The best restaurants serving Default food in Redcar and Cleveland North East

Food was poor. Batter on chicken balls was aweful and sweet and sour sauce tasted like it was from a jar from a supermarket. Delivery was fast.

I've been using this shop for a year now and really enjoyed the food. Sadly, I've noticed the portions are getting smaller. I had xl fish and chips on Friday and the fish was not xl and there was a handful of chips. The peas were also well watered down. I know times are hard but its the one meal I look forward to every week. Very disappointed but I will give it one more chance next Friday.

Absolutely unreal service orderd parmo at 1030 was at the door 1050 piping hot and massive portions betchemel sauce was perfect and parmo was nectar chips wer nice and crispy no grease garlic sauce was thick and creamy..best av had in a long long time .. cheers

Overall disappointing experience, me and my partner were really excited to try this place having seen it on instagram. We got there and were sat down within a few minutes, were never told you had to order from the counter so waited for 15mins with no one letting us know. Eventually went up to the bar and paid £40 for two drinks and some pancakes. We then waited 20 mins for drinks and 40 for the pancakes. We ordered a drink and were given the wrong one. In the mean time we witnessed multiple other tables getting the wrong food/drink or not getting anything at all. All the staff were very young and didn’t seem to know the basics of customer service. Just an overall poor experience for something we were excited about! Everything tasted nice but not with the money or atmosphere :(

Just lost a regular customer tonight we have ordered every other week at this place but after being accused of being a liar tonight they can stick it. We ordered three soups two were half full, prawn toast quarter of a slice of bread size, and no prawns crackers. The assistant that took the call back was friendly enough and accepted they would replace the food as well as an extra portion of noodles which we would of paid for. Five minutes after we received an angry call from I presume was the owner speaking to my wife like s**t and then I took the call he accused me of taking the Mick and saying the soups were full! Shocking customer service you really think I would lie over a £4 soup and £1.40 single piece of prawn toast! After orders of £25-40 a time for the last year! I brought the food back to prove that I didn't want a freebie soup/prawn toast absolutely pathetic!

Smashing Weatherspoons pub situated on the High Street of Guisborough. My wife and I were in the area so popped in for refreshments and really enjoyed the experience. The place is vast with a large outside seating area. The food and drink choices are comprehensive and are great value for money. The staff are efficient and friendly. All in all a great visit.

Ordered the Chicken Satay and it was basically seasoned water with 3 whole peppers in it and 5 pieces of fatty chicken, the egg fried rice was dry and had no flavor and the chips were burnt... 😬
