A little on the pricey side but the food well worth it.

Will not order from here again usually takes a while for delivery but tonight it was an hr or so, food come freezing cold so no one wanted to eat it spent almost £40 and when I reported this to deliveroo I got £8 refund…not the first time this has happend and we do like the food but won’t bother again.

Ordered for delivery, took over an hour and 45minutes to arrive. Despite the app saying the food was out for delivery, when the shop was called they said the food was still being prepared and then hung up the phone. Poor customer service and the food was definitely not worth the long wait times.

Really good reputable Italian. Food is always fantastically flavoursome with generous portions. The Nutella calzone is absolutely exquisite and the staff always seem friendly enough

Take your order and then cancel it after having it for an hour without an apology or explanation. Disgusting service. Will never use again.

Great pizzas every time and delivered quickly!

I ordered a deliveroo and it took 1 hour 45 minutes (45minutes over schedule time) . I called 4 times from the expected time to be told it is on its way….not great customer service! They did not provide an upto date notification and I had no way to track the delivery! The food was ok, nothing special and to wait nearly 2 hours ruined the whole meal! Don’t order deliveroo it’s not worth it!!

Every time I order from here I get the pesto pasta and ask for it to be without mushrooms, and every time it comes exactly like that. I am probably around 10 minutes away from this place yet when I get it delivered it is always very hot and comes in plastic tubs (which probably helps it stay hot). There was a time when I had accidentally placed my order to my boyfriend's house instead of my own and rang them to see if it is possible to change the address. The young girl on the other end of the phone was very accommodating and assured us that she had changed the address and the order came to me with no issues. The drivers delivering the orders are also very friendly, I had one today and I asked if he had been waiting long, he assured me he hadn't and said he didn't want to knock too loudly incase others in my household were asleep. From what I have noticed, Italian express likes to hire friendly staff who are accommodating and care about their customers. I have ordered from Italian express countless times and I have not once had an issue, which is rare for takeaways in my area. I am again one happy customer who will continue returning!! I have also noticed it is quite a bit cheaper if you order on their app compared to delivery apps like uber so I will be ordering from there from now on :)

Very disappointed with the pizzas ordered. The Anatra (duck pizza) piled with masses of spring onions and cucumber, hoison sauce too strong. One pizza overcooked on top, the other undercooked underneath. Not acceptable quality, especially when paying a premium price. Standards seems to have dropped here.

Used to be really good but now the pizzas seem to be undercooked. Dough isn’t quite right & seems as though the pizzas are put through the oven just a little too quickly Expensive for what it is. Better off getting a Dominoes! This used to be the go to place for us but no longer sadly.

Great food however I can’t seem to understand why the delivery time is sooo long. We live in Eccles it should not take 2 hours to get to our address. It’s just disappointing when the food is great. Wouldn’t recommend due to delivery

We ordered a take out from Italian express. The order took an hour and a half too arrive, the food was actually pretty good and you get a good amount for each portion i has wedges with chicken and bacon along with spaghetti meatballs, my wife ordered carbonara. Now I'm not a massive fan of Italian food but I must admit it i quite enjoyed it. The price was a little steep but I find Italian restaurants tend to be pricey. My preferred choice is usually Indian meals. So if you enjoy Italian food and you have money to burn its a good choice.

The pizza was so thin that I have never seen any similar before in my life. It has little to do with any kind of pizza dough, the topping was placed on a plain tortilla sheet. I will never, ever order from here again.

Ordered from here last night. Very dissapointed. We usually order from tonys in walkden but had no cash on us. Meal came to over £60 and it was awful. Ive also had a bad stomach today. Dont know whats gone on here but i wont be ordering from again

I don’t think I have ever had an issue ordering from here. Food is always hot and delicious and pasta is packaged in a reusable plastic container. It is a pricey takeaway however you get what you pay for!! you can go elsewhere for half the price but i can guarantee it won’t be as hot or as enjoyable

I hate leaving bad reviews but this place doesn't seem as good as it used to be. Just paid £60 for 3 cold soggy pizzas and a portion of ribs.

