The best restaurants serving Default food in Merton London

It was a hot day and we decided to pop in and get some icecrea, before we headed to a show at the theatre close by. The ice cream was tasty and they had a decent amount of flavour options.

While it is a bit more expensive than other places we always eat here when in London. My family had the Sunday roast which was very good and not too expensive and I had the beautiful afternoon tea. It was lovely and a great experience.

Felt uncomfortable from get go.. had Mt 2 year old, most were fine but grumpy barman...then felt they were mocking me and my daughter with 2 older gentleman in corner...I've come in before but probably won't again..old man's pub is all I felt ..made me feel I couldn't make a sound let alone my daughters

Decent chips and a good sized portion (large would easily feed 3), however oily undercooked batter and cod that tasted of nothing. When it was run by Asian owners, it was delicious however has sadly gone downhill since a change of ownership. Shame

No atmosphere, broken chairs, run down restaurant, dirty tables, no alcoholic drinks… it was awful. So bad in fact I didn’t even order and I went to Bombay Delight just around the corner… don’t eat here!!!

New Bulgarian has replaced Sanjunana. Food is superb. Looks like this one is going to be successful.

We visited Lupo Bros in April for my nephew's birthday. We chose it for its pizza night, which offered good value and meant we could dine early with young children. The pizza menu is simple but there's something for everyone. We ordered several different ones to share and they went down well with the kids and grown ups. The staff were helpful and friendly, and my nephew enjoyed spending his birthday here with his cousins.

Since when were samosa and nachos considered French or even European FFS!!! this place is a charade and not worth wasting money on!

Stopped here for a quick bite to eat and a coffee.l whilst visiting a friend. Great customer service. Would revisit and recommend to others.

** Last-Minute Letdown - didn’t honor booking** I had a reservation for two at Casa Argentina to celebrate a friend's birthday. Despite confirming my booking through email and receiving a reminder, they canceled it unexpectedly by phone less than 30 minutes before my arrival! When I asked them why, it transpired it was due to a walk-in. It's disappointing when a restaurant can't honor a reservation, especially within short notice and on a busy and rainy Friday night. Won't be returning and wanted to share to save others from a similar experience.

I have visited this cafe several times and am never disappointed, it's a walk from Wimbledon but worth it to get away from the chain cafes in the centre. The food is clearly freshly cooked to order and you sometimes have to wait if it's busy, so make sure you're not in a rush if you go at a busy time. I love food and I'm a vegetarian, the options for us veggies are well thought out and tasty, unlike other places where veggie food is simply a second thought. I do think that it would enhance service if bills were prepared before I get to the till to pay as this can be a bit hit and miss. But that is probably being a bit pedantic on my part.

So thought this cafe would be lovely for a welcome coffee. Coffe was great . However The dark haired lady serving was walking around taking food out of the counter and eating . Eating over the food in the counter on display. Taking various pieces of food and walking around eating . Fingers in mouth then re arranging the bread in the cabinet. Not hygienic at all. Walking up and down behind counter picking up various food stuff and shoving in her mouth. Disgusting. One customer asked her if she had washed her hands. She didn’t . Apart from this. Friendly but we wont return .

Excellent food and great service with a smile. We had Lamb donor, chicken sheesh, kofte, fish and chips. Large order at a busy time and they coped magnificently. All the orders were spot on and will always go back for more. Great portions too.

So poor and unprofessional to keep customers mislead about the cafe still opened. Need to change that and update the information about the cafe....thst was the best feature too price was adorable....
