Worst takeaway after going here for years. So much waste of dried up food coating so thick on chicken wings, hardly any chicken was so dry, burnt crab claws basically not fit to eat

Been to Lin Spot for years but after tonights takeaway dont think will be returning. Never had chicken wings so dry and the coating too thick. Chicken Satay over cooked, crab claws way too over cooked. Was only tea time so everything should gave been fresh.

Good takeaway but can get very busy. Food is good too. Can take long to get your orders but worth the wait. Just make sure you explain well what you do and don't want in your order.

This was a recommendation of a friend to try, the food is great service with a smile lot of choice of food.

Food was prepared quickly but felt it was over priced for what we received. Food was very hot but watery. Chicken and sauce had no flavour as sauce wasn’t thick enough. Upset stomachs this morning! Too expensive for what it was and completely bland

Every time I order from here it’s always amazing food but also fantastic customer service. The lady I dealt with over the phone was lovely, I forgot to order chips and when my delivery came she dropped the chips off for me even though it was my mistake - I would have given a tip if I had change, please let me know if there’s a way I can send a tip as I really appreciate the extra effort made this evening

Everything I had from here was delicious and I am not a huge Chinese cuisine fan.. lovely prawn toast with a really thick layer of prawn and a sumptuous veggie chow mein! Not overpriced either. Will eat from here again

Most definitely the best Chinese around. Never had a bad meal, always delicious and plentiful. Yes it’s a bit more expensive than some places but happy to pay extra for tasty, good quality food.

Since we moved to Ozzy this is the best Chinese. Food is always hot and tasty and home delivery service is amazing - we don't even need tell the address girl can see on the system.

rang my telephone order through on sat evening was told it`ll be ready in 10 mins which i thought was a little odd as usually its round an hours wait. .After picking up my order i noticed the scores on the door hygiene rating was missing thought nothing of it until curiosity got the better of me that evening and decided to google the latest scores and to my astonishment its been awarded a 1 star. Previously it was a 4. Felt sick to the stomach never going there again, Lin spot has just lost a regular customer and no doubt i wont be the last.

this place is sinking faster than the titanic. First theres been issues regarding the owners treatment towards her staff and now the hygiene rating has dropped from a good 4 to a dire 1. sorry lin spot you`ve lost another regular customer. canton it is from now on.

ordered food said 25 minutes went to pick up waited 10 minutes they said be another 45 .went come back so went again said another 10/15 minutes so cancelled terrible service

I was wary due to some of the customer comments but wife tried and was very pleased. I went and totally agree with her. We will deffo go again.

Used this place a few times and it has been ok, however, I have noticed the standards have been dropping over the last six months or so. I ordered the basics on Saturday night, egg fried rice, curry sauce etc which came to just under £18. Very disappointed with the overall standard of the food especially the chips which had been cremated. How anyone could actually put clearly burnt chips into a bag and expect anyone to eat them is beyond me. It was the final nail in the coffin for me and I won’t be going again!!

2.45 hours wait told was on it way When it did turn up wasn't willing to pay the full price as kids were in bed and meals would of been wasted. Order was took away due to lack of respect and thought for the customer.. Food is on point so i can't knock it for that just the lack of respect form staff on phone to poelpe delivering are food....

Ordered at 7pm for delivery - took order said it'd take an hour. At 9pm still hadn't arrived. Rang to get an ETA & was told it'd take at least another hour!! Very disappointed :( No Chinese takeaway takes 3 hours to cook & deliver.

We have visiting here for several years and it is consistently good. Proper Chinese food, beautifully cooked with generous portions. Never let us down ever. Clean as well. There may have been problems with waiting times during lockdown but what do people expect. I can't comment on delivery times because we always collect, but we've never had a long wait.

Tastiest Chinese I've had for ages. Quite busy on a Saturday but well worth the wait.

Had a few take aways and never had a bad meal, service was good and food flavorsome. Prices reasonable and potions average sizes

I've been coming here for years. It's one of the better takeaways in the Oswaldtwistle/Hyndburn area. The food is always nice and the service friendly.

Ordered food last night for collection at 7.30, I arrived at 7.30 and had to wait for half an hour in the shop before getting my food. All I got was sorry for your wait.... spent 40 quid there! when i got the food home it was really poor probably the worse Chinese I've had

Dropped it to 1 star as i thought i would give them another try.... Chips were old and greasy and all the Food was way to salty. Food standard has dropped over time which is sad as it used to be very good And prices keep going up but portion sizes are going down..

The food is good but we’ve been here twice and on both occasions gone to pick up and told it’s another half an hour wait +. The first time we were told half an hour to come and pick up, then when we got there to pick up we were told another half an hour wait (which wasn’t a problem as it’s our first time but not ideal to go back home). The second time we were told 25 minutes, when we got there it was another hour wait!!! There were lots of people waiting outside and clearly annoyed. If they told us it would be an hour + wait originally it would not have been an issue. But going to get the food and having to go back home to go back out is slightly annoying. This will be our last time here.

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!! We was told 1 and a half hours wait for our delivery, we ordered at 5.30pm called them up at 7.30pm to be told ‘can you come and pick it up’ then someone in the background someone said it’s going to be another hour , either we have to wait for an hour or cancel our order. No apologies nothing, absolutely disgusting service will never order from here again!! & if I could give them zero stars I would!