Ordered from for years and years. Gone absolutely disgusting since new owners. Meatballs tasted like they was off in pretty certain they was.. Pizza hardly had any cheese on and even the chicken in the pasta was vile never again there lucky I didn’t drive there and slam it all on there counter for a refund 🤢

A few days ago, an order was made through Deliveroo to the Italian Express restaurant, the estimated delivery time was 45 minutes. I placed an order at 9:40 p.m., then it was written that there would be a delivery at 10:30 p.m., that time came, there was no delivery, I called the restaurant and could not get through. They close at 23:00. Contacted Dfeliveroo customer service, explained the situation, and asked for a refund. They said that the request was accepted. Then at 00:28 in my account it says that the order has been delivered, but this is very strange because it is not true. Strange things happen. The money was taken, but the food was not delivered. Such service is outrageous

Firstly I ordered an American with meat balls and fries, £18-40 told it would be 1 hr and yet 15 minutes later it turned up, possibly meant for someone else 8 thinly sliced pepperoni the size of a ten pence piece, fries that would make McDonald's seem Michelin stared, if i could give this minus 5 star review i would be over generous, still the magpies, pigeons and Crows seemed to eat them, whether or not they enjoyed them was hard to tell. 🤬

Ordered the spag bol it was tasteless and very little meat,just wish I had a dog

Live 10 minutes away.Ordered Bolognese & chips.Was told 15 minutes.Picked up my order,got the order home & it was cold.The chips were obviously kept warm under a heater & the Bolognese must have been microwaved.There only resolution was 'bring the chips back & we will re-heat them'. Absolute disgrace Do not order from here... £15 wasted.

Extremely fast delivery and great food as usual. We ordered online for delivery on a Tuesday evening. Estimated delivery said 1 hour 20 mins but it turned up in less than 20 mins and all food was hot. Excellent service.

Still sat here on a Tuesday now 3 hours nearly and still waiting lady lied on the phone 3 times about where it is absolute shambles won’t be ordering again.

Food is brilliant, however their delivery times really poor. We live a 4 min drive away, rang 20 minutes after latest approx delivery time for it to not even have left the shop. 2+ hours is a bit much, probs more expected if it was a weekend but not a Tuesday.

So we’ve never had a problem before with the food or service! However this evening we ordered food at 19:33 we were told an hour for delivery a call to the shop an hour and 15 mins later we were then told it’ll be 20mins as we’re really busy! Another call 30 mins later to ask if it was on its way and was told 5 mins!! Almost 2 hours for food from the first phone call wasn’t the best service we’ve had off Italian express! But will say the driver was fully apologetic! I’m sorry to post this as a negative review but there was obviously a lack of communication in the shop this evening.

Used to be really good, had a couple of bad experiences so haven’t ordered for a long time but thought we would give it another chance…….wish we hadn’t bothered, took 1hr 20min to arrive and once it did was all cold. Very poor & will never order again, don’t waste your time & money.

Bad experience. Ordered through Just eat app. Email confirmation received one and half hour wait. 15 minutes past delivery time Rang to see where our food was. I was informed Dough machine not working Asked if i will receive my order told don’t know again asked if i would receive the food i had paid £46 for and waited 2 hours for told don’t know. Terrible service will never order from here again was a regular customer not any more.

The food is getting worse and the prices higher. Things arrive cold and 16 pounds for a small pizza is just silly.

Really good pizza, always ready when you want collection, usually only 10 minutes which is excellent. Good choice of sides. Let down by their delivery times if you want delivery, always takes much longer than they say. Highly recommend collection and have never been disappointed when collected.

