I have visited this cafe several times and am never disappointed, it's a walk from Wimbledon but worth it to get away from the chain cafes in the centre. The food is clearly freshly cooked to order and you sometimes have to wait if it's busy, so make sure you're not in a rush if you go at a busy time. I love food and I'm a vegetarian, the options for us veggies are well thought out and tasty, unlike other places where veggie food is simply a second thought. I do think that it would enhance service if bills were prepared before I get to the till to pay as this can be a bit hit and miss. But that is probably being a bit pedantic on my part.

Nice enough venue but muffins were very dry and overpriced in my view. Also how they can justify charging over 10% more than the advertised price for a coffee because it’s a decaf - really??? My caffeine intolerance has never cost me extra before! Won’t be going back.

Popped in this morning for brunch and had the most delicious meal and my partner had an amazing cake after, one of the few local places that cater for gluten intolerance! The service was fantastic and it had a real homely feel. Can’t wait to try the lunch menu next time!

Zero atmosphere and rude chef. I ordered the lunch menu 10 minutes before the start, I asked if that was okay and was told it was fine. Then I have to hear the chef complaining about me...this was despite the fact it was very empty at the time i arrived. Following this I then have to wait 20 minutes for a panini and some salad and had to watch a couple get served food before me even though they arrived and ordered well after me. This was (I can only assume) clearly intentional to pay me back for daring to order the lunch menu! The food itself is cheap but it was dry and personally would prefer to pay more and enjoy the food. The whole place just wasn't an enjoyable experience for me. I don't expect to hear a chef complaining about getting custom;(especially as i politely asked if it was okay to order the lunch food given the time and the fact the place was half empty), alongside the wait for food and quality i will avoid and not recommend to any friends to try.

I was working around the corner and used this place for a snack, the first day I was served by an elderly lady who took ages to figure out how much to charge me for a tuna sandwich and a coke , a pricey £7 later and a 15 minute wait for the sandwich , the sandwich was very nice ! I had the same the next day , served by another elderly lady who took just as long to work out how much to charge me for the same thing, this time £7:50 and no glass for my drink, Also very very quiet in there , could do with some background music , I don’t want to sound like I’m moaning but a little bit more attention to things by the manager or owner and this place would be fantastic !

I came here yesterday with my 14 month old son having walked past a few times and glad I did. We picked a table and they brought a highchair over for us. I chose from their menu which had quite a few lunch options and went up to order. My little boy got a bit upset that I had left him at the table. I turned back round to look at my son, who had gone quiet, to see that one of the staff had put a tub of toys in front of him and he was happily exploring it. It was so thoughtful. The food was yummy. I felt very welcome and comfortable there. Thank you very much.

I haven’t been into Gooseberry Bush for a while and that’s my mistake. It’s so friendly and warm, a perfect place to kill off the hangover. The breakfast is magnificent, but I think sausages should be added to the offering. Definitely the best place in the area for a late brekkie, early lunch! They even do booze now. Shall I? Go on then.....

Although I live locally I hadn't been to GB for several years after a poor previous experience. I ordered the broccoli and cheddar soup which was tasty but there was sooooo much of it which I had to leave. Could have done with two thirds. I had the last piece of quiche which was reheated and tasted of paper...so dry. It was inedible and I did say so to the waitress who cleared the plates. She didn't react at all...just looked at me and took the plate away. The coffee was the best bit...

Great little family run café, good food and great potential. Only issue is that when you come to pay it seems to take ages to sort it out. They really need to revisit their processes for ordering and taking payment as it tarnishes the experience. The staff do not seem to know what they are doing and they seem to always be training someone. If you are the owner and reading this, please take the feedback as positive.

I absolutely enjoy the food at this cafe, the salad is always super fresh, and the bread is so great too, the paninis are all really good, it's really gourmet food at a decent price. The cookies and deserts are great always, I also had the best flapjack of my life here, and it's all very healthy food, there are also always some gluten free and vegan/vegetarian options. I come here really often for an awesome lunch :) I got to know the staff as I work next door and come in very often, and they are all super friendly and sweet. I only regret they're not open on Sundays, because I'd have my lunch there yet again!

Best Carrot cake I've ever had, hands down. Looking forward to trying the rest of the selection, as I hear this is only the tip of the iceberg! Thank you - it was devoured within the hour by a very happy crowd in the office.

All top notch. I had the chickpea and couscous stew and it was excellent. The coffee was great too; likewise the home made mince pies. Very friendly welcome from the staff as well. Will be back!

Ordered from this restaurant after i read the reviews.. california was 3/10 and avocado hoso maki was ok. The rest was horrid. I couldnt eat it and the salmon clearly was old and rotten from the way it smelled. A no from me.

Llevar.

We went for a late lunch on Wednesday 16th October. Met with a warm welcome from the host / manager (not sure). Food came with friendly service - the waitress was brilliant. Food was hot, tasty and we reallt enjoyed it. Best branch I have been to in a while. 4 stars as the table we sat at wasnt cleaned properly otherwise - excellent food and service.
