The best restaurants serving Default food in Merton London

** Last-Minute Letdown - didn’t honor booking** I had a reservation for two at Casa Argentina to celebrate a friend's birthday. Despite confirming my booking through email and receiving a reminder, they canceled it unexpectedly by phone less than 30 minutes before my arrival! When I asked them why, it transpired it was due to a walk-in. It's disappointing when a restaurant can't honor a reservation, especially within short notice and on a busy and rainy Friday night. Won't be returning and wanted to share to save others from a similar experience.

Sabrosa y deliciosa cocina casera italiana: probamos la lasaña, la pasta ariabiata, la pizza pepperoni, los langostinos en chile y, uno de sus favoritos, la bruschetta de tomate. Todos los platos eran frescos y deliciosos y muy bien presentados. El servicio también es cálido, amable y atento. Rápidamente se convierte en un favorito de la familia desde que se mudó a la zona. Estamos desconcertados de por qué no es más popular entre los lugareños. Una pequeña crítica; sentimos que el restaurante se beneficiaría de la adición de manteles y velas en cada mesa dando un ambiente cálido y acogedor.

Very unfriendly service from the get go. Did not even eat there thankfully. Maybe welcome clients in the future and don't be so pompous

Not good at all!! Way below average. Cannot believe the price charged in Uber eats…. It’s a very basic corner kebab shop and they charge £18 for a large lamb shish?! Meat was dry. Chips were dry and limp. Do not recommend. Very unhappy.

felt I had to submit a review when I realised that Indian Gossip as a restaurant does not exist any more and the food came from a takeaway in Wandsworth. The food was so late that we drove up to Indian Gossip and it is no longer there. this was also confirmed by the driver when he bought the dishes that were missing. This shouldn't be allowed as there is no way to trace where the food is coming from surely this is wrong. Food was really not good

También el teléfono de la tienda apenas funciona así que no apuntar en el timbre de ellos! Pasó por varios meses de ser una línea telefónica que suena y luego se corta, sin respuesta casi como si alguien estuviera bajando el teléfono. Y ahora contestan pero suena como si la persona siempre estuviera conduciendo o a un millón de kilómetros de distancia. En teoría, unas 130 libras esterlinas deberían ser suficientes para tres personas, excluyendo las bebidas. En realidad no lo era y no solo que los estándares de este restaurante son pobres en todos los ámbitos. Ellos solían ser mi local hace años y estábamos de vuelta en la zona, así que pensé en volver y darles mi dinero. Lamenté haber vuelto con ellos. I have been to Nando’s Colliers Wood so many times with friends and family and every time food and services are amazing . We really enjoy food every time . I wanna mention Ahmad and Khalid here who’s services are exceptional and they always go above and beyond to make sure we get good services and food. Great team overall Thank You for that. I will definitely recommend other friends and family as well.

Peppercorn squid is lovely. Nice rice and chicken curry and spring rolls. Chicken balls can be hit and miss

The service and staff are amazing, so friendly and attentive. Food quality is good however the portions are shockingly small for the prices... We wouldn't come back to the any branch.

I really don't understand why this Korean restaurant is so popular. The food was terrible, and the portions were ridiculously small. I suspect they might be treating customers differently based on their ethnicity, as the service was extremely biased. The staff seemed to only cater to white and Korean customers, while completely ignoring others. The service was beyond poor - it was practically non-existent. The staff was rude and unhelpful, making the entire dining experience unbearable. I can't fathom how this place has so many positive reviews. I will definitely never return and would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Save your time and money and go somewhere else!
