Still one of the best Chinese takeaways/restaurants in south west London but it has gotten ludicrously expensive!

McChina has got a lot better than the last time I have been. The food was better, service was very good and it was reasonably priced. One of the better restaurants in the Wimbledon area. Give it a try of you've never been.

Absolutely zero spice or flavourings in their chicken/cashew which is labelled “hot” quite literally no seasoning at all.

Absolutely terrible service, unbelievably overpriced food was absolutely rubbish used to be good to say that it’s gone downhill is an understatement zero stars.

Service was very poor. My food was serviced about 15-20mins after the rest of my family and had no sauce on it ( no explanation give) tried to call staff several times to reorder a drink and ask why there was no sauce on my food ( they could not hear or see us) . We ordered ice cream 5/10 mins later we were told they did not have the flavour we ordered. One of my party ordered fritters they came back and said we would have to wait 30 mins as they were busy. Customer service was very poor and I asked for the service charge to be removed. We will not come here again. We usually order take away but my son wanted to visit the restaurant. My son really enjoyed the food. My daughter said her chicken tasted funny but that was down to her taste buds. My fish had no sauce on it. My husband enjoyed his meal

Honestly the best Chinese you’ll ever have, no exaggeration. Highly recommend the chicken fried rice, 1/4 duck, smoked shredded chicken and curries. Been going to this place for at least 15 years. But sadly, it is definitely one of the most expensive Chinese’s and cannot afford to go there as often as I used to :(

Great chinese restaurant in the area, order regularly for takeaway. Came first time to dine in, and great with children and quick hot food, took leftovers home! Firm favourite of ours

Hong Kong is my hometown and this is so authentic it brings me back home. Service is also great. This is my second time here and will absolutely be coming back.

I have been a loyal customer to mcchina for years now and can honestly say it’s one of the two best Chinese restaurants in the area. I prefer delivery at times as it’s nice not to see how slow service can be when you’re hungry and waiting in the restaurant for your food to come. Overall, the quality of food is very good. Staff listen carefully to your requests. Ambience is nice. Wait time can be extremely long but I’ll put that down to the freshness of the food. Delivery is very handy but can sometimes take longer than they initially tell you. I think they need to be a little more generous with sauces and condiments especially when making big orders I.e. duck and pancakes. I have to tell them to fill up to the top as it isn’t enough and hope I’m not charged extra. I feel certain items like seaweed (8.40£) is shockingly expensive for what it is and also things like salt and chilli chips that are almost 6£. Otherwise, staff are friendly but would appreciate to not be made to feel bad when I have an honest review about my chilli shredded beef. I am a fan of mcchina overall and always advertise it when I go. Prices have increased and some maybe not as justifiable but the food is tasty and fresh so I’ll give them that. Always happy to return.

Unfortunately way to expensive for Mediocre food Wanted to make this my go to Chinese restaurant, To be honest what i had to eat And the barely mediocre food and cheap tasting pineapple/coconut drink I felt cheated Sorry Guy's won't be returning or recommending.

Went last night as we are working at national Grid Wimbledon, the staff are friendly, the food is cooked to order and is hot, very tasty, and of excellent quality, had a lovely chat with the chef who came and had a chat with everyone in the restaurant, we are here 2 weeks each month till January 24 and WILL BE VISITING AGAIN thank you for a wonderful night out.

Had some takeaway delivered. The food was delicious. Beautifully presented. Excellent portions. Will be ordering from McChina again.

The food was tasteless and greasy, the service was kind of indifferent and it was overprice for the quantity and quality. I won't recommend this restaurant. I like chinese food and sometimes they have good services but this was a let down.

Hands down one of the best Chinese takeaway restaurants that exists. Until today I will only order my food from here. This exact branch I have been ordering food from since they opened and no other place that we have tried until today has topped their quality. The food is fresh and flavourful and worth eating. A must try and worth travelling for. Trust me! It's not too oily or fatty either! My favourite dishes have to be beef fried noodles, four seasons vegetables, lamb curry's, sweet and sour prawn balls as well as their Singapore fried rice noodles.

We have been going to McChina for over 15 years, and we can honestly say it's the best Chinese restaurant around. Even after moving away from the area, we still return here. The ingredients are fresh and selection of dishes is good. It's a family-run restaurant, and the owner always takes time to speak with the customers. This is a gem of a restaurant which I highly recommend.

Quite a good Chinese restaurant, lovely and friendly services, and the prices are very reasonable, family business, personal touch, no wonder is very good.