Ordered the girl on the phone said one hour! I called after an hour as no sign, they was waiting for a driver so another hour passed and the guy came... at this point I had fed my kids that I ordered for and put them to bed, then by the time I got downstairs from doing that I noticed they had forgot the pudding one of my children was going to eat (lucky I fed them as was taking too long) I rang about it because to be quite frank I had paid for it and the girl on the phone just made me out to be a complete lier!!! Then when I sat down the food was fab but the special fried rice I had ordered turned out to be chicken fried rice which to be honest just topped off my experience of never going again my order was £31 a kids meal wasted as came far too late and one order was wrong they had forgotten my prawn crackers too I couldn't be atsed ringing about it

Take note do not order of this take away they have no delivery service what so ever we waited for 2 hours still no food then I phoned them asking where the delivery was it had not even been cooked.horrendous service and they could not careless.

Just to say that this report is based on only one visit on the 26/08/2019. This may not be your experience and maybe on another day it could be different. Well after a lot of people had recommended the Lin Spot Cantonese we decided to try it. We ordered the salt and pepper squid. This was a good portion size and smelt nice but that was the end. The batter was very thick and not a lot of squid inside. The whole lot was very chewy and in our opinion had been over cooked. I ordered the fillet steak in OK sauce and again was pleasantly surprised that it was a very good portion but the pieces of steak were very chewy and again I feel it was over cooked. Her indoors had the house special in black bean sauce. This again was a good sized portion but the meat was veryl chewy and overcooked. She left hers half way through and could not eat anymore due to the lack of taste and the need to chew the food. I did expect better and we are more frustrated than upset as we could of gone to our usual.

Always get good food from here, the chicken chow mein is so good ! Food is always cooked fresh to order

The food was enjoyable however they mixed our order up and was very unhelpful when trying to fix the problem. When we ordered our food the girl on the other end was very rude and was the laughing so no wonder they got the order wrong. It’s not worth the hassle and would recommend somewhere else.

Not the fastest service but food cooked fresh and hot. Only downside are peas aren't mushy, they're tinned. A cardinal sin in my book 🙄

Orders a sweet & sour and some spring rolls was really nice. Owner is nice and Down to earth has kids working for her which looks a bit off putting but when you talk to them their grown up kids not childish kids like most in ossy. Cleanliness is spot on good portion control and great prices I will be ordering again very soon ✌️

Don't bother ordering food from here !! Ordered from here twice was told 30-45mins for delivery nearly two hours the first time and same the second. I rung to chase the order and spoke to the owner which was nothing but rude.

Always spot on! We've never had anything we didn't enjoy. Highly recommend the prawn toast (It is genuinely like no other), the crispy duck, spring rolls and Singapore Vermicelli.

We have used lin spot for about 6 months at least once a week sometimes twice and find the staff helpful and pleasant, food is very well cooked and generous portions, We tend to stick to chicken, mixed special or prawn dishes as the fillet, chrispy duck and pork not as good, Chicken screwers. King Prawn curry Crispy chicken in ok sauce brilliant Best in the area

Used here for a good while until today. They got telephone order wrong plus I was collecting and they thought it was a delivery. They had no delivery driver therefore when I arrived 15 min after call it wasn't ready. I waited 10 minutes. They nearly forgot something. Corrected that and I was relieved. Next problem they missed part of the order so I returned to collect it. Turns out they didn't charge me for it. I could wait again and pay the extra. What happened to customer loyalty and satisfaction?? Most of the food was poor quality to boot. Crossing this place off my list. May I recommend sea breeze on Moscow mill Street 5 star customer satisfaction

Ordered food at 6:30pm and it didn’t arrive until 8:30pm. 2 hours of waiting and when I called the second time to see what was going on I was told that it was nobody’s fault and the call taker put the phone down on me. Shocking customer service, if you are going to order beware that delivery times are terrible. Food was extra salted and disappointing and as you could imagaine it was cold.

Full Chinese menu and fish and chips menu. Always immaculate inside and you can see inside the kitchen from the counter, which is always immaculate as well, even when they are very busy. You can order by phone for pickup or delivery, or pop in and wait. The service is always very fast and friendly. They have a large selection of vegetarian dishes, which is very nice as they are the only take away on Union road that have decent veggie food.

I ordered last Sunday, I said what I wanted and asked if that contains any nuts or shellfish as I have allergies, the lady spoke to someone and came back to say it was ok. The order would be ready in 10mins, that should have been my warning sign. During eating the meal I had an allergic reaction and had to take an adrenaline shot. For this I would never return again or recommend it to people with allergies.

Previous order stated delivery (to Knuzden so 5 mins, if that, down the road) would be 40 minutes as they were busy... 2.5hrs later still no food and really bad attitude when phoned to cancel!! Then told us delay was our fault as we are in Blackburn going off our postcode?? Tonight, order completely wrong, phoned and they sent out the correct order but only if we gave back what was wrong, but seeing as it was in the bin couldn't do that! Bad attitude once again so lost 2 more customers and whomever else asks for a recommendation.

First time at Lin Spot. The girls where friendly & helpful. Food was ready really fast & very reasonabale too. We had Prawn Toast which were really lovely and big portion. S&P wings, nice but more the chilli salt than traditional salt & pepper. Duck & pancakes where really nice, duck was tasty & moist. Salt & p king prawns where tasty but again chilli salt, noodles. Salt & Pepper chips where soggy and wouldn’t recommend, we have had much better. On the whole fresh tasty food. Nothing spectacular just very average & wouldn’t rush back before trying to find better.

Good food but they apparently dont deliver to lower darwen on Saturday nights. Even though we have gone to them for 2 years!!! Bye lin spot you have lost 2 loyal customers and everyone i reccomend you to!!

If your order is wrong when you ring back she says I will send correct order and you can keep wrong order but when she came to the door the first thing she said was WERES MY FOOD? WERES MY FOOD? when I GAVE her it back even though she said to keep it. then she gave me my order so I guess someone else got my wrong order later that night
