Rangos in County Durham

Staff were really friendly and helpful along with my full English breakfast being beautiful and more than enough food along with large drinks.

I worked here over 40 years ago when it was a care home ,I now live in the South West but ive seen lots of pics of the restaurant, as it is now ,had to try it ,we were not disappointed,really lovely food, really friendly staff and absolutely beautiful surroundings, I definitely will go again when back in the North East, and I will definitely recommend to all my family

We stayed at the hotel next door, Hotel 52 Stanley, and had breakfast here. The breakfast was worth every penny. It was very tasty and filling and served by a wonderful waitress. We will definitely return.

Not slating the place but we ordered online (just eat) got the food delivered within 40 minutes to find one meal missing and one desert . We ended up driving to rangos to have to wait 20 minutes until the made the food that was missing they did apologise but by the time we got ho.e the other food was cold First and last we will go here

Fantastic breakfast whilst staying at Hotel 52 next door. Great quality ingredients served with a smile. Good value for money. Set us up for a busy day.

We were staying in Hotel 52 next door for two nights, so popped into Rangos, unfortunately they weren't serving evening meals, but we did pop in for a couple of drinks in the lovely restaurant. We also had breakfast which was very good, the staff were amazing, unfortunately I didn't get any names, but the dark haired girl with the baby, was one of the best waitresses I've ever come across, she was spot on!! Thank you for great food and great service.

Great little restaurant well priced with a wide selection. We arrived just before closing on a Sunday evening and the guy in charge couldn’t have been more accommodating. Kids meals were absolutely superb, the amount and quality of food for £6.95 was incredible. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Second time we've been for Sunday dinner and they did not disappoint. The restaurant is lovely and comfortable, the staff can't do enough for you and the food was beautiful. Will definitely be back.

We arrived at the restaurant for Christmas Day Dinner and were seated at our large table. Drinks were ordered and Ayesha waited until we were all settled then brought the drinks. After a short wait the starters were served. We were not rushed at all throughout the meal which was delicious and plentiful. After we had our desserts we thought we were finished but next was the cheese board. Five cheeses and crackers and grapes were put before us. We couldn't finish it so a box was provided [not asked for] and home it went. We will be booking for next Chritmas and through the year and we certainly would recommend the restaurant to anyone who wants deliciously cooked food served by lovely staff in pleasant surroundings.

Fantastic service at a lovely restaurant that has been transformed to a high standard. Compliments to the chef's and kitchen staff that are certainly keeping up to a high level. I only hope we get a Rangos in Hexham Northumberland. Many thanks for making mum and aunt two very happy people even though they are tough critics you still passed with 5 stars. I cannot rate this place enough, the staff are very friendly and cannot do enough for you. The food is absolutely amazing and too much to choose from and very good value for money. Very relaxing environment. I will definitely be going back

From the moment we enter the venue, until the moment we’ve left, we felt nothing but welcome and looked after. This venue truly, not just with food but with fabulous customer service and homie feeling is by miles on of the greatest experience we’ve had in any restaurant. Ordering full chicken was probably the best decision ever, crispy skin and phenomenal quality of the meat. I am more than sure that this birds came from the local farm as they were not the size of the pigeons lol, it took a while to get through it but it was amazing! Definitely coming back every time I’m going to pass Stanley… I would highly recommend that venue to everyone, great for business and even better for family meals!

Delicious foods and plenty of hot drinks supplied at our table of 18 people by a lovely young waitress called Ayesha , she was beautifully dressed in back and white and was a credit to Rangos . Would recommend afternoon tea to anyone .

A surprise birthday meal by my daughter and son in law RANGOS was the perfect location. 1st the decorations balloons were beautiful. Then came the food absolutely amazing in a clean beautiful restaurant, The staff were so attentive, Alesha is a credit to the team, Just what the area needs well done keep it up.

This is now my favourite restaurant in NE. Beautiful contempory and relaxing place that consistently serves excellent food with attentive frindky service. Last weekend I tried the breakfast which was cooked to perfection and very generous portion. Last night we took advantage of the steak night offer. Wow! My ribeye melted in the mouth and my wife devoured the sirloin. Was served with mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, chips and side salad. Beautifully presented. Chef here is 1st class. Accompanied by 2 good glasses of wine. The entire bill was under £35. Well done Rangos! Great service as always too.

Oh my word. I would come back to this place just for Rangos breakfast It was outstanding. 10/10 . This was high class restaurant cooking and presentation. The size of breakfast was enough for two, couldn't eat it all. Salmon and eggs were two large chunks of cooked smoked salmon fillets, my scrambled egg with bacon largons were buttery and scrumptious .  Why this chef is here I will never know. He should be in a top class London restaurant or Hotel . We will return for Rangos chefs cooking . If I were a millionaire that chef would be my own.

Been here on 2 occasions now, once for breakfast and once for lunch, and had a great time both times. Breakfast portions were excellent, very tasty and great options for kids. Lunch this week was also great, potato skins x 2, hunters chicken and corned beef pie were mint. Reasonably priced and lovely decor, its defo worth a visit.

Stayed at Hotel 52 & had our breakfast at Rangos for 2 mornings. It was absolutely delicious. We tried the full English cooked breakfast, scrambled eggs with bacon bits on toast, poached eggs with smashed avocado on toast & the granola with fruit & yoghurt. All lovely & fresh, cooked to perfection & very tasty. Topped by first class sevice from our waitress Aisha, we would highly recommend eating here. Thankyou.