Have been visiting McChina for a number of years and always been satisfied with food and service. Recent visit I was shocked at prices - £4 for a sauce, £12 for chicken balls, most starters £10 and above. £100 for a visit for two with only one glass of wine each. Hitting Good Earth prices for food and setting which doesn’t quite match. Sadly will be put off a repeat visit in the near future

Best Chinese food ever.. try it

Some of the best Chinese food I have had in London. I ordered chicken satay for starters and was not expecting such a filling portion. The chicken was cooked really well and the peanut sauce was excellent. For mains I had the 1/4 duck pancakes which was also sensational duck was really well cooked. For a side I had the Chinese seasonal vegetables in garlic sauce which I would definitely recommend. Overall was a lovely experience for me and my partner.

The food is OK. However don't go there if you don't want your clothes get stinky of burned Chinese oil. There are a lot of hot sizzling dishes in the menu and if anyone orders one in the restaurant, the air gets really bad.

We have ordered takeaway from here many times, but only just recently ate at the restaurant. Knew the food was going to be top notch already, and was pleased that the whole restaurant experience matched it in quality. Heartily recommend! (The salt and chilli dishes are all fantastic, and they have the Best ribs!)

Absolutely fantastic. Ordered a delivery, arrived an hour later (during Wimbledon fortnight so can imagine they’re busy) but they did tell me it would be an hour, and food was piping hot, well packaged, generous in portion size and delicious. Will be back again and again

We absolutely love this restaurant! It is our go to on a Friday evening with family and friends! We’ve ate both at the restaurant and also ordered a takeaway! The takeaway always comes hot just like it was served in the restaurant and is absolutely delicious! We have been going to this restaurant for over 5 years! The staff are lovely and the service is always outstanding!

The food was great, but we felt it was difficult to get staff's attention. Atmosphere was lovely looking just very load and no fresh air. But the food was lovely and staff were friendly.

Lovely members of staff from the front too the chefs, the minute we stepped in the reception was very welcoming and saw us straight away even though they were very very busy the process was quick and easy and very friendly. It was very clean and members of staff around, very big shoutout to all the staff !

Extremely good for the price! Very tasty and this is coming from a Chinese person. I think they do the Cantonese staples very well! It would be super if they branched out and did some regional stuff as this is what's missing in Wimbledon area, good quality non Cantonese Chinese food.

I order delicious food from this extremely clean restaurant which has very friendly staff with my family on a regular basis and we always absolutely adore everything we have ever ordered from here!

Great place and terrific food, not bad value either compared to some!

I did not have a good experience here. The food was disappointing and I felt expensive for the quality. The main came incorrect and once finally arrived, far too sweet and sickly. It was described as hot but had no flavour whatsoever. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very chaotic, loud parties, glasses being smashed. Service was not good. Waited 20 minutes to order, another 10 minutes for a can of coke to arrive, 20 minutes for the main which arrived incorrect and then a ridiculous 27 minutes just to pay after chasing twice. The table was being wiped down and cleaned for the next guests while we were still seated. Plenty of lovely restaurants in the area - this is not one of them.

First order - takeaway, very good, restaurant was clean. No waiting around. Will be back for sure. Hopefully next time will be just as good.

First time at the restaurant. We ordered the lunch time deal menu. It comes with a main course with rice, a side and a drink. All for £12.50. Good value and the food was yummy! Portion size was decent. The chefs were very friendly and they came out from the kitchen to say hi to the customers. As there were three of us, we ordered 3 sets of the deal to share: Sweet &Sour Pork Hong Kong Style with Egg Fried Rice + Chicken Wings, Four Seasons Seasonal Vegetable with Fried Noodles + Prawn Toast, and Prawn in Spicy Garlic Sauce with Egg Fried Rice+Barbecue Spare Ribs. We didn’t realise that the restaurant would close at 2.30pm. We came late and ordered around 1.30pm. The food came very quick but we felt a bit rushed to eat up and the staff was keen to clean and tidy up. We will definitely come back again.

McChina is one of the best Chinese restaurants you will find in the area. The food is cooked wonderfully and the starter hot box is so good. The dry bbq ribs are amazing and the service is wonderful as it is a family owned business. They care about you as a customer and its a nice restaurant with no rush. This type of restaurant is a golden nugget in the Colliers Wood / Wimbledon area. Definitely worth a visit. Good prices, good food and great service.

Excellent fresh tasting food. Ordered for 9 of us and we loved it! Loads of ingredients, not just sauce. Everything was packed so nicely for takeaway. Delicious prawn crackers too. Will definitely return.

The staff maintained their smiles and friendliness despite the rush from Year of the Rabbit diners. The service was slow , probably as a result of the rush. When 2 staff collided with a crash of broken glass over our table and 2 of us the staff leapt into action , replacing our Duck , offering free drinks and a free dish of Mongolian lamb which was very tasty. A warning: tables nearer the kitchen should be avoided in cold weather as they can be subject to an icy blast from the doors- this might be a benefit in hot weather of course

Ordered take away and delivery came promptly. The food was truly bad. Ingredients were cheap, tasted bland at best and chemical at worst. Sauce was practically fluorescent in colour. It was inedible.

