Very unfriendly service from the get go. Did not even eat there thankfully. Maybe welcome clients in the future and don't be so pompous

I went to this restaurant with my uncle, his friend, my cousin and myself. The service was very good and the food was delicious. They were very accommodating with allergies and children. My cousin is under the age of 10 and they recommended food for her that was not to spicy which was very considerate of them. If you are looking for an Indian restaurant in West London this is definitely the place to go.

(This is review of Chakra Barnes on Mortlake High Road) This is an oustanding and important addition to eating in Barnes Mortlake area. Four of use came here on Friday night. We had: two poppadum portions (excellent quality) one red onion bhajis good a kind of nacho type thing (really really good) samosas (really good) followed by: rhogan josh (excellent) lamb biryani (good) spinach chicken thing (good) black lentils (excellent) nan breads (nicely done) rhaita (generously done) Two bottles of white One bottle of cobra beer One large bottle of fizzy water Came to £150.00 without service - or £37.50 a head. Sorry, I think this is SUPERB value for a classy curry in a well designed London restaurant. Positives: excellent quality of food. `As good as shilpa hammersmith. Starters esp good. Wine list fair-not extortionate. Negative: the service was a bit slow but I honestly think this wasn't the fault of staff. Waiters were charming, attentive, kind. They may just be a tad understaffed for a busy Friday night. Common London problem. Will return : no question. Could become our top Indian.

Loved it, samosa starter was gorgeous as were the poppadom dips. Had butter chicken and saffron rice which were both incredible and a garlic naan. Staff were lovely and polite, couldn’t recommend more.

Amazing food, lovely setting, very welcoming and helpful service. Really enjoyed my samosa starter with chick pea sauce; the poppadoms were perfect and think the dips are the best I have experienced in any Indian restaurant. Main course of butter chicken was tasty and succulent. Good choice of veggie alternatives, decent drinks menu and lovely mint tea! Lovely dining experience.

I used to live in Barnes at the time of Monzil, possibly one of the most depressingly awful Indian restaurants in London, and reflect how lucky the residents of Barnes are nowadays to have Chakra instead! . In fact I travel from Twickenham to Barnes to visit, it is so good. From my experience, all the food is exceptionally tasty, and I have never been disappointed. Last night I chose the Lamb Chops for a change and they were perfectly cooked in a delicious spicy marinade, while Mary enjoyed the Prawns in a hot sauce. It is worth pointing out however that the Chef is very happy to cook your favourite meal if you cannot find what you want on the menu. All four of us enjoyed the food (and the wine!). It was disappointing to see how quiet Chakra was however and my suggestion is get down there soon! Remember, if you don't use it, you lose it!!

The owner barely acknowledged our existence, pointedly looking elsewhere as he took the order. HIs replies to questions were monosyllabic, more like a grunt than a word, and the food gives mediocre a new meaning - his recommended lamb shank looked like a rather lumpy sausage than lamb shank. I think this place may take first place for the worst service ever received. How it gets any repeat service I have no idea.

We tried some delicious small plates of tasty food, with excellent service and good value wine too - we had Carignan. Will go again.

Chakra is simply amazing. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food is a combination of high end Indian cuisine with a railway/street food theme. Very well worth a trip out to Barnes Bridge.

Yesterday was the last day for this restaurant. I have had many happy nights here. You will be sorely missed.

Staff were kind and exactly on time with my order. The food was delicious. I rang ahead while driving and they had the order waiting by the time I arrived.

After a few (or more) drinks, my husband and I were after somewhere to have a late night meal. After googling what was still open, we settled on Chutneys. We were shown to a table and given plenty of time to choose drinks and food, despite the late hour. The food was fantastic. I had a mild chicken dish (can't remember what it was called) and my husband had a whole tandoori chicken. I've never seen a dish like this in an Indian restaurant but he said it was delicious. As was the garlic naan, which was really light and not at all doughy. Really good food and friendly service.

felt I had to submit a review when I realised that Indian Gossip as a restaurant does not exist any more and the food came from a takeaway in Wandsworth. The food was so late that we drove up to Indian Gossip and it is no longer there. this was also confirmed by the driver when he bought the dishes that were missing. This shouldn't be allowed as there is no way to trace where the food is coming from surely this is wrong. Food was really not good

Replaced the brilliant Wimbledon Tandoori with a really poor alternative. Food was bland, beer was warm. Need I say more!