Got text saying food is with driver over 30mins ago. Cannot get through to restaurant as no one answers the phone, we only live 5 min drive away so even if this food does turn up will be cold & I can’t even complain to anyone as they are not answering. Eventually got through to be told the order hadn’t even been made yet the system had made an error, what a absolute joke. Asked for refund as not waiting 2 hrs for food, then got told they can’t I have to go back to just eat. Terrible terrible service

This has been a favourite take away for several years. Gave a poor review a few months ago. Gave it another try and was disappointed again. Almost 10 pounds for the meal, but only 5 prawns and honestly a meal that I could have made myself, sauce seemed "jarish". Will stay away from here for a while, again

I used to love these guys but their deliveries have gotten later & later & their food colder & colder. Don't know what's happened there as they used to be superb. Won't be ordering from them any more unfortunately.

Sort your opening hours out! Says open and shut! And then increase the toppings on the pizzas used to be so much better!

Although the pizzas are probably the best locally you do pay a premium. That being said the last few orders i have received have had to go back in the oven as they are luke warm at best.

Very hit and miss. We used to get takeaway pizzas from here every week, but lately the bases are getting thinner, the ingredients sloppier and tonight we had a feta salad with no salad dressing, a lukewarm meaty pizza and a sun-dried tomato pizza with barely any toppings. The staff are very hit and miss too - who needs attitude off some teen when picking their food up? Not anywhere near as good as it used to be - used to be you were paying for the higher price pizzas, now? Not so much.

When I first started ordering from here the pizza was spot on. Really good infact. Every time since its deteriorated. Not sure if it's new people in the kitchen but the pizza I've just received is shocking, no cheese on half of it, under cooked. Bobbins.

The best meat feast pizza EVER. And those chicken strips are not of this earth… that coating is AMAZING!! We will be back!!! Just moved to the area and what a boss find on our 2nd night in our new home! ☺️

I’d give a 3 star for food. Not always consistent. Delivery times aren’t always the best but after tonight I ordered food for our family. Was told 45 minutes 1 hour tops. I called after 1 hour to be told it would be a further 30 minutes. I offered to pick it up then was told it wasn’t made. Absolute joke. If not enough driver let your customers know before they order. Never trust them again.

Seriously wouldn’t even give this place one star! Had quite a few bad experiences (long wait; missed items; cold food etc.) but tonight was an absolute joke. Waited almost two hours and ended up phoning the restaurant. I was put on hold three times to be told it’s not our fault it’s the ‘system’. Yeah - it’s your system! I was offered an apology and a portion of brownies. Come on guys - that’s so bad (even for you). Not sure if you’re aware how badly you’ve deteriorated! Will definitely not be ordering again and I await my refund.

Wasn't a bad place. Got Pizza, which was just mmmmmm 😋. I got chips that need seasoning and a fudge cake, which was great but could be better. The lady at the checkout was nice The man who cooked it was a bit bossy Prices should be a little lower P.S. If you only want chips, you'd be better off going to a chippy, mate.

Ordered food via uber eats but food arrived 40 minutes late. Chips were under-cooked and pizzas were tasteless and dry. I would not recommend this place at all. It pretends to be a quality dining restaurant but the quality of the food is not good. I wouldnt mind waiting an extra 40minutes for my food if it was fresh and tasty when it arrived but sadly that was not the case.

Absolutely shocking! 2 hour delivery time so decided to collect. Upon getting the pizza’s home (5 minute journey) the pizza’s were freezing cold! Phoned up and they’re response was, we can’t deliver any more as you have collected so bring the cold pizzas back and we will replace them. Absolute farce. This place has gone majorly downhill. Wouldn’t use them for dog food!

teenage boy with an extremely large and ridiculous head of long and thick curly hair let his strands of hair in my chicken tenders and curly fires. This is completely unacceptable and this type of unmanageable hair should be in a hairnet.

