Not sure what it was but not theThai food we're used to and expensive ! We tried to eat a little but it was dreadful - and we paid a lot more than we usually do for a takeaway, will be going elsewhere for Thai food in the future, wish we had taken photos

This restaurant is always lovely and they go above and beyond. Our address was down wrong as Just Eat omitted a section of it so the driver struggled to find us. After some struggles we managed to get in touch and they sorted it out straight away. The food was worth the wait as always. Thank you!

Arrived very quick and was still hot when I opened the bag. Delivery driver was nice too, very friendly. My first time ordering from here, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was amazed by the quality and taste of the food. The prawns were super fresh, and I loved the sweet plum dipping sauce that came with them. There was even a free bag of mixed prawn crackers included, which was nice. Overall, it was a great first experience, and I will definitely be ordering again in the future!

We ordered from here via just eat while staying at the nearby The Hilton Garden inn. We had golden parcels to share chicken pad Thai and drunken noodles with chicken. The food arrived promptly delivered by a lovely young lady. Sorry I didn’t ask your name, but you did ask mine prior to handing over the food. The Golden Parcels were hot and beautifully cooked, The pad Thai was a huge portion and contained at last a dozen pieces of chicken. My husband says it was perfectly spiced, and not over hot ( hot spice wise) all food was delivered extremely hot (as in the food wasn’t cold) the drunken chicken was also a massive portion with lots of pieces of chicken. This food was quite hot (spice wise) but absolutely perfect, beautifully flavoured with garlic, chillis, and and their special spices. Highly recommend, be warned if you are not a big eater and don’t like large portions I would suggest getting one main between two and a couple of starters to share. Absolutely delicious, highly recommend.

Best takeaway in Sunderland and probably the best Thai takeaway in the country, there's a reason you often need to pre order. Reliable and consistent service. The duck & panang curries are amazing, as is the belly pork.

Absolutely delicious food. Delivery was early which was great and food was piping hot, portions are really good size however definitely on the pricey side. The honey chilli chicken is amazing, chips are delicious and home made, massaman was really tasty however for the price i expected chunks of meat rather than slices and the slices were slightly dry, i think chunks would be a lot more moist. Overall very good takeaway and will definitely be ordering again for a one off treat.

Food quality was fantastic as always, however I've had to request a refund for the main as the containers were damaged, and the bag and other containers were soaked in sauce, I had to bin some of the pad thai noodles. Excellent food, but I suspect the food was dropped and badly handled during delivery.

Superb almost every single time. I've never had a bad meal from here. The food is always fresh, so is worth every penny. There was one night the potatoes were a bit off, but that was because the supply was different. The staff are friendly, the food amazing, and the delivery is always professional. If only one takeaway had to survive the economic crisis, it definitely should be Ying's. Thanks guys for excellence again and again :)

Last weekend was the first time we've used this place and chose it based on other reviews. All our tastes vary so I'll be as objective as possible. My wife doesn't like spicy food so opted for vegetable spring rolls followed by stir fry satay mixed seafood egg fried rice both of which she enjoyed very much. I went for spiced belly pork to start which was good and followed that with mixed seafood special with coconut rice and found it disappointing. It was not spicy at all and the sauce it was in far too watery.

I never leave reviews because I think take aways are always bang average, but this was absolutely beautiful, burning hot when it got here, big portions (couldn’t finish it and have some for work tomorrow) the midweek special is such good value for money! Could easily be shared between 2. I got chicken massaman and it’s the nicest one I’ve had genuinley!!! And if you do nowt else, order thing spring rolls, they’re something else 😍

Haven’t ordered from here for about 14months as I thought it had closed haha but I’m so pleased we found it available again on just eat! It’s absolutely gorgeous food and totally satisfied my pregnancy cravings for vegetable tempura 👌 there’s so much left overs I can’t wait for my lunch tomorrow and this is the only place I can get chicken pad see eaw a highly recommended dish delicious 😋 even if the cabbage was missing today.

There was nothing actually available after 2 in our group had chosen their meals - even special fried rice wasn’t available no curry sauce - so had to order 6 additional meals from another place - despite ordering this one first it was much later arriving and is expensive

Don’t normally order Thai but I’m glad I did, red Thai and massaman curries were lovely.

Crispy chicken was not crispy it was soft some of the pieces were tough and the sauce just looked like a bowl of grease with bits in.For the price of these meals i expected better quality. I wouldn't order again!!

First time ordering and was impressed. Prawn crackers are to die for! Hand cut chips gorgeous, duck very generous portion. Mixed starters were very generous, although a little too greasy for me. We’ll order again.

King prawn Pad Thai was inedible, dry, crusty and obviously reheated. The tofu green curry was horrid, the tofu was so dry. Absolutely waste of £23.

Best food I’ve had in a long time

Read about this place on social media and thought I'd give it a try as it seemed to have good reviews and I thoroughly enjoy Thai food. I telephoned my order for collection and found the service to be fine with my food being ready on time. Unfortunately, my positive experiences of Ying's ends there. Both my wife and myself found the food to be overly priced, greasy and fairly tasteless while completely lacking the delicate aromas and flavours of genuine Thai cuisine. Sadly, I can only assume the word Thai is used in their name as perhaps the chef wears a tie whilst cooking. By all means give it a try, you never know. Hopefully, your experience might be better than mine... I doubt it could be much worse.

I have honestly never tasted anything like that before, it was absolutely beautiful! The belly pork was delicious and melted in my mouth. The springs rolls, chips and rice were perfect and the sauce was full of flavour. Delivery driver was friendly and on time. 10 out of 10, we will definitely be back! Highly recommend.

Duck pad thai was vile, stunk out the entire flat, left a bad aftertaste in my mouth for hours. Duck was dry and overcooked. Not sure where this places gets such good reviews from but if definitely isn't their pad thai. Worst I've ever had.

Finally! After years of searching...we have found a really really good Thai takeaway! Great quality meat, everything was really tasty and well made. Will 100% order again and recommend to everyone! Lush!

Ordered from them a few weeks back. It took 2hours 30minutes to get my order, was still warm though, and the food was good. I don’t understand booking for “wok” time, I’ve never ordered from a take away restaurant that you can’t pick up in about 20/30 minutes but at yings I’ve been quoted 2/3 hours for collection and that’s if I can order at all. There seems to be some poor management with cooking, or not enough staff. My wife is from Thailand and we really enjoy Thai food, if Yings could sort out there delivery/collection/wok time, we would order every week. I understand everything is cooked fresh, but I’ve lived in Thailand and Thai food can be cooked up quite quickly. This review ment to try and help Yings gain more customers by reading my review and making changes, but who knows if that will happen?

I ordered the seafood special and it way smaller than i expected considering the fact it was in a tiny container and i paid £11 for it.

Absolutely unreal food AGAIN. Flavours are incredible. Service is great although you do need to book early for a time slot (just shows you how good it is) it's definitely worth it! I will be returning time and time again.

Food was just warm. Duck was really salty, the sauce on the ribs was awful, didn't taste like honey ribs. Didn't smell nice either. Overpriced and not nice. I'll be sticking to Thai Bay far nicer and better value.

We had a delivery tonight. 60-70% of the duck was skin, fat and hard meat. I eat duck all the time and it was the worst I’ve ever tasted. We rang the shop and was told by a manager who wouldn’t listen and kept talking over us that it is bought in pre-cooked and was told duck is a fatty meat. I’ve bought better duck in a supermarket. The mixed meat cashew meal had three half cashews in. The only decent dish was the Tom yum soup which was delicious. This is advertised as restaurant quality in a takeaway. Restaurant quality it is not.
