First visit and will certainly be back again and again. Everything was great and not too much trouble for the staff or too expensive.

Our first visit on Saturday & it won't be our last. Lovely quiet restaurant, delicious food & amazing staff. Until next time ❤️

We booked a table for Sunday lunch but there was no need as it was empty which was a bit worrying but the food was really good. We had potato skins for starter - they were a bit greasy as they seemed to be deep fried but the Sunday dinner was great and we loved the jug of gravy each! The staff were friendly. 2 courses and 2 drinks + a tip for £50, can't go wrong

I booked a table for Sunday lunch at 3pm. When we arrived a young girl told us that they had stopped serving food. I explained that we had a table booked. She disappeared into the kitchen and then sone time later a young lad came out and said we’re sorry but we have no food left. I replied well surely you would check your diary. He said sorry but can’t serve as we have no food !! Absolutely shocking that they don’t plan fir customers who book ! Will not be returning !

Me and my husband went for food . And it was lovely my husband had a fillet steak and it was cooked perfectly. I had the hanging chicken masala kebabs and again were cooked to perfection . The o uon rings were so light and crispy . The lady who served us was so welcoming and friendly and the service was brilliant . Definitely our go to place now . You could tell by the food the chef really appreciates the food he serves . FANTASTIC . WOULD RECOMEND . Lovely place . Lovely staff . And lovely food

Really disappointed with the meal. On Steak Night both the steak meals arrived cold and the mixed fajita was not warm either. Food was sent back but didn’t come back much warmer. I understand there were staff shortages and I must say the young waitress that served us was excellent but it was really disappointing. We were offered a complimentary drink as an apology which was a nice gesture but there was no offer the reduce the cost of the meal which was really disappointing. We have had excellent meals and experiences here before but unfortunately will not be going back.

Im not that person who’s complain but this was hilarious… We went for burger dinner, we got starter (was fine), we was waiting for our “magical” burger like owner post everywhere pictures and mension it. We got the burgers and we can’t eat of the meat smell… It was bad meat. We ask nicely to the waitress to come over and she said I will sent you manager, we said yeah thats fine. Manager came ant took our plates to the “chef” to check the meat. She came back and said oh so we check the meat and its all fine its just “yours taste” I said but sorry the meat its stinks and we don’t want to eat that.. She said I TRIED AND THE CHEF TRIED so its all good, I said so what we gona do now? she said I CAN BRING YOU BACK THE BURGERS BECAUSE ITS ALL GOOD, I said but you just said you tried it with the chef and you asking me do I want it back? So they told us yous have to pay all bill because its nothing wrong with it, so we eat half mac&cheese dring few pints and pay for it 42£ , never ever and I would never reccomend for anyone

The Ranch meat house is my go to place for the tasty weekend dinner. I love their chicken wings and meat platter.

Table booked for the family on Tuesday 15 August when we turned up place in darkness and doors locked, what a let down, management had not even bothered to inform us. This no way to run a business in fact disgusting such a wasted journey

Unfortunately was not open when we visited, time was incorrect on Google business. We did call but got no answer.

Wasn't open even though Google said it was .. rang no answer... Need to change your opening times . .. sad.... In reply to your reply ... Yesterday was Wednesday and google business page is the page you edit for your business information so customers get the right information.

Absolutely terrible service! Would not recommend anyone to go here for Sunday lunch! Service was slow. Items were missing and staff were completely rude. The whole dining room were complaining about various elements of their dining experience. We'll never be back!

Food was ok at best. Service ridiculous, no sauce for kids chicken nuggets, got offered brown sauce or mustard. They had a "busy" day before. Asked for extra Yorkshire pudding, only to get ignored, then when questioned said it was because there were several tablets with "big orders". Don't small orders matter? Be careful guys! Might not have food soon if have a busy day before! Sadly won't be returning!

Food is absolutely gorgeous, a little pricey for burgers, but definitely worth it. Waiting staff were very busy with a party & we could have walked away without paying the bill & they wouldn't have known but they were lovely and it wouldn't put me off from going back.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Although there was a slight delay for the food to arrive due to staff shortage, when it came it was an absolute gastro delight. Excellent to the eye, Excellent taste and hot.

Spent the night in the Hobbit hut to celebrate friends birthday had excellent night. Food was lush and the staff were brilliant can't praise them enough nothing was any bother they really looked after us, highly recommend it.

