Costa Coffee in Hyndburn

Not clean ,service is not good and tables are never clean,too much sat talking to each other and never enough stock on the place.

Nice place, love it on Sunday, nice and peaceful.. I work in retail and its a very busy place Monday to Friday, so i come here to chill and relax and it doesn't disappoint...

Place seemed dirty, tables not being cleaned. The person serving hand touched my lemon muffin

Went to meet my sister-in-law, it's a great place to meet family and friends.

Totally fed up with Accrington Costa closing much earlier than the advertised closing time , closed today at 14.45 rather than the 16.00 advertised time , some people go down to specifically meet friends there and have a coffee, after spending on a taxi to get there for it then to be closed over an hour early is terrible business in a already struggling climate

Was once again closed early, this happens almost once a week sometimes more, how can a business run like this especially in this climate, it's not fair to loyal customers who plan to meet up there just to arrive and it be closed over an hour before the actual closing time

Comfy and bright Costa, staff are professional and efficient and friendly. Food is ok if a bit expensive but overall pleasant.

Ordered a coconut milk cappuccino just now. She said "coconut milk latte" when she served it to me. I told her it was supposed to be a cappuccino. She said they're basically the same thing with an attitude and didn't offer to remake it. I wonder why they sell both cappuccinos and lattes if they're "basically the same thing"?

This time which's a review for last week the food and service weren't great as the employee kept spilling my drink whilst making it so the the glass of gingerbread latte was full of drink and cream slime I wasn't able to take photos because it was sooo dirty I mentioned it to the employee when he came around to sweep and clean the tables and he bluntly said we don't make drinks so you take photos of them we make them so you can drink them but he also apologised and said he would try and make my drinks photo worthy next time which I was grateful for the atmosphere was great as always the coffee shop was bustling 🥰

Great place, always friends helpfull staff, polite at all times ,can sit on your own and also feel at ease ,relaxed be lost without it great meeting place most people like to meet up here staff also work very hard to please and keep it clean place ,

It's always nice having a pit stop at Costa's however. On this occasion, someone had been to the one toilet in there and had an accident. I saw people who wanted to use the toilet walking over, opening the door. Retching and walking off. Could do wit a spare toilet

Called in for a cappuccino when it was raining,never been in before but will definitely go in again as the service was first class and the cappuccino was one of the best I have ever had.

Coffee was terrible, threw it away.

Only vegan food available to me was a packet of crisps. Disappointed.

They had a very nice atmosphere but didn't get a chance to try the food just went in to go to the bathroom

A bit pricy and busy but worth it for the size of the drink

Closed early , outside seats taken inside mis afternoon even though folk were sat outside, meant to be open until 5pm started cleaning and closing up at approx 3.30, only started happening recently, before was much better and closed at time advertised.

Went in on my lunch from College, small queue, but served promptly. I tried the Iced Mocha..delicious..it was busy but nice atmosphere, great customer service.

Extremely slow service. Looked to be very short staffed. I really felt sorry for the poor girl on the coffee machine orders continued to pile up with nobody attempting to help her. 15 minutes for a toasty and flat white

I appreciate they had busy day, Albeit for an known event but paying top price for frappicino in a coffee takeaway cup whilst dining in s a very poor show. Not very impressed.

Poor service, most of the menu options were unavailable. Place is very dirty and employees doesn’t clean the tables. Even the tray they used to deliver our order was in terrible state. At least the coffee is tasty.

What lovely helpful staff, even my 10 year old daughter was impressed by the friendliness

Went into Costa in Accrington town centre today for an iced coffee there were 3 young lads working all of them were friendly and efficient with one constantly sweeping cleaning and interacting with customers what a lovely clean atmosphere 👍

Absolutely appalling. Shocking service, drinks served in takeaway cups for eating in. Dirty cutlery. Hot chocolates were cold and remade piping hot. Marshmallows really unappealing all stuck together and squashed. Not impressed and wouldn’t recommend.

Today at 09.20am no brown toast, no white toast I went somewhere else when I came back 11.20am for a coffee they had no tea spoons, no napkins ?

The girl making the hot drinks was on her mobile then she dropped the coffee press on the floor and put it straight back on the tray without washing it.

Toilet floors just been moped and was left wet through and no wet floor signs outside disabled toilets as well could be bad accident

Probably the worst Costa I've ever been to and I've been to Costa cafés across 3 different continents. * long queues * staff charging for whatever they feel like without asking size/type of drink * staff chatting to other customers for 10 mins leaving 1 colleague behind till * cold toasties by the time the drink is made * NO GREETING!

I have just been to Accrington Costa and was really impressed with the level of customer service that was given even though was absolutely chocker each customer greeted with a smile and conversation well done to all staff that were working

Went in to buy an homeless man a coffee and they kindly gave him a free pastry.

Staff here are really friendly and helpful, not had a bad coffee yet!

It's a busy place for locals to meet. I like the milk alternatives, almond especially.