Ordered from here last it was horrible my pasta dish was so bland full of oil tasteless and the Italian potatoes taste like a tin of tomatoes poured over it with plastic cheese that wasn't melted absolutely horrible went straight in the bin never again would I visit here

I love Italian food and was looking forward to eating the pasta we had ordered, and to be honest it was very bland and quite dry. I had to put some extra condiments in to make it tasty which I shouldn't have to do. The garlic mushrooms were in a really runny thin cream sauce and it was just not to my liking. The garlic bread was nice just expensive for the size. I Don think I'll be ordering here again as It just didn't hold up to my expectations for the price paid

ordered for years sent wrong pizza which was not edible in fact wouldn’t feed it my dog and extremely cocky attitude of a school age girl on the other end of the phone being not help. will never order off these again . TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

I ordered for the first time last night. The pizza was stuck to the cardboard box and was inedible!! I rang and spoke to the manager the next day and was told it wasn't their policy to refund but Thanked me for MY suggestion on alternative packaging. Needless to say I'll stick to Devardies from now on.

Me and my daughter just came across this place after a bike ride and noticed it was open. She was drawn to it as she absolutely loves pasta. We shared a spaghetti bolognese and it was delicious! When she finished she said ‘Well that was amazing!’ And wanted to go back in the shop and tell them but we were in a rush so I thought this the next best thing. Very much enjoyed it, will definitely be coming again.

Can't say I was impressed with your pizzas this evening. We ordered 3 to share and each pizza was dry and with very little filling on. We ordered the hosin duck and found it almost tasteless. Very minimal duck and struggled to taste the hosin sauce. Ive always heard good things about this place but it wasn't for us and consequently we were left very disappointed... sorry guys.

Having read some of the earlier reviews I can honestly say that things have greatly improved. I understand that it is now under new management and that the food quality, ingredients, service and staff are now of the highest quality. Great to see.

Placed a order of £40 Garlic bread came. It wasn’t cooked and soaked in sauce Ordered a pizza. Missing pepperoni !! Wouldn’t do anything about it Don’t order as can’t get a simple order right !!!!!!!

Having been a fan of this place for many years, the past 2 times I have used delivery and what a big mistake, terrible service, the starters were cold and tasteless, the great pizzas were also cold, the dough was half baked and felt like olive oil on dough with very little taste, the topping were all squashed in a corner where they had slid off and the meat was not the usual quality, there was very little difference between this and a frozen £1.99 cheap pizza. A £40 order was a complete waste of money, will not be ordering again

After reading some reviews I wasn’t sure what to expect from IE... We used it for the first time last night and living quite far out from them I was expecting the food to be quite cold. But it arrived piping hot. The Cajun pasta, pizza, meatballs and ribs were beautiful. It’s a little over priced (why 4 *) but the food is tasty abs I definitely recommend it. Will be ordering from them again!

i will say that the majority of the food on the menus is lovely and it is one of our favourite takeaways , however the carbonara is appalling . i don’t know why, but it is basically floating on a pool of oil to the point where you actually have to tip out the oil out of the dish but the flavour of the oil is still extremely apparent. the carbonara used to be my favourite dish from there but this has been the case the last 2/3 times i have ordered so it isn’t just a one off thing i don’t think

Had a take away , it came very quickly . The food was just vile , the risotto was inedible . The rice was hard and just covered in so much cheese. The garlic bread didn’t even taste like garlic bread and was so undercooked and doughy. The profiteroles are obviously frozen as they were all wet at the bottom. Il never order again

Shocking food. Pizza was cold and rock hard. Mozzarella sticks was awfull the cheese inside was hard. Also its really expensive place, far better places out ther, this not first time this happend. Gon down hill alot, wata shame

I’m a regular customer for pick up order most nights , ordered a delivery too my house instead they then told me it was a hour delivery wait 2hours later I ring them too see where my order is too be told it’s already been delivered. When no food was delivered then shouted at in a rude manor on the phone and howling abuse for at least 10mins before offering me a refund. What took 3days to go in my bank. I kindly explained too Him that it was my only money for dinner and my food hasn't came is there no way you could seen it again and he said no it’s my own fault. I explained to him that we spend money with them at least 4 nights a week and he laughed and said “so” Absolute terrible even the women who answered originally was rude. Defo will not be going there again. Found a massive hair on my last pizza but wasnt going to mention that because the food is usually is nice but he was so rude and abusive to my pregnant wife who was waiting for her dinner for 1hour50mins to be told she can’t have it.