After passing this place several times on the bus, my son and I visited here last Friday. I was totally blown away! I don't normally like trying new places due to my anxiety, but the staff were absolutely lovely. I initially ordered drinks, but when I enquired about food, the manager asked if we'd like to sit in the bar or the restaurant. We decided on the restaurant and weren't disappointed. It's a lovely light and airy space, which compliments the use of the wood very tastefully. The lighting is just right; not too dark or too bright, and the windows make great use of the natural sunlight. The young man who served us was courteous and polite, repeated our order back to us to confirm our choices, then let us enjoy our surroundings. When the food came, it was beautifully cooked and exactly the way we had ordered it which was great. My son had the fillet steak medium rare and I had the sirloin medium rare too, with sweet potato fries. They enquired if the steak was cooked to our liking, as well as whether the food was okay. Nice touch. When the manager brought our bill, he pointed out the 20% discount on our food as they have offers on Monday to Friday. We will definitely be visiting again very soon. This really is a local gem that's worth taking the time to visit. We really enjoyed it. Thank you.

The food was quite tasty. Had the Tomahawk steak which was very well prepared and yummy. Host was very friendly, served us free starters on the house and even gave us discount on our final bill.

Simply awesome! A wonderful combination of excellent food, very generous portions, unbelievable value for money and top class, friendly service. I bet you won’t manage 3 courses!!

Booked grandsons christening at the seaham Town Hall, the ranch do the catering for events. We paid £600 for 50 guests. What we received for the amount of money we paid was absolutely disgusting. We were promised vegetarian options, children's options and a hot and cold buffet. Everyone commented on how poor the buffet was and barely fed 20 guests.

Excellent service. Very reasonable prices. The quality of meat is really good. We had the tomahawk with selection of sauces which was perfectly well made. Had decent amount of marble. Perfect for two people. Bonus you get good discount during weekdays during late lunch time.

Brilliant meals fantastic service

Went for lunch after morning on Seaham Beach. The restaurant was very quiet (12.30ish) so plenty of choice where to sit. Staff were very pleasant and helpful, drink came promptly and left just right amount of time before coming for order, also checked back that all was ok and whether more drinks required. Chose the Ranch sizzler - rack of ribs, wings, steak skewer, halloumi, fries, coleslaw and corn cob. Food was great but be warned platter is huge! Everything cooked well, BBQ glaze on ribs and wings sweet and very sticky! Had some extra ranch sauce which was pleasantly mustardy but not hot and great for dipping fries and halloumi in. A very enjoyable leisurely lunch and recommended.

We came here early January and wouldn't return. There were only three tables occupied yet felt rushed, drinks very watered down, food was okay quality but small portions. Customer service skills lacking and we wouldn't visit again as much better restaurants locally.

I thoroughly enjoyed the food, the portion sizes were good, staff friendly and the prices were very reasonable. Would definitely recommend.

Been here with my son today, lovely staff! My son ordered a massive chicken platter, it was massive the staff had a right laugh with us when we seen the size of it. I ordered a gyros that was lovely, steak and chicken, 1 of the best coleslaws I've had, fries were lovely too. All in all 10 out of 10 I've been here before but was my sons 1st time he can't wait to go back.. currently eating his leftovers as there was that much 🤣

I read mixed reviews for this place before going, however the positive ones outweighed the bad. We arrived at 7.30 one hour before they closed and ordered fairly quick, no issue with the wait time for drink and food at all.The problems were completely with the service and experience. The waitress was very sweet, but multiple occasions made me uncomfortable. Not only did she remark “ew!” very loudly when my partner ordered a blue steak, she also kept loudly cutting across me when I was ordering my food saying that she always orders the dish when she eats there. No issue promoting the food but I felt it was a bit overbearing.When starters arrived they tasted good but small portions, when mains came out, the waitress placed one plate on the table and bumped my friends head with the other plate. I thought the food was going to spill everywhere and although she apologised it shouldn’t have happened.Throughout the entire meal one of the staff had connected their Spotify to the speakers and was blasting out very random music include grime and rap, it wasn’t restful and drowned out our conversation. It was £100 for three of us (2 starters, 3 mains, 1 side, 4 beers) which is quite pricey and honestly I don’t feel the food and service made up for it. A shame as the restaurant itself looked really nice and cosy.

We visited for the first time on a friend's recommendation and we were not disappointed! The food was delicious, I'd highly recommend the new chocolate orange cake it was light and fruity very tasty! We were served by Sophie, she was lovely and friendly and made our whole visit a real pleasure, we will definitely be back again!

Terrible service, no menus given had to ask, had to find someone to order, then chase for bill, worse service I've ever had and wouldn't return because of it.

Very average. Went here because of the good reviews but we were very underwhelmed. £45 for a sharing platter and the best thing on it was the coleslaw. Steak was very cheap and chewy, everything else was very underseasoned and not to good at all. Coke was £4 too. Not impressed.

