An excellent place to stop after or during a good dog walk, the best coffee I’ve had in the area. The staff are so friendly and happy, it gave me a very homely feel. The cake brought back such happy memories of eating my nans cooking, thank you so much for that. I will definitely be back for breakfast with friends as it’s in an ideal and accessible location while being peaceful. A very good spot for autistics and other neurodivergent people.

Had deep fried shredded beef in peking sauce and noodles. Best ive ever had from a takeaway.

Staff were really friendly and helpful along with my full English breakfast being beautiful and more than enough food along with large drinks.

Called in for lunch today. Was not sure what to expect for their £8.95 special 2 course lunch. Absolutely amazing value. Don't know how they do it for the price. My husband had the black pudding stack with peppercorn sauce for starter. He has had it before from an Italian restaurant but he said today's knocked spots off the Italian one which he paid more for as just a starter. I had the soup which too was very nice Mains my husband had steak and ale pie. Loads of good quality steak in pie. I had mince and leek pudding. Both mains were served with veg and lovely homemade chips. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Lovely cosy pub and I know we will definitely be visiting again. Great choice on menu both specials and normal menu. Highly recomend

If you like your coke chopped and sniffed rather than in a glass then it’s ok. Frequented by every low life in the area with regular late night fights outside. Was ok when it first opened but now no decent people go

No food yet but they hope to get food under way soon,if they do I will go to see what they are serving

Met up with some mates in Stanley before starting our road trip down to Dover then Calais, they were already tucking into some breakfast goodies, so I opted for a Full English and a coffee for myself, just to be sociable. Reading through some of these reviews and I’m wondering if I was in the same place? I found the staff were very attentive, polite and friendly, the breakfast beautifully cooked, well presented and substantial, the coffee excellent. Shamrock Bar in Stanley is a decent little cafe that serves decent food, I’m more than happy to recommend.

We had a meal here as we were stopping at hotel 52. We had a delicious meal. The waitress Lucy was wonderful as was the young man behind the bar. They were on their own without the manager and did a brilliant job

Ordered chicken wrap with salad got home and opened a chip wrap with salad all in wrap returned to shop and got what I originally ordered. Got home and got a salad wrap with very small pieces chicken and struggled to find much chicken the whole thing was disgusting and went in the bin. So that was my first and last visit to God Father when you order a chicken wrap you expect succulent pieces of chicken on a small bed of salad NOT a salad wrap with a few scatty pieces of chicken mixed in salad NEVER AGAIN sorry.

The staff works very slowly like a fast food restaurant. I work as a food delivery person and I see that they work hard and there are not many people in the restaurant. There was a line from a movie. Whoever hates working goes to Mc Donalds.

Delivery driver really nice and accurate great service

Ordered 3 large pizzas via Just Eat app. Delivered on time, still hot and tasty. Garlic bread with cheese very good too. Would order from here again.

Went to this Greggs at Stanley at midday today(06.07.24) and bought a fish finger sandwich, wedges and coffee. Excellent value at £5. Lettuce was very fresh and fish fingers cooked perfectly. The two guys that served me were really friendly and helpful especially as they were so busy. Would def go back again
