The best restaurants serving Default food in Eden North West

Very friendly service and good coffee. The barista asked what my favourite animal was and put a bear on my coffee - how cute!

JOANNE was rude and blunt when talking to her at the desk. She didn’t tell me how much my food cost and didn’t tell me to pay until after, not good customer service would not recommend!

Lovely afternoon spent at Lovelady Shield Hotel for afternoon tea with my daughter. Gorgeous location and drive over from Hexham the tea was served in the front living room very private and cozy and the food was lovely and lots of it !! Had to box it up to take home , the staff were lovely and very attentive and have to mention how lovely and clean the ladies loo was !! Would recomend there was a vegetarian choice no problem and great value with unlimited tea and coffee for £18 per person.

If I could give this less than one I would… how can so called Italians get Pizza and pasta so wrong. Staff were friendly but I’ve genuinly had better frozen pizzas from Asda, it was undercooked but red hot.. almost like it was microwaved. The pasta wasnt fresh and had a strange metallic after taste.

I don't mind spending money on quality food but the extortionately priced food was far from good quality. We opted for highly over priced sandwiches, 2 slices of bread, tiny amount of chicken for £10.50 - ridiculous. The kids menu was fairly priced but the pizza was inedible. Over done and cheddar cheese used rather than mozzarella so it was more like cheese on burnt toast Won't be returning.

A meal priced at £18+ worse than a Wetherspoons. Clearly end of service bodge job with both meals. When I asked the member of staff dealing with the issue if either meal would have looked the same if served at 5pm instead of post 7pm she said no. Full refund for food. Charged for drinks. When I left the table to return the empty glasses to the bar, it was blocked by a staff member who was clearly annoyed at us when we laid up and returned the glasses on the other side of the bar. Too late to get a meal somewhere else. Such a shame. I’ve been eating there for over 8 years

Wonderful location. Fantastic views The staff were so lovely, we felt like VIPs - we were staying at the hotel and all the staff made our break that extra special. The food was exceptional - I had pea panna cotta which came with a crab and prawn mouse - I want the recipe - I would recommend this starter. Fillet steak cooked perfectly - again highly recommended If you want to treat someone you love - treat them to The Regency - they will bemade to feel special!!

Really friendly welcome - despite them being fully booked the waitress who served us went out of her way to make us feel welcome and fit us in. It’s beautiful inside - really cosy and comfortable and a nice atmosphere. Very friendly service and delicious food. Also to mention I thought the kids portions were very good. Steak / gammon / half roast chicken all fantastic. Views are stunning. Really lovely place - One of my favourite that we visited while on holiday from South Wales. Highly recommend a visit here.

My wife and I were staying in Ullswater for a short break and fancied a Chinese takeaway at the end of the day we’d planned. Not done this before but you could preorder on their website and choose a time to collect. A variety of rice, ribs and appetisers ordered online, pick up at 4:55 chosen with fingers crossed it would work. Must admit we were impressed, we thought it was a bit of a gimmick and we’d be waiting ages but our order was being finished and we were on our way home within 5 minutes. The food was piping hot and so tasty. The portions were so big we each had 2 complete meals out of it which made it very cost effective. Thank you very much, please the flavour and the portions just as they are.

Brill local pub, central and prices are very good. Recent welcome facelift. Will be back!

A very pleasant elderly lady manager asked if we had enjoyed our meal and then went out of her way to make amends for a prolem. Sometimes putting things right can be more important than always getting them right.