Arrived for a booking at 7pm on Sat 22nd May 2021. Was a little early so asked if we could sit somewhere to have a drink first. The young lady behind the bar didn't seem interested at all and seemed more interested in texting on her phone. When she asked what drinks we wanted she gave Martini Rosso instead of dry Martini. Was beginning to think at this point it was a big mistake coming here ! When eventually we were shown to our table was an age before we were asked what we wanted. We ordered one starter as my partner didn't want a starter and a main of Fillet steak and a main of Hot Shot Parmo. After another wait which seemed forever the meals finally arrived along with the starter at the same time ?????? The fillet steak main was on a plate with half a dozen chips and 2 onion rings. The plate was child sized plate but upon looking around restaurant noticed everybody else's meals were on huge platters as my partner's was . When calling over waitress to complain about receiving starter with main she didn't look that bothered and said i will go and get somebody. Eventually a chap arrived who we noticed sat in bar upon our arrival and whom we thought was a customer. He looked like a body builder type and leant over table in an intimidating manner berating us as if it was our fault and speaking in such a manner that the whole restaurant could hear. When I told him about starter which was 3 chicken wings on a plate for the astronomical price of £7 and it arriving with main he said sorry about the arrival with main and that was the size of the starter full stop. I had been to thus restaurant before and that time there was at least 6 wings with trimmings in a huge plate so knew that this was not the case. When I asked about my main being on a child sized plate he just said if you want a platter like everyone else I will put it on one but surely this should of happened initially ? The steak I am sure definitely was not fillet and had gristle in it. After trying to put our point across without any joy he just started to intimidate even more and belittled us in front of staff and customers. After waiting and looking forward to a night out after lockdown this was a complete disaster and a huge mistake. Avoid this restaurant at all cost incase you suffer the same treatment. Staff were a joke and supposed manager was a bigger joke.

First time at the Ranch for the take out sunday lunch. Decided to try it after being recomended by a friend. It was nothing short of amazing. Every single component was as good as could possibly be. Just shy of £30 for 3 sunday lunches and worth every penny. Definitely need to try more from here. If everything is as good as sunday lunch, I will be in for a treat.

Last minute decision to go out for tea and decided to try here as we have had a few lovely takeaways during lockdown. We both got beef and chicken gyros and they were beautiful. Came served with dips,salad and seasoned fries. Absolutely spot on. Would highly recommend.

Food came and looked lovely, we were the only two people in the place so the service was quick. Meat was very dry and tasteless, ribs tasted like the frozen ones you can buy from Iceland. Chilli concarne tasted like the tinned stuff and the beef was very dry and again tasteless. Best thing on my plate was the chips which isn't really saying much for the place at all. It was lovely last time I was there but its gone massively down hill in the year on so since. They do red stripe on draft which is what stopped this from being a 1 star. Up your game ranch.

Wanted to try this place for a while now. Had the chill dog with chunky chips, was nice, but could do with bigger hot dog and more chilli. Wife has philly cheese fries which was told was nice enough. Kids had burger, good size.Kids chicken tenders was just nuggets.But all enjoy there food.Booking was easy and staff friendly and helpful.Would recommend and will return.Menu and bill uploaded

This was our first visit the The Ranch - we’d heard lots of reviews regarding the quality of meals so thought we’d give it a try.Unfortunately we won’t be in a hurry to return as a result of :1) sitting at the tables they were sticky and unclean.2) when meals arrived we had to ask for cutlery and unfortunately no condiments were offered.3) service was poor - waited at bar to be served. The member of staff acknowledged me and said I’d be with you shortly and then went on to talk to her colleague for 5 minutes about her Facebook site.4) Meal wasn’t what I ordered - requested sides which weren’t delivered. Ordered 12oz gammon steak which was tiny in size, menu states bubble and squeak mash - I received chips. 5) 2 people in our party had to wait over 10 minutes for their meal from the first person being served.Disappointed to have to write such a negative review after what we had heard from our friends.

I take joy in picking apart american themed resturaunts in the uk. However tonight we stumbled in here . The staff are friendly and accommodating! The food is just like home? Portions are huge dishes are tasty well presented and to date the most realistic us dining experience ive had in the uk in over 30 yrs! Well done guys !

Firstly thank you to the government for the Rest It to Help Out incentive for August, mate decent prices look even better.My wife's birthday in a couple of days time so it was an excellent way to celebrate the eventShe isn't a massive eater but even her normal portion was staggering. The rest of the adults all had the Ranch House Sizzler which was mind blowing in size as well as quality.Sausage, brisket, half rack of ribs, pulled pork, corn on the cob, chicken wings, beans, slaw, chili with nachos and a choice of chips on a massive plateService was excellent food was hot and drinks at a reasonable price.Can't recommend it high enough and even at full price is great value

Food was really nice, took an hour until the starters arrived hence the 4 stars.

Went on daughters recommendation and we were well happy from start to finish. Will be returning again..
