Wonderful time all three meals were excellent. Staff couldn't be more welcoming or helpful. Definitely come again.

Totally amazing, the food was gorgeous and as were the cocktails, the restaurant is beautifully decorated and contributes to an amazing atmosphere. Our server, Lewis, was extremely friendly and attentive the whole evening.

Horrendous experience! The food tasted like it had been sitting out for days, and the service was as slow as molasses. Save yourself the disappointment and dine elsewhere.

If you enjoy food poisoning, then this is the place for you! I spent the entire night hugging the toilet after dining here. Absolutely appalling hygiene standards.

Me and my partner booked a table was my partners special birthday. The staff didn't look at the book for our table. When we were taking to our table it wasn't set at all. we were sat down got a menu handed and the girl left we sat and sat so me and my partner got up and went else where.... so I have been told and seen good reviews it's my birthday April the 3rd. Me and my partner are guna book a bottomless brunch and give it another go 👍

Ok just luck of consistency.. one day burgers are nice and grilled other day just just roasted and taste bit fishy ..

Setting in the Durham restaurant was very nice and we were served by Ellie who was a great host. There were four of us (all adults) who all had different meals and each of them was ‘okay’ but nothing more. The cost however was very expensive in comparison to similar settings. Overall, we enjoyed the meal but the very high pricing would stop us returning.

Eve was a polite waitress and she made the experience fantastic, food was excellent and delivered very quickly well done

The food was delicious. I ordered from the set menu and everything was great and a decent size. The pilsner was really refreshing. The staff were very attentive and the service was very quick.

Me and my sister decided to book here for Bottomless Brunch, as we were out celebrating her birthday! The staff were all warm and welcoming, making sure we always had topped up drinks! The restaurant had a great atmosphere and amazing playlist! Nothing was too much from the staff, and they even helped to celebrate the birthday with a slice of their signature cake and of course the famous TGI birthday song! Russ (manager) and Dylan W (name on our receipt) went above and beyond to help us celebrate our day, and I would highly recommend the Bottomless Brunch to any and all friends/family!

Chicken wings and fajitas was amazing!! And our dessert was so mega yummy ice cream topped with cake honestly heaven!! Jamie is also such a babe he was very entertaining and attentive and really made our visit memorable!

Fantastic experience from arriving to leaving, we were greated and served by Jamie who couldn't help us enough, everything was top class service. We opted for a birthday sundae for our child's second birthday ( shared by others ) along with other drinks, Jamie was very friendly and professional and Ellie who I believe made the sundae 🍨 was so helpful. Thanks so much Jamie and Ellie, we will be back for sure yous were unbelievable 😊. Full family left very happy

We visited as a group of 5 for bottomless brunch. Food was excellent, a good choice & shared plates, sesame chicken absolutely gorgeous👌 The best part was the service they looked after us so well, nothing was a problem & made the birthday girls day! Plus we never had an empty glass 🥂 Much better than other brunches we've been to. Would highly recommend for a special occasion. Massive shout out to Lewis who served us, you made our day. Not usually a one to complain, however the experience here today has been terrible. Came for a family meal with 2 young children after being to the odeon. We waited 40 minutes to have our drinks order taken, the music was so loud we couldn't hear each other talk, we were sat in the middle of everyone getting drunk on bottomless brunch (not against bottomless brunch in any way, just would have thought better management would have been to maybe sit family's sesperate?), food came which was lovely, however no one came over to ask it was okay. Sat about another 20 / 30 minutes waiting for the plates to be taken away / to ask for the bill, so by this point I asked to speak to a manager. Manager didn't even apologise and just said he'd ask someone to come straight over and take payment. Would not recommend for a family meal (or bottomless brunch to be honest as the service was so slow, couldn't even get my diet coke refilled) and will use other restaurants in Durham in the future.

Just cannot go wrong with a bowl of sesame chicken strips and as an extra bonus if you sign up kids eat free! Great service by Kaity.

Great experience, good food and lots of it. All served by Ellie A, who went out of her way to make it a good meal out with my wife.

We visited Friday's for lunch on sunday as it's my daughters favorite place to eat. We were welcomed and seated by a friendly staff member. Kerry our server was quick to arrive at our table to take our orders as well as give my daughter a balloon and the colouring pack which she enjoys. The food was great as always and we can't wait to return. Kerry and another staff member (didn't get his name/possibly manager) really made us all feel comfortable and even gave us some extra advice on the bottomless brunch deal I enquired about. Look forward to returning!