Too pricey for my liking. Plus the place has lost its custom in Burnley ever since EasyCoffee opened their doors to the public. It is THE place to buy any drink whilst in town, either with friends or alone.

Food poisoning in a cup. I went in today just as they were closing and ordered a mint choc chip cooler. The staff were more interested in talking to each other than doing their job. It was watery AND I had to remind them to put the chocolate chips in as they were going to serve it without. The icing on the cake was the whipped cream though. Not only was the one they were going to use not refrigerated, but it had been sitting in hot water. Not matter, they thought and proceeded to spray this bacteria haven on my drink. It was watery and clumpy. I had enough and left with them saying they could fix it. How? Scrapping that nasty cream off my drink!? DISGUSTING!!!! GROSS!!!! Will be reporting to Food Standards if I don't get an adequate response from them.

You guys need more staff members here and trained one specially. Untrained and under staffing will bring some bad reputation. Does not matter if its busy no one likes to have cold breakfast specially tea and toasts. Bad experience but will try again

What u expect from a Costa but dosent have the cheesecake

I visited the drive through on 5/12/20, it was extremely busy an the queue moved slowly. I ordered 2 festive drinks, 1 orange hot chocolate and 1 purple latte with soya. I received a regular hot chocolate (no orange) and a purple one with regular milk and CREAM. The girl at the window apologised and said she would sort it out. I waited, got my drinks and drove away. Well the orange hot chocolate fine but my purple soya latte was just a soya latte!!!! No ‘purple’ flavouring at all. Had it not been for the friendly staff member on the window they wouldn’t have the 2 rating they have. Lesson learned, I’ll stick to the burnley shop

I know people who work at this costa and have heard some unfortunate things customers have been saying to them during the pandemic. I can say from experience as a customer here that they are doing a great job helping their older customers with the track and trace online form by helping them to fill it in when they don’t have a mobile device to do it themselves. This for me is great customer service at work. I recommend visiting here even during the pandemic, but please abide by the rules in place and don’t try and make things difficult for the workers and you’ll be rewarded with a great service. Simply wear a mask and be mindful of the staff and other customers. Had a great Honeycomb Latte Macchiatto btw!

It's what you expect from a Costa shop. Service fine, but there was a grumpy corvid patrol staff member. It was quite funny watching her tell people off.

This well run Costa is a pleasant oasis within the town centre. The staff are friendly and the store spotless. If you are in Accrington head here

if you ever need cheering up - I can highly recommend eating carrot cake and one-shot small Americano - it's simply the best

Called in Accrington shop for a cola and a coffee, got asked if I would like to try a new special blend which made the coffee taste smoother and not so strong, I agreed, then was told it would be 25p extra. I had to add 7 sachets of sugar just to make it drinkable, it was so strong it was disgusting. With the extortionate price of the coffee I was determined to drink it, couldn't manage it. I will never visit this shop again, rip off!

The worst I’ve been to, i work in Accrington and been here couple of times, queues are long and the staff cant handle the queues and very slow at serving, the card machine hasn’t been working all week and i dont want to have to carry cash all time, flies on the cakes on display, disgusting. Says alot about Accrington!

Quite a busy cafe and most probably most used in the town. However queing so long for coffee annoys me then once at the counter it takes just as long for the coffee to reach you hand. nice friendly place food expensive

Sat outside to enjoy the sunshine felt quite cosmopolitan with the European voices around us. Service wasn't the fastest nor was the cleaning of the tables but your can't go wrong with a couple of lattes.

Awful management. Terrible food. Unclean, too. Cutlery was marked with dried food, no napkins, dirty floor and tables. Feel bad for the staff that have to serve the customers that tripe - must be embarrassing. Do not recommend.

Me and my husband gets a lunch deal each, £9.90 for 1 ham and cheese and 1 cheese and onion toastie 2 bag of crisps and 2 latte, the toasties were soggy wet on one side so went to the manager and explained so she said (go and get ONE sandwich out the fridge) I will make it again, so I said ONE but we got TWO sandwiches she said but you both have nearly eaten half so I said but ones got ham on it and will not eat it so went to tell my husband what was going on so when I walked back she just stood there with her hand out and looking pass me so I said I can I have a refund so after her winging about she come over and give us £2.75 back, absolutely terrible service in here they need some serious advice on how to run this place instead of running it into the ground. They need to learn some manners and how to treat customers with respect And has for the toilet it was dirty it even had a puddle of wee on the floor used tissues all over. Then you come out and get mouth full of smoke.

I like Costa.. and have visited many. This is on a par with most I have been in. The service is very good and the coffee itself is up to what I would expect from a Costa outlet. There were kids in there and as been pointed out, they do runaround and make noise - don;t blame the staff - they're not childminders and sometimes the parents could be more considerate. The place itself is right in the town centre - so calling at the local shops is easy. Decent enough place, I would use again. One slight observation - they could be a little quicker at cleaning the vacated tables - but that was not a serious issue. Well done staff - keep up the good work!
