Nazrul's Sonargow in Sunderland

Ordered the Sunday special and a kids meal the kids meal didn’t turn up so I rang and they said they would send it out an hour later they sent out a plain curry not the kids meal rang back and was told it was to late to be sorted as they were behind on orders ect

The food was lovely, except for a poppadom being broken up and put into a small bag. However, from ordering to the food arriving took almost 3 hours. Staff in restaurant kept on saying it was leaving now even though it clearly wasn’t. Definitely wouldn’t order again due to how long it took.

Ordered the madras wrap on Sunday night and left notes as usual to make it vindaloo hot. Food turned up late, cold and they didn’t follow my request and sent me a mild madras wrap with very little sauce - major dissatisfaction. Ordered this on Saturday night and they got it spot-on, really hot, lots of sauce and very tasty. Must be a different chef on a Saturday, and the Sunday chef can’t be bothered to read the customer instructions! Sonagrow you need to improve this it’s poor customer service

tikka chips and cheese absolutely beautiful 11/10, all in one madras and chips and rice absolutely lovely madras just perfect, tikka cheese nann the best nann breads from any Indian take away and the garlic cheese the same, been ordering from sonorgow for over 10 years never ever had a bad meal!

Delivery was on time and hot. Nice curry’s. But the poppadoms look like someone had been sitting on them not the worst thing to have but still how hard is it to keep them flat.

left a request in the order notes but it wasn't read. asked for my meal to be cooked mild/medium yet it came hot. can't eat it so money wasted

Quantity but not so much quality. Flavour was lacking, particularly the korma. Everything in the nan box was red, including the chips. Couldn’t differentiate what was in it. Tasted ok but nothing more, sadly. Underwhelming.

Absolutely Awful! Nowhere near the amazing quality we normally get. Literally caked in thick grease, Madras Sauce had no Spice at all. Ended up binning the lot. Arrived on time and piping hot as always. Come on guys this isn't your usual standards ☹

Raita came in 2 Rice sized cartons, warm with a milk like flavour with cheese looking lumps, rather than the yoghurt dip we are familiar with. This tastes awful. Assuming this was a mistake but no idea what it was I actually received. All other items were great as always

Food was nice, but the delivery drivers attitude was disgusting so unfortunately we won't be back. He nearly put the window through by knocking, practically threw the food at us and then slammed the gate when leaving. If he doesn't like delivering the food, employ someone else to do it. Simple.

My first time ordering and it won't be my last. Everything arrived piping hot. I ordered the chef special kebab starter which was was fresh and tasty, as was the rest of food including the tikka pilau rice, packed with meat. mixed Sri Lanka curry was rich and spicy, keema paratha was well cooked with plenty of meat inside. I would 100% recommend 👌

We ordered tandoori chicken and cocktail. There was plenty of meat but tandoori marinate was excessively salty and we couldn't eat it. It's a shame.

Wow what a curry, I cannot honestly sum up how amazing the whole meal was without swearing! Food was unbelievable, while waiting to collect could see out the back and the kitchen was immaculate.

Perfection. A wee bit late tonight though (30mins) but still piping hot so no biggie.

Perfection. Although stopped ordering the onion bajis, they aren’t drained from the fryer for long enough and come in a puddle of grease.

wouldn't order from app again. I was expecting chicken tikka masala, something completely vile turned up looking like it belonged in a baby's nappy. all went in the bin. I'll stick with who/what I know from now on. disgusting

This is the second order I’ve had from them, first one to be delivered, it was delivered really quickly and was still nice and hot enough to burn my tongue a little for my first few bites. Literally all the food I’ve had from here has been great! In particular they have one of the best tarka dhals I’ve ever had (and I find it hard to beat my mams!) and really great naan bread that’s still soft the next day. Highly recommend this place!!!!

Don’t like leaving negative feedback but tonight I felt compelled too. Ordered garlic mushroom starter, it had 4 chopped pieces of mushroom and the rest was 99% onion, may aswell of been called garlic onion - it was disgusting! Also ordered mushroom pilau but instead got some onion, potato pilau. I have to presume they ran out of mushrooms tonight as these were disappointing. The madras was good as usual

The food is always superb from here. I always find that if you order Madras / Vindaloo or my favourite Phall from curry places, they’re always a heat strength below. Not from here. I’m not religious but I was praying this morning after the Phall. Superb as always!

I used to get my food from here really regular. But the food just seems mediocre of late. Not sure if they have changed the chefs or what or banging out lots of orders and letting standards slip. Such a shame it used to be my fave place to go for a take out.

Saddened to say that the onion bhaji's in both our starters were overdone. They literally crumbled when attempted to eat them. Also, delivery driver didnt read notes regarding delivery instructions. Apart from that, curry was very nice, both of them. Will give them the benefit of the doubt here. We all have off days

Been a while but the quality is still great. Madras was hotter than expected and I am fine with that.

Food is always beautiful from this place but today it was absolutely perfect ordered 2x burgers the large cheeseburger and chips and the spicy tikka burger ordered some vinadloo sauce and a cheese tikka nann everything was absolutely amazing 5* for the chips and the nann bread blew me away how good they were!

Spicy Naanbab. Lots of food, but quality of the donner meat was lacking. Thick cuts, but overly salty and the flavour was just vinegar spicy. Small pieces of chicken tikka which was dry. Naan bread was flexible and of a good size. For about the same money, many other places have Naanbab's which are flavourful and of better quality. Don't think I'll be ordering this dish from here again.

Been trying a few local Indians these past few weeks and they were all awful. So I went back to who I used a few years ago. Nazruls Sonargow did fantastic Indian takeaway and I am very pleased to say things haven't changed. 5 Stars!!!

In a word, fantastic. Loads of chicken and very tasty with lots of spice just how I like it. The meal was piping hot and delivered sooner than I expected. 5 Stars

I ordered onion bhajis which were missing from the delivery butaside from my extreme disappointment over their omission the rest of the food was delicious!

We tried here for the nan bab and it was awful the kebab thickness was ridiculous was no onions or peppers and also minimum tikka meat was all bland tasting dog ended up with it
