It was rlly good but a bit to expensive the service was long and the atmosphere was perfect

Best Indian restaurant I've ever been to. I'm a repeat customer, their food is out of this world. I highly recommend the chicken chaat puri for starter. Special deal for eating in on Thursdays - starter, main, side and rice or naan for £13.95.

Thursday night, Raka offers a meal deal for £15.95 which is wonderful value for your money. From the moment I walked in, I was taken care of by attentive staff, including Jimmy, who made me feel welcome and took care of me during my visit. The food was gorgeous, in fact, being a big fan of Indian, I would say my meal was easily one of the best Indian meals I have ever had.

An absolutely fantastic restaurant. The food was delicious, the were friendly and very helpful. The atmosphere was brill. Had a wicked time and already booked for another table. We had a large booking aswell and everything was smooth sailing.

I had gone in for a takeaway, when approaching the kitchen, it had smelt of cigarettes as if they were smoking inside. Very unhygienic.

Comprehensive selection of dishes, flavoursome food. We ordered Naga Special lamb, Aloo Begun, Pilau Ric, Khatta Chicken. All were delicious, the Garlic naan was really doughy in the middle but perfect around the edges. Apart from that all good

The 'good' reviews are fake ; this is one the worst restaurants in England. I have eaten all over the World, and had a huge variety of cuisines - this restaurant is appalling to the point of being disgusting ! I can provide you with the details of at least a dozen people who feel the same way. The 'Health and Safety' department and 'Trading Standards' have been made aware. Avoid at all costs - you will regret your visit, I assure you.

Poor management, terrible communication and over priced food.

We were looking forward to our curry following so many positive reviews. Overall we were very disappointed - lamb was chewy (not as advertised - melt in the mouth) and canned tomatoes was evidently used. Bombay aloo was bland and over cooked. Naan bread was anemic looking.

First time we ordered a takeaway and hubby and I were so impressed. We ordered lamb madras, which was spicy with herbs and onions and chicken chilli masala, with sag paneer, massive chunks of paneer, with Bombay aloo, targa dall and rice. This place used to be amazing, the best around. Gone right down hill. Will never, ever be ordering again. Terrible, oily, greasy food, rude staff. Such a shame, whoever now runs this restaurant has run it into the ground. I have ordered from here for 10 years and will never order again. They should be ashamed.

Lights too bright, no music , no atmosphere. Took 20 mins to make a mojito I'm not sure if the waiter was struggling with the mask or just a new starter but not great. Excellent flavours but chops were tough

There seems to be many Indian restaurants around wimbledon, but this one has really fantastic food and great service! Just the little touches that make your night, like asking me if my two year old was allowed a lolly and then going up to him and asking if he would want one. Looking forward to eating inside again once lockdown has ended, although the takeaways are still Fab :)

I ordered tonight in advance as new years eve. Told 1.20hr. After 2 hours I rang and told 10 mins. After 3 hours and constant phone calls with no answer,I got on a bus to the restaurant. Food still there and no real apology or explanation. Hence the food was cold. I was very disappointed as I love raka so was shocked at this poor service and communication.I understand being busy but just communicate this, don't ignore your customers.

We have been to Raka a few times and during the first lockdown they were amazing and now during the second lockdown they are even more amazing. Thank you so much for taking the time to cook such delicious food and deliver it to us. Stay safe

Had dinner here about 1.5 months ago. My friends seemed to enjoy their meals, however I found my lamb to be tough and bad tasting.

Our favourite Indian to order takeaway from. Honestly so yum. The meats are cooked perfectly, the sauces are scrumptious, bhajis and samosas are divine and we love trying new dishes. Honestly the best takeaway Indian ever.

Ahora podemos volver a visitar restaurantes, también hemos comido.En general, la comida que se sirve sigue siendo buena y sabrosa y el menú sigue siendo extenso. Sin embargo, no es tan interesante como hace 4 o 5 años. Todavía disfruto del Biryani y el curry de verduras que lo acompaña. Nuestros curry favoritos son Chicken Korma, Duck Sagwalla y Lamb Ragani. Best Indian around, food excellent

Simplemente dulce sin sabor en absoluto. Solía ser una salsa espesa aterciopelada encantadora y de color más rojo. Muy decepcionado. No durarán mucho si continúan así, especialmente ahora con Covid - 19.

Just had a take a way from this restaurant. Best Indian in Wimbeldon ! We visited Indian restaurants in numerous places. The food was delicious, al Dente vegetables. Fresh not oily. Despite saying it’s spicy on the menu, it was not for us. Good portion sizes. One of the best okras ever tasted.

Raka es un fabuloso restaurante indio que también ofrece un excelente servicio de comida para llevar. Los curries son ricos y deliciosos. El servicio es amable y rápido. El ambiente es encantador y son muy complacientes, incluso brindando una silla alta para mi sobrino bebé las dos veces que lo hemos traído temprano en la noche. Muy recomendable.

Hi visited here on Friday night with friends food was excellent service great also would recommend to anyone who likes traditional Indian cuisine.

Comida no tan alta y sabrosa como solía ser bajo la gestión anterior. El Korma Curry vegetariano y el Arroz con verduras que pedí para llevar no era muy bueno, ya que ambos estaban llenos de papas, aunque me había enfatizado que no quería un curry lleno de papas. Dudo que alguna vez volveré allí ya que estaba muy decepcionado con mi pedido.

Solíamos amar a Raka. Pero las últimas dos veces que ordenamos comida para llevar, la comida tardó más de una hora y media en llegar. It's a Bangladeshi restaurant. Decor and service are better than those of Brick-lane. Quality of food is not. Way overpriced for the taste and portions they serve. Not authentic Indian cuisine though edible.

