The best restaurants serving Default food in Redcar and Cleveland North East

The delivery was just under an hour late. I was forced to give a tip as the delivery driver claimed she had no float. I had already been charged for delivery and a service charge. Something to be aware of if you’re paying cash.

Good food & friendly atmosphere. Pleasant staff, special thanks to Steve for rescuing our helium balloon from the ceiling 👍 3 yr old Granddaughter was very relieved. Thanks for a lovely evening.

3 bites in and it hit me. EGG AND CHEESE. I received an egg and cheese sandwich instead bacon and sausage!!! Baby’s crying, thanks a lot Rachel, thanks a lot.

What a place. We were greeted warmly at the bar and taken to our table. The dining room was simple with lots of rustic charm, and the menu had enough choice for both of us. The garlic cream mushrooms were extremely good and it was just the right amount for me. My wife had the gammon steak with egg and chips, and she said the chips were the best she had ever had. I had the Veggie parmesan which was more than enough and the salad was beautiful and the dressing was lovely. We were offered dessert but had to say no as we were so full from dinner! However the desserts are all homemade and looked lovely. What really struck us about this place was how nice the staff were, nothing was too much trouble. We would highly recommend the Water Wheel, and will definitely be back!

Its good but sometimes when i say PLAIN burger they give me ketchup on THAT burger (or tartar sauce on filet-o-fish) so, just use the app. Its better.

This subway restaurant was extremely dirty. The tables were not wiped down and the floor was littered with debris. It's clear that cleanliness and hygiene are not a priority at this location, which is incredibly concerning for any place that serves food. It's also advertised on the Subway app that this location accepts the Subway rewards card - this couldn't be further from the truth, as it is always down. Would not recommend anyone to visit.

Place is a mess, food all over the floor

We only visited for the walled garden but had to queue up at the cafe counter to buy our entry tickets. We visited at 11am so not exactly ‘lunchtime rush hour’ but it still took 20+ minutes of queuing. Once we got into the garden we realised it was not worth it- you can see most of it from the outside seating area of the cafe. At least the car park was free(!).

Just order two mix kerbabs for me and the wife we only got Donna and chicken on it we ordered two weeks ago and I have all ways ordered a mix kerbab and got chicken Donna and lamb not tonight they don't do it no more well I think the price should be different if no lamb well sorry guys you have lost my custom from now on I am not happy with the way you said we change the menu but the price is still the same with out the lamb

I order table service a bit slow but food arrived hot & taste good. Maybe add start & finish times for breakfast 🤔 😄

So just got 2 wraps from your shop, so disappointed. When you ask for tandoor chicken you expect it to be red but this chicken was literally normal chicken, asked for it spice had half of one and didn't even feel a tingle. You said it comes with garlic sauce and that sauce did not taste like it all. Cant even eat the rest of one of them, really just wanted some red chicken

Everytime I order from this place my food is late. Its unacceptable. Especially when I order my food at 7 and only get it after 9 at night. Ridiculous.

I mean, atleast its better then well pheasant fields lane, but its just STOOPID for that drive time, if it was like near greggs i would give this 4/5 but it.. just 3 stars

Ordered a takeaway, we have been waiting over 2 hours. Phoned to check an hour in and it looked like they have no idea we had put in an order. But said it was on the way, it will be 10 mins. An hour later, still no sign of our food, phoned again. We phoned to cancel our order 2 and a half hours later and within 5 mins the driver called to try and find the house. By this point we went out to get some food from elsewhere! Be careful ordering takeaway from here as you maybe in for a long wait! Terrible service when you phone up, rude, and I had the phone put down on me.

Bought tea tonight for here thought we would try this place again we were told it was under new management what a waste of £20 all went in the bin rubber chicken under cooked pizza avoid at all costs