We went here after having just been to the Odeon along the street. It was my choice for my birthday meal and I had the Sesame chicken strips with a salad and a bottle of cider. The strips are a fave of mine and have had them many times, first time at this venue though. My husband had a Fridays Glazed double stack burger and it was huge. We shared a side of mozzarella sticks and were completely stuffed after our meals. We were served by the lovely Ellie A who was courteous, friendly and very helpful.

Apart from the food (which is why we went) our experience tonight was really disappointing. I’ve been going to TGI Fridays for about 30 years and was looking forward to trying the one in my local city. I appreciate its Saturday night but the music was ridiculously loud and it felt like a nightclub rather than a restaurant. We asked a few times for it to be turned down but it wasn’t. If the place had been packed with revellers that would have been one thing but it was dead. We would have spent more money if it hadn’t been such a horrible experience. The cherry on the cake was when my 13 year old daughter and her friend were asked to leave when they asked where the toilet was. We did get an apology but it just soured the evening further. Obviously I am too old to go to TGI Fridays on a Saturday night. Judging by the number of empty tables maybe I’m not alone. We did ask to speak to the manager before we left but they didn’t arrive.

DISASTERCLASS! The food was dramatically disappointing, not only in flavor but in size. For what you’re paying I would expect to get a plate that doesn’t resemble a kids meal. The service was good but that’s just about the only thing. Will never be going again

We visited on a Sunday lunchtime and the first impressions were great with polite friendly staff giving us a warm welcome and also a fantastic young lady playing acoustic guitar and signing! The covers had her own twist and it was perfect. Great experience and we'll definitely be back to sample more menu options and possibly take advantage of the bottomless brunch offer. We had the sharing plater followed by sloppy burgers and it was far too much food for two so I'd only order the sharing plater with a couple of extra sides. The plater was delicious 😋. The staff continued to give great service the whole time and very very helpful of any questions, so we'll done to the young team keeping so motivated on a Sunday lunchtime 👏.

This place is great for couples and Reece the bartender was very quick and was involved in conversation making it a great laugh being there il definitely be coming back :)

We went new years day and struggled to get anyone's attention to get a seat. The food on offer was painfully overpriced for what it was unfortunately, there are much better offerings in Durham for the price. It's a lovely looking place but I don't see it lasting due to the prices, I don't mind paying a lot of it's worth it but this isn't.

Amazing service start to finish! Good came bang on time. Kerry was very attentive and the manager (I presume) covering check backs too ensuring we always had a drink. My son is extremely prone to tantrums when he doesn’t get the dessert he fancies on the day and to my worry he wanted donuts which weren’t on the menu. The staff after advising it wasn’t possible then went above and beyond and magicked donuts outta nowhere for him and included some chocolate dipping sauce. Needless to say this service was way above and beyond my expectations and is something I will be using as an example of world class service in my own venues! Amazing team and service makes you completely forget the price point and makes a £80 lunch feel good value for money. We would 100% come back for the service alone however the food was amazing too great quality and not shy on the portions either. Double stacked glazed burger was absolutely phenomenal! 5 star for venue and the team but 10 stars to Kerry in particular!

My friends surprised me with a birthday dinner at Friday’s. Food was amazing as always, and the service was excellent. Jamie, Abby and Louis were really helpful. Jamie’s humour 10/10! Great food and couldn’t fault the service. Our server Lewis was prompt with taking orders and the food was perfectly timed. We had a bit of a logistical nightmare with trying to surprise our other guests by paying which all the staff were happy to help with this. After explaining that we were surprising the two children with us as they were foster kids whose case was going to court soon they offered us free cake with sparklers and balloon swords. It’s safe to say the kids really enjoyed the experience and I would highly recommend TGI Fridays - Durham.

Excellent food and service. This is our fifth visit to this restaurant and it’s certainly one of our favourite TGI venues. Special thanks to Eve our server who was especially helpful and friendly. Will be returning soon.

Can not rate this high enough, we have done the bottomless brunch ,Dave and Chloe were absolutely fantastic so attentive and friendly . Daves cocktails are to die for,service excellent staff so attentive and friendly will be back

Visited on a Friday night during the Lumiere festival so was busy. We were served quickly and had cocktails which were great. Staff were great and our food was really nice, Nachos, sesame chicken fingers and burgers, generous portion and well presented. Great atmosphere for a family catch up, staff were friendly and service good.

Absolutely shocking... Took 40 minutes to get the drinks after having to get someone's attention to order and to be told neither lager was on. Weren't given food menus until we had to go ask and food then took another 45 minutes to come out (over 1.5 hours by this point!) and was luke warm with thick skin on the cheese sauce. Had to order the second pint at the bar where I was first told lager was back on, she continued to pour pale ale then when I said this was incorrect she said the pumps had been switched and gave a terrible excuse before conceding that only ale was available. Avoid!
