The best restaurants serving Default food in Hendon Sunderland North East

Middlesbrough - We had waffles, pancakes and bubble tea. The food was lovely and the drinks were great too! The staff were very friendly and my daughter loved it there. I would recommend it as a nice treat!

Lovely afternoon meeting old friends & one special friend from Australia. This is a hidden gem but could be improved greatly and 'COULD BE A UNIQUE' place for Sunderland. Firstly they need to get the phone line working. Three of us had tried to get through to pre order food but phone line does not work. Two lovely happy girls on service but they were overworked and looked stressed, they need a pat on the back . Couple of jacket potato orders were missed from one order so it was an extra half hr wait. Then 2 sandwiches came out with wrong fillings then they ran out of bread so no more sandwiches could be ordered. Not the waiting staffs fault but they got the flack. Then we were told there was no white wine left. Such a shame as we loved the place but it needs these things addressing. would still recommend as we need some unusual attractions in our city. With a telephone system that works.

Food fresh and very reasonably priced.

Been coming here since it was the Swallow Inn when I lived round the corner. Now I live 30 minutes away in the car and still come here. Had Chinese food up and down the country and nothing has ever came close to replicating the food from Yummy Kitchen. Top food, family are all super friendly and prices are great. Worth the money every time and always have been. 10/10.

Ordered the Sunday special and a kids meal the kids meal didn’t turn up so I rang and they said they would send it out an hour later they sent out a plain curry not the kids meal rang back and was told it was to late to be sorted as they were behind on orders ect

Standard happy hour fare. The specials look really nice too.

rude and sarcastic service from a staff member called 'Baz', completely lacking in customer service skills, overall attitude of him wanting to be anywhere else

The food was so delicious and had its unique flavour. I would love to go there again and recommend for everyone to go eat there with your family.

Cannot believe it £3-70 for small hot choc. Minus cream, sprinkles etc 😮

Orderd mixed tandori grill tonight from rowshuni sunderland. Not fresh as advertised. Pre-cooked and then warmed with onions and sauce. Nothing tandori about it. Meat was like rubber. Poor quality , un edible. Avoid

I am so glad I stumbled upon this place as it is right up there with the best restaurants I have even been to, and I have found my new go-to place for a delicious Italian meal. I wasn't expecting much, however I was wowed by the quality of the food. So many places "do" Italian, but they do it poorly. This place does it perfectly! What sets it apart from the likes of Pizza Express and Ask is the authenticity of the place and quality of the ingredients. The tomatoes have a "tomatoiness" and intensity of flavour to them, the olive oil is spot-on, the pesto is to die for, and the mushroom pizzas cooked to perfection. I would like to thank the waitress for the kindness and thoughtfulness in recognising that I don't like noisy environments, and she placed me in a table slightly round the corner. After I'd downed a glass of Pinot Grigio I really relaxed and actually enjoyed the atmosphere. As someone on the autism spectrum, I would never have thought I would be able to go into a crowded restaurant on a football matchday / Friday night and enjoy it, but seemingly I can! Anyway if you're in central Sunderland and looking for a decent Italian meal that's a cut above the rest, you really cannot go wrong with Angelo's. I found it to be quite miraculous!
