peking duck, must try. Staffs are friendly, private room and karaoke is available.

Stayed at Holiday inn literally 200 metres away Had read reviews and thought would give it a go 2 couples One review slated the decor It's fine plain white and clean Toilets were spotless Waitress very pleasant It was full of local chinese clients which to me is a good sign Painless ordering and the food was piping hot and great qaulity Good portion sizes I would definitely recommend AND if ever in the area again would revisit in a heartbeat

Fantastic food, highly recommend

No where to park, however if you do manage to get to this place, you will be dining in one of the best Chinese restaurants in Manchester. Decor is pretty horrible, but more importantly the service and the food is great. It's also pretty good value.

The peking duck soup is something else

This is round the corner from my apartment and every meal I’ve had from here is great! The waitress is lovely, food comes piping hope and tastes delicious!

Been tricked when order with the waitress, who claim whole roast dusk has special offer for £30, but still charged us £35 in the end and pretend it is £35 all along. Could be common trick to make people who want to only order half duck into ordering whole duck. Very misleading

They gave my ordered duck to someone else who didn't order, without even asking. Terrible experience

The Peking duck is really authentic, duck pancake with duck soup. Sauce is delicious. Staffs are very friendly. Highly recommended it! Will definitely come again!

Ordered and paid, 45 mins later called and they denied we had ordered!

This place is a true hidden gem. Everything is delicious and reasonably priced. I am Chinese myself and have been to many Asian restaurants, this is one of my favourite! Would definitely recommend the Peking Duck, it is slightly pricey compared to the rest of the menu but it’s worth every penny, half is a good size for 2 people but you won’t want to share. FYI on tripadvisor it says closed and they don’t look open as normal but if you phone up you’re able to order, usually open from 5pm.

Great place with authentic Sichuan and Manchurian (northeast China) cuisine. Could be the most underrated restaurant in Manchester. Never thought I'd try it before I moved to the Fusion apartment across the street, but this place is really a hidden treasure, went there 3 days in a row. Will try some different dishes soon. *Tip for non-chinese speakers, order some dishes from the REAL Chinese menu, speak to the waiter and ask for recommendations*

Awful experience! My boyfriend ordered us vegetable chow Mein with bean curd. We collected it and it didn’t have any bean curd in it. We rang back to explain and we were told that they don’t do bean curd. To our confusement. we pointed out that’s it’s on the menu, we were then told to come back and get the right order- (there mistake so new order should have been delivered to us) We picked up the new order and there were no vegetables in it and the bean curd was soggy If you are vegetarian don’t bother

Bit expensive but worth the money, very good Chinese food

Me and my partner comes here every so often to try their roast duck and it has always been fantastic. We look forward to coming back on New Year's Eve!

Modern comfortable surroundings; Warm welcome; THE BEST S & P SPARE RIBS we have EVER tasted! All courses, fresh and colorful, beautifully presented. The cleanliness of their staff, their kitchen and their toilet facilities are 5*. And the price? All so very reasonable. Enjoy your food and the whole evening instead of staying in your hotel in this heavy hotel’d area. All 4 of us couldn't fit in a dessert but they brought out a tray of sweet rice cakes, complimentary at meal end. Superb find!

Fantastic food & very friendly staff, definitely go again!

We ordered the house special platter and the pan fried stuffed pork bun. The platter was anything but special. The spring rolls and prawn toast were soggy and luke warm. The ribs were okay. The stuffed pork buns were absolutely horrific and made me sick. All of this was made worse by the fact that when they were being delivered the driver refused to deliver it to the apartment (despite the £2 delivery fee). We were then called by Deliveroo to tell us that the driver said we weren’t in so they couldn’t deliver to us. We explained we were in and we were expecting them to deliver! I think £13 for their house special platter is rather steep for two small rolls, 2 ribs, 2 prawn toast and a spoonful of seaweed. We shan’t be eating at the restaurant!

