Clean the toilets I literally had to ask To use disabled loo as the other was soaking wet if I’d have dropped my trousers they’d have ended up in piss. Entered the disabled toilet to see it exact the same but at least this one had less loo roll on the floor and some left in the dispenser

We booked in for the "Tasting Menu", which we really hope will be a regular thing! The Chef, Jamie created a special "Death Row" menu to showcase his favourite food, and it did not disappoint. It was all absolutely fabulous! Everything made from scratch with meticulous care, from local ingredients. Sorry my photos do not do these courses justice, as I couldn't help but tuck in when the dish was placed in front of me. Each course would not have been out of place in a restaurant that might charged at least four times the price. So rally good value! Starting with the perfect Espresso Martini, frothy and flavoursome. Starting with cheese bread which was delicious and fresh, amazing marmite butter, and gorgeous creamy, frothy mushroom soup. The "raw beef" (Carpaccio) was melt in the mouth tender, with surprising, but perfect, accompaniments. The Cod Roe (taramasalata) was really lovely, Jamie had smoked the roe himself, and blended it just right to fill his homemade choux buns. The star of the meal for me, was the rib of beef, which was a very generous portion, and had been perfectly cooked with all sorts of tasty and smokey flavours, and soooo tender, served with Pomme Anna and Asparagus with hollandaise. The pudding, was likewise all made by Jamie, and just right! Banana ice cream shaped into a banana and covered in white chocolate, and really flavoursome chocolate ice cream, with peanut crunchy brittle sprinkles. Another of my favourite courses (difficult to choose...) was Jamie's crumpets with a very fancy cheese, his onion jam and grated truffle. Truly a perfect meal. I went with five other friends, and everyone, loved everything! Even the raw beef sceptic really enjoyed it!

After visiting nearby Gawthorpe Hall (National Trust), we decided to try this pub for a late lunch. We found it to be an excellent choice. The staff were really friendly and helpful from beginning to end. The place had a nice ambience - the music was just right and the interior decor was tastefully done and pleasing to the eye. There was a good choice on the menu - we had beef chilli and chicken curry - home cooking at its best. Drinks included an excellent JW Lees pint, half a Guinness and a Rosé wine. There's plenty of parking within the pub grounds. We would highly recommend and will definitely visit again.

The tills were misbehaving apparently. I sat at the drive thru pay window for some time with no update from the lady attempting to take my money from my debit card. 'its declined, pay by cash" is what I was told. I mentioned that there's no way it can be declined so tried again this time rather than presenting my card for contactless payment, I inserted the card, entered my PIN and saw the "accepted" message on the card machine. I got a harsh look from the till operator. I asked if all was good and got zero response. I waited for a few more minutes expecting a, "all gone thru, food will be with u shortly", but got nothing. I was about to knock on the closed window but was suddenly presented with a bag of food, no apologies for delay, just a harsh look. I drove off thinking "she must be having a bad day ". Got home - NO EFFING GRAVY - WHAT IS THE POINT OF KFC WITH NO GRAVY - COME ON GUYS !!!!