Ordered two pasta dishes and garlic bread and cheese last night, we live in Leigh and the pasta come piping hot and on time. The meals where absolutely delicious, would defo order again. The delivery guy was also really nice

Food was a little late then when it did come the driver spent 5 to 10 minutes chatting to someone on the phone in her car and would of stayed longer if I had not come to the door to see what was going on. She saw me, jumped out of the car mumbled something and basically emptied my food into me arms and dashed back to her car. When we sat down to eat the food was just warm and the entire pizza tasted of fat!! so much so my daughter spat it out and we left 75% of it. Great eating experience for £25

A wrong order is not the end of the world in the grand scheme of things but when I phoned to explain the girl taking the call obviously needs some input on Customer Service. “If you come back we will change that for you”... is obviously a phrase she isn’t used to. The over the phone equivalent of a shrug and an “ah well” is. Ah well... they have just lost a customer.

Ordered a spaghetti carbonara and when it finally arrived the bacon was covered in fat it wasn’t cooked, the pasta was hard, there was no sauce then when I rang up to speak to a manger (who is about 18) with the most disrespectful attitude I’ve ever come across telling me “well the bacon comes to the restaurant pre cooked” ?! Asked for a refund of 8.90 and he was very sarcastic saying well we have had no complaints on the carbonara tonight! So we never got a refund just a very rude awful service off a young manager, WOULDNT RECOMMEND EATING HERE.

Not sure if they have been bought out by Pizza Hut on the sly but the sweet chilli pizza used to have flavour & the spicy beef had kick. Sorry guys but you are too dear & not as good as you used to be (& you take forever to deliver)!

Having previously had issues with this takeaway in regards the consistency of quality,which in fairness were resolved by the manager at the time......it has now reverted back to a similar sub standard.The produce is average in quality and the quantities have become less and less over recent weeks,while the base lacks consistency in terms of its firmness.The price,especially given the standard,has also recently sneaked up to a level which far exceeds the quality.I have attempted to contact the manager via email to discuss these issues,with no reply.My advice would be to find an alternative takeaway to avoid the disappointment i have experienced.

Ordered a feta salad and chips as part of my order. The chips weren't cooked and the lettuce was brown. Rang to complain and they brought replacement. Obviously same batch of lettuce as just as bad. Never again

Great service but the food wasn't great it was just ok.

First time customer Ordered online upon it being half our late rang them to be told they had been and there was no answer... I don’t know were they had been but it certainly wasn’t my house ! They Also tried charging 50% of order total when I asked for a refund the staff were snotty and rude during contact am sure the food might be nice but for that experience I won’t be trying them ever !

Just came our order was really looking forward to it food was cold very disappointing since we spent £22 my partner ordered penne amatriciana was suppose to be a hot dish on the menu, it was neither hot or nothing spicy wot so ever, mine tagliatelle pollo was very bland and again cold, very disappointing and will not be ordering again

Ordered 2 pizzas, turned up at roughly the time they said. But both were tepid at best. Disappointing as it cost £17.

The pizza's from here are amazing. Barely any grease and super thin, just like i want them. The pasta dishes are brilliant too (it's rare to find an actual Italian takeaway rather than just a pizza+kebab shop. The pasta is also very good.

Very dissapointing. We have ordered 3 times in the last few months. The first time the pizza orders were wrong; to their credit we got new pizzas free of charge. The pizza base tasted like cardboard every time but we tried again in the hope it waas a fluke, since Italian Express is usually so tasty. Twice we have received salad that is old, unwashed and clearly from a packet from any old supermarket. Tonight the food was late, again. The pizza was cold within 10 minutes and the base was the texture and taste of cardboard. The rissotto was crunchy because the rice was so undercooked. We didn't bother to call and complain since we didn't even want a replacement order.
