Overall disappointing experience, me and my partner were really excited to try this place having seen it on instagram. We got there and were sat down within a few minutes, were never told you had to order from the counter so waited for 15mins with no one letting us know. Eventually went up to the bar and paid £40 for two drinks and some pancakes. We then waited 20 mins for drinks and 40 for the pancakes. We ordered a drink and were given the wrong one. In the mean time we witnessed multiple other tables getting the wrong food/drink or not getting anything at all. All the staff were very young and didn’t seem to know the basics of customer service. Just an overall poor experience for something we were excited about! Everything tasted nice but not with the money or atmosphere :(

I have been going here for a while, back to when they were solely maple and dough even. I can’t help but feel it’s gone massively downhill. There’s been a few times where my orders been wrong, chosen to ignore it the first odd time as they’re so busy and I work in coffee so know the struggles. But when it’s happening constantly it’s difficult to ignore. The quality is also just not the same as it used to be- the prices have gone up and the portions and tastiness have went down. The waiters are no where near as nice as they were in the earlier days and you just feel like a massive inconvenience to them. It’s a shame as i love supporting small plant based businesses but i am kinda put off coming back now :(

Sister went here today, very happy to finally see a store offering gluten free alternatives. Travelled 30 mins to get there, told one staff member she had coeliacs (allergy to gluten) and thats why she came. Extraordinarily the staff member had no idea what that was. Went to get the manager who then informed her that everything is cross contaminated. Would not recommend this as a gluten free cafe, basically the same thing as going to literally any other cafe.

Visited for brunch as needed a dog friendly place. Obviously noted the prices before ordering however thought the portions might be generous. Not so. We both had toppings on sourdough toast which were tasty enough but one very small piece of sourdough for £9? About four or five mouthfuls at best. Coffee also too expensive at £5 for a cappuccino. Personally have paid far less for much more in central London. Will not be returning.

We’ve been once before and the food was decent and service was friendly enough. But we went yesterday and were so disappointed. The place just doesn’t feel clean at all. The highchairs are filthy and the glass cabinet where the cookies are is full of old sprinkles in the crevices of the cabinet. The tap water glasses were dirty. The staff weren’t unpleasant but weren’t exactly helpful either. But we waited an age for our food (however reading other reviews we were actually lucky it wasn’t over an hour!) we got soup, which was £9 and was half a bowl with a rock hard piece of sourdough. £9 for soup just feels like daylight robbery to be honest, especially as it was just “ok”. The pancakes were rubbery/tough and I was charged to swap from blueberries to mango. While we were waiting for our food, a member of staff carried 3 big full bin bags through the cafe - which really just didn’t feel right from a cleanliness point of view. I never mind paying high prices for food as long as it is top notch, but this was just ridiculous, I don’t think I’ve ever seen soup so expensive 🙈 I really wanted to like it but I just don’t understand the hype. I see the owner whinging on social media about people buying drinks from a chain or not supporting local etc, but for people to return you have to provide good service and a good product and I’m afraid we were provided with neither.

Went here for late breakfast/early lunch with my sister. Waited 45 mins for two coffees to arrive and 1 hour and 10 mins for the food to arrive! Too long to wait for a couple of pancakes. Felt like a lot of people were waiting for their food to show up, a family sat next to us had to leave due to simply taking too long and had other places to be. The staff were all polite and friendly, however a slow service does not make me want to go back anytime soon. Had to ask 3 times for the table to be cleaned, ended up getting a cloth and cleaning it myself. For the price of the food/drink I expected better and more efficient service.

We waited in a queue to get into the restaurant. As we ordered, our drinks took 30 mins to arrive and our food was an extra hour on top of that first half hour. The food was lovely however there was no staff around to check if we were okay and to check on our food. It was also freezing which cannot be helped as there is a lack of seating. The member of staff that served us our food was slightly rude and careless towards our needs. This was a shock to us as on our previous visits the staff have been very lovely and attentive. This is not the first time I have had an experience that was not up to my expectations- for the prices that are charged you would expect better customer service.