A classic of the British adaptation of Indian food. I enjoyed popadoms with pickles, a mixed kebab starter followed by a lamb dupiaza with rice and sag aloo, accompanied by the inevitable kingfisher lager. All generous portions, and delicious. Although I had these old favourites, the menu had many other less familiar offerings which, based on my experience, would be worth a try. If you want a really good curry, you couldn’t do much better than this.

Esta fue mi primera vez en este restaurante seleccionado por mi compañero justo fuera de la estación de WIMBLEDON CHASE (BR). Cuando llegamos, fuimos los primeros clientes, pero pronto el lugar comenzó a llenarse. El servicio era muy bueno y la selección de comida era de muy buena calidad. Los poppadoms eran grandes pero la ensalada era un poco pequeña para ir con ellos. Teníamos el plato de carne para 2 compartir para arranque. Me esperaba un plato en el cual había una selección de carnes, como dice en el menú, pero cuando llegamos habían sido establecidos en distintos platos que no darnos la oportunidad de seleccionar nuestros favoritos sin ser avergonzados por llegar al otro lado de la mesa a cada otros platos. Mi plato era un plato de pato especial que fue increíble cuando se combina con pulau arroz y sag aloo. El sag aloo estaba cocinada a la perfección y no el que a veces sirve) en otros lugares. Mi única preocupación era la temperatura en el restaurante. Había sido un día muy caluroso, así que los dos estábamos vestidas ligeramente, pero cuando entramos en la temperatura era increíblemente baja y yo no tenía otra ropa para poner más que un abrigo al aire libre para la tarde noche de regreso a casa. He experimentado problemas similares en los estados unidos. La temperatura era demasiado frío para estar cómodo y, por supuesto, la comida se enfría muy rápidamente, lo cual es decepcionante.

We pop in here once month on a Friday and we have never been disappointed. Food is delicious, fresh and the mango lassi my favourite tipple. Although this restaurant has been around for a while the refurbished interior has kept it modern.

We come to the restaurant every few months. Every time the food is well prepared, service is friendly and efficient. The menu has changed recently but still plenty of choice. Thursday night is a special offer banquet for a fixed price; you can pay a supplement to adapt the menu.Good idea to book as it is very popular with the local community. Great takeaway too!

We have been coming here and also getting takeaways for 10 years. The food and service are always excellent. I have the chicken Rangani (or Rangini in their new menu) every time!

Food outstanding. One of the best Indians I have had in a long time. Service was very good with staff friendly, courteous and helpful. I don't often give tips but I did here. Go there you will not regret it.

On Friday evening, it was the second time that we had a nice meal with my son, Mr Tom and the lovely Polly at Raka. Well looked after by the Raka team, great food and atmosphere and a very full restaurant. Well will be back again soon!

Have been going to the Raka for several years,now under new management,sadly the quality of the food now is not so good as before, chicken not so tender,no more fresh homemade nann breads. Such a shame!

Visited the restaurant as a small family group.The building itself is one of the better looking restaurants in the area, it has an inviting modern style to it but is relatively small. The food was excellent and plentiful. We had one standard curry two house specials; Tandori lamb chops and the exotic chicken parpi masala. Both of those dishes were fantastic and the standard curry was also of good quality. The Indian wine which was recommend was of good quality and good value.Starter and dinner for three with two bottles of wine was approximately £70.Easily the best place we frequent in the area.

Food was really amazing and tasteful... lamb was cooked soft and presented in such a nice way. Definitely getting the Exotic Papri Masala lamb again.

Last minute choice as I was going to Raynes Park, glad I did. Parking was a bit of a nightmare but lovely, clean restaurant.Warm greeting, great choice of menu and quickly served. Hot and very tasty. Everyone needs a curry house you can rely on, and this is mine. I lived locally for 9 years so shopped around quite a bit, but Raka is my favourite. Staff are friendly and happy to explain and modify dishes to your taste. The restaurant has a good ambiance, helped by the dedicated takeaway property next door. Over the years I tried many dishes and found only one I did not like. Highly recommend.

I get takeaways as well as eat in at this restaurant and the food never disappoints. The menu is extensive and not your average common-and-garden curry house dishes. The Biryani is one of the best I've had. I love the duck Rangani and the lamb kalia. The curries aren't oily and you can taste the nice combination of spices. Not everything blows your head off in heat.I come here whenever I fancy Indian food for dinner.

We always get our takeaway from Raka and visit the restaurant occasionally, I consider it to be the best Indian food in the area.

I'm always in here. Luckily I live opposite. It's the best chicken vindaloo I've ever had. The staff are always very happy to see us and look after us when we eat in. They will make anything for you that isn't on the menu as well. You should really try it out.

Female waitress has no customer service skills and is rather abrupt, male waiters lovely. Food quite slow but restaurant was half full. Hoover in the way of the toilet door, bit of an obstacle. Nice decor. Onion bhajis a bit soggy, aubergine pakora bland and soggy also. Exotic massala tasty with tamarind and tender chicken. Garlic naan needed seasoning. Probably wouldn't visit again.

Raka has been our Indian if choice for several years now. We keep,trying others now and again but just keep coming back to this one. The range of dishes is extensive, the quality very high - good quality meat, sauces not as oily as some places and the service is really good tojo - whether takeaway or in the restaurant. Fortunate to have it local to us.

I visited this restaurant a few times and never has it let me down! The curries are always up to good standards and the meat is always fresh and tender to the bite! I wouldn't go anywhere else for curry ever since discovering Raka! The prices are very reasonable and the staff are so friendly and always spark up a conversation with me!

Ordered on line .Took the order and they confirmed it in an email. Nothing turned up and they didn't call or answer phone so presume they are shut even though it was during normal hours.
