La Piola in Merton

Sabrosa y deliciosa cocina casera italiana: probamos la lasaña, la pasta ariabiata, la pizza pepperoni, los langostinos en chile y, uno de sus favoritos, la bruschetta de tomate. Todos los platos eran frescos y deliciosos y muy bien presentados. El servicio también es cálido, amable y atento. Rápidamente se convierte en un favorito de la familia desde que se mudó a la zona. Estamos desconcertados de por qué no es más popular entre los lugareños. Una pequeña crítica; sentimos que el restaurante se beneficiaría de la adición de manteles y velas en cada mesa dando un ambiente cálido y acogedor.

Tuvimos una comida encantadora, el servicio fue fantástico. Trajimos a nuestro cachorro para su primera noche de salida, y el personal era muy servicial y acogedor. La comida y el vino eran deliciosos también. ¡Volveremos seguro!

Visité La Poila para celebrar mi cumpleaños y el de mi hijo y me quedé muy impresionado. El servicio era impecable, y la comida era sabrosa y buena relación calidad-precio. Volveré a visitarte si puedo.

Went Saturday 9th March. The food was great, the waiter provided a lovely service and the restaurant had a nice vibe. Compliments to the staff.

Great coffee… dropped in to grab a brew while on the hockey run. The coffee is really great with superb flavour and the service is friendly and efficient!

Really nice family run Italian restaurant. Food was fresh, tasty and good portions. Staff were happy to help and pleasant. Overall we really enjoyed our lunch here and commented on the decor and general ambiance which was relaxed. There are a lot of chain Italians and we like the fact this was family run.

My sister bought us a Groupon voucher to use at this restaurant. The first I knew that we couldn’t use it, was when the owner advised us once we had taken our seats, that he no longer worked with Groupon and that there wasn’t a way in which he could redeem it. He therefore offered us a £10 discount off our food. The Groupon voucher was for £60 discount value off food. We had our meal which was tasty, paid and left. To my surprise my sister then contacted me the next day, to say that the Groupon had in fact been redeemed, so effectively we paid twice for the same meal. It has taken nearly a week for the owner to refund us as he knowingly was paid twice, but this was entirely his doing. I am very upset and disappointed that we were lied to and have had the hassle of trying to resolve the matter. So, for the avoidance of any doubt, if you have bought a Groupon - please get a refund to avoid the same happening to you. For this reason we will not return.

the worst meal i have ever ordered. Lied about ingredients to impress, at a premium. Food received does not resemble pictures. An insult to italian food. how can anyone sell this food in good conscience..?

I was recommended to the restaurant by a couple of friends so thought would give it a try. we were sat at the table with the Vespa the glass on the table was dusty so we’re the glasses the restaurant was very quiet only one other table taken but looking around the tables & glasses didn’t look very clean. We ordered starters which were quite bland especially the bruschetta which was literally toast piled with tomatoes really needs pesto or a dressing. The mains were much better both the pasta & pizza were both very nice especially the carbonara customer service wasn’t great the guy that served us didn’t smile once would return for the mains but customer service needs improvement so does the starters

I order from this restaurant via Uber Eats a lot. The food is absolutely delicious with generous portions. I would love to pay them a visit in person sometime.

This place has nothing to do with authentic Italian food. Pizza and starters tasted as if they were bought in Tesco and cooked from frozen. Romana pizza had a huge fist-sized lardons instead of ham- disappointing.

What a gem. Bella was the perfect hostess. Simple Italian food at a great price. Defo worth a visit.

Stopped there on a random walk, asked for a flat white coffee. The best flat white I've come across in England. the service was second to none. After a couple of coffees, stayed on for some wine, which was also excellent. Didn't have anything to eat, but judging from the number of delivery people coming and going I think it is very popular. the staff was very friendly. I'll be popping in regularly now on my walks, be my stopping off for sure! :)