Service atrocious rude and no care

Food is very good. Big portions. Prices are quite low for the amount of food you get. Service is good and fast. The place is very clean. I would definitely go back to eat here. They have a nice fish tank and my kid loved it. They also have dinning rooms for rent for special events.

I’m returning, yet again to this restaurant for the usual starters, sweet and sour chicken and chow mein with egg fried rice. Simply the best Chinese restaurant in my opinion in Manchester, that is mostly frequented by Chinese people in couples or groups. Groups usually visiting for Karaoke in the private rooms to the dude if the dining area.

Good taste, cheap price compared Chinese restaurants in city center. A bit far away from the city center though. But I believe they do delivery.

Just want to say that the pork dish(回锅肉）is supposed to have more fat than meet because that’s how it is cooked and it’s the traditional Chinese style of this meal. I love it but most foreigner don’t think fat is also meet. Just cultural differences that you have to face.

Yes the food below average, but the worse part is that it took forever. We waited more than an hour for the appetisers and then we end up leaving without the main courses. They didn’t even care. Of course their people were attended and eating in 15 minutes. Absolutely insulting, first and last time I ever put a foot on this place. Right to the avoid at all cost list.

Very good place, I would personally come back again. The price is cheap in my opinion comparing to other similar Chinese restaurant nearby. If you like Peking duck, this is the right place, but make sue you give this restaurant a call to check if there are any ducks left. Lastly, toilet is super clean, which is a bonus for me.

Such a bad place to have to go and Parking it wasn't very ideal for family or big group, some food are good some food are never to be served on menu. Make sure you get the update menu.

I've been twice now as it's near a hotel I use when in Salford. Both times we have had great food and service, the restaurant has been quiet on both occasions contributing to a relaxed family atmosphere and an enjoyable experience at a reasonable price.

Absolutely Fantastic and authentic food. I was recommended the restaurant by a colleague who had visited previously and was not disappointed. It had a real authentic atmosphere with really friendly staff who were happy to recommend dishes etc.

No service at all. The mid-aged waitress was the worst. Understaff! At some point, different young men with casual dress bring out dishes unprofessionally. Ordered a spicy pork dish (回鍋肉), 90% is fat, but no meat. Ordered a spicy beef pot (水煮牛), found out it was missing after 20min. Fine, it happened sometime, wait another 20min, still has not come. My tea pot with the lid open for 20min, all staff ignore to add hot water until I called them, becoz I don't want to interrupt their busy work. Enough, give me the bill. Just wanna go home with my money wasted. One off restaurant.

Rather than being stuck in traffic we went again to this absolutely fantastic Chinese. The ratings don’t do this restaurant justice and more reviews need to be written in support.

So, the second time at this restaurant in 3 weeks. Having visited the “major” Chinese restaurant in Manchester city centre yesterday, I can have a direct comparison. In summary, the Peking Duck 🦆 is better in terms of the taste, cuisine and a friendly service....

We had a take-away from Peking House this weekend, and every dish was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS – side dishes included! Excellent value-for-money and the layout and décor looks great as well, so our next Peking House experience will definitely be seated, eat-in. Thank you!

Very poor. We ordered for lunch at work.. we got plain chips instead of salt and pepper chips. The chicken in ginger and spring onion was taste less and only a small portion for the price. Once the replacement chips came they were tasteless and just like normal chips with a few and I mean a few pieces of onion. Would never order again

Not the best nor the worst Chinese restaurant in Manchester. I'd give 5 stars to the service and facilities as our waiter was really friendly and the place is really clean and bright. Had crispy wonton which didn't feel fresh and the salt and pepper chips weren't proper chips, but oven ones instead. The salt and pepper chicken and ribs were really good though. Would come back again but only because it's across the road from my place.

Great standard Chinese better quality than a take out. Nice clean place, pleasant staff and service, looking forward to use for take out in the future.