I decided to try this place with my husband and daughter as I’d heard a lot about it. Unfortunately I was very disappointed. It has limited seating, and because it’s such a small area people queuing were stood around us where we were sat. A lot of people brought their dog in with them which led to a few stand offs with other dogs. 🫢 We ordered the caramel and banana pancakes, two bottles of coke and an iced coffee. As the pancakes cost £12.50 we were expecting them to be worth the cost and high quality, but they were definitely not! They took ages to be served and didn’t resemble the picture on the menu. They were barely warm with very thin runny syrup and tasted cheap and stodgy. The best thing about them was the bit of fresh sliced banana on the top. ☹️ We were also still waiting for the iced coffee which took a ridiculously long time to arrive. It seemed to attract a lot of teenagers and twenty somethings for some reason, but we will not be returning as we could not see the appeal. 😒

Visited the Sunday coffee shop in Norton, ordered overpriced drinks and fruit bowls, waited 1 hour, hadn’t even received our drinks. Asked where they were, then they clearly remembered about our table and we got our drinks, waited another 50 minutes for the fruit bowls to arrive. Was there in total 2 hours and 30 minutes, plenty of staff, just not managed. Service is beyond acceptable. Will not be returning. Our breakfast ended up our lunch!

We went to this place when it first opened and it was much better. This time we got dirty cutlery, the pancakes were dry with very limited toppings (not like the Instagram) and service was very slow. Nice decor inside. But wouldn’t be returning anytime soon.

Whilst the pancakes were tasty and the matcha latte was good, it took almost 50 minutes from ordering which was simply too long and frustrating.

We visited as a family whilst visiting Guisborough. I was impressed by the instagram which looked very aesthetically pleasing and always try to support independant businesses where possible. Amongst the three of us, we ordered the oats, pancakes and acai bowl. The porridge was tasty. The pancakes were nicely presented but a bit dry in the middle, they could do with sauce between the layers of pancakes. We were disappointed with the rather small acai bowl, it looked far bigger on Instagram, seemed a bit overpriced for the size and left the person who ordered still feeling hungry. The decor was nice, as were the staff and they were very accommodating. You have to place your order at the till which meant at one point our table had one queue behind us that were waiting to be seated and another queue that wrapped around the other side of our table to pay at the till. We felt a bit enclosed in and watched. I think taking orders at the table would solve this.

We Ordered pancakes, porridge and cashew cream toast. It all came separately for some reason. The savoury toast came last, nearly 10 minutes after the pancakes and 5 mins after the porridge. The Pancakes came barely Luke warm by which time I had to eat them before the toast so they weren’t totally cold. They were a little dry but came with a chocolate sauce for my daughter. The sauce though advertised as milk chocolate tasted very nut like with a salty after taste which had she had a nut allergy I’m not sure would have gone down well. Next the Porridge, it was also pretty dry with a mixture of hot cream and frozen inside which tasted to me a little confusing. Lots of fruit on it but it just all felt quite thrown together. The toast lastly again was cold, I guess because of the cashew cream which felt like the ratio to bread was way too much. I don’t take pleasure in being slightly negative but have to be honest. overall it was all just ok . I left feeling it was style than substance when I really wanted to love it. Price was £30 in total with a drink which I was ok with.

The most amazing vegan pancakes! Haven’t stopped thinking about them since. Such a popular place so was lucky to get a seat but was well worth it.

Overpriced, £10 for 3 dry pancakes, a drizzle of maple syrup and a banana is just ridiculous. I get the “shop independent/support your local business” but come on. Nearly £40 for 3 smoothies and x2 plates of pancakes.

I love the aesthetic of this place and the location is lovely. This was my first time trying Sunday and don't get me wrong it was nice. However I did think it was quite expensive for what my friend and I got. Also they brought everything out separately? I would have preferred if they brought the drinks out together and the food out together. However it took about 30mins to make a smoothie...we ended up getting the food about 10mins before the smoothie came. I would go back but only for a treat because its just too expensive

My favourite place to go! Always amazing food and drink in a cute aesthetic atmosphere with friendly staff and good music. The strawberry iced matcha is amazing, so are the smoothie bowls!