I love McChina! The best Chinese around, the food is alway fresh, hot and delicious. The staff are lovely. We travel around 40 minutes to get from here because it’s the best one and worth the travel! Top job guys!

Order takeaway waited 2 hours for it to be delivered, they never answer the phone not great service ! When food arrived it was awful worst Chinese I have ever had £60 on Chinese and no one ate it

Absolutely beautiful food Iv never had such a wonderful Chinese and iv been to China over 15 times. The food is a bit more expensive then a regular Chinese but worth every penny. The staff are wonderful and very attentive. Again I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone. Beautiful

Been looking for a good Chinese takeaway since moving to Battersea and I've found it. Really good food, great portion sizes and great delivery service. Will definitely be ordering again and recommend anything 'salt & chilli', really good.

Wonderfully clean restaurant with an open view of the kitchen. Great staff and the food is excellent. Can not recommend this place highly enough. They also do a take away menu.

Bought a selection of dishes for a family birthday meal. Food came promptly and nicely packed in a cardboard box. We ordered chicken wings which were well received by the elders who enjoyed them with relish. The vegetable spring rolls were crispy and tasty. We ordered s mixture of noodles and rice and meat and vegetable dishes. All went down very well by each member of the family. Food stayed hot for a long time and there was enough for left overs despite us eating our fill. Having enjoyed a number if takeaways from here I'm hoping to eat in the restaurent soon.

Not the easiest place to park near, however the food is worth the hassle. Service can be a bit slow at times, the food was well cooked. My only complaint is I like hot food on hot plates, otherwise the food goes cold very quickly.

Slow service for collection orders. Had to wait for over an hour from placing the order on the phone when they initially advised that it would be ready in half an hour. They’re quick to take your payment but make you wait for your food. In the meantime, the staff at the front desk repeatedly ignore phone calls. Terrible service.

My grandparents have been ordering from McChina for years, and since I moved in with them it's the only Chinese I've had. It's amazing every time, sometimes a little greasier than others, but always fast, hot, and lovely people on the phone and on delivery!

I had seen a lot of people recommend this place and it was quite busy both in the restaurant and for takeaways. Unfortunately I found the food well below par for Asian cooking. The spring rolls, although beautifully crisp, were under seasoned and tasteless. The chicken and sweet corn soup was very thick (not really soup) and again bland / tasteless. The main I had was a Singaporean something. It was OK, but I’ve had much better elsewhere. Very disappointing and won’t be going back.

The food here is ok but they have a habit of saying food will take an hour for delivery and takes two hours so don’t order here if you are hungry and want your food hot and delivered in an hour

Good food and fresh. Great service although just slightly slow as it is a family run business so be sure to wait for your food but it is good. Some dishes a bit salty. Not sure if they use MSG in their food like most Chinese takeaways do as this is the way to cook food. Anyway will ask them next time. Generally a good place to eat and found the veggie food really good that day. I am yet to try their meat dishes but will leave that for another time!

Parking can be a little trying but it's one of those places that it's worth the trouble. Prawn toast was very good service is good

Been using Mcchina for donkeys years on and off, ordered Singapore noodles,stir fried King prawns with mushrooms and stir fried chicken with peppers and blackbean sauce. We were quite impressed with the food and was very tasty. Delivery was about 40 minutes and the food was delivered hot, overall impressed.

First visit and will definitely come back, great quality food, best Chinese for a long time and service was excellent. Staff extremely friendly and made us welcome.

Solo vengan de McChina. Esperaba una buena cena pero, lamentablemente, una pareja joven tenía otros planes. Su noche con 3 años, que gritó durante la mayor parte de las 2 horas, fue más importante que el resto de la noche de la clientela. Lamentablemente, el personal y la gerencia no hicieron nada.

He estado comiendo en McChina desde que me mudé a Wimbledon hace más de 20 años. Es igual de bueno cenar o ser sacado. Esta vez comimos y hay una gran variedad de platos, a un precio razonable y con muchas opciones de bebidas. Teníamos pato crujiente con tortitas, pollo con salsa de frijoles negros, arroz frito especial y chow mein especial. Mi única crítica fue que el servicio era un poco lento, pero todos nuestros platos eran buenos y el precio era muy razonable.

After waiting an hour for our food to arrive on our table, we found pork in our food after specifically asking this to be removed from our order. This was written down when the waiter took the order, so there is no excuse for why this could have happened. We were told the kitchen is busy today so there has been a confusion, but this is a massive mistake for any type of restaurant to make. You cannot be running a restaurant by making such mistakes! Basically, if you have any type of food restrictions or allergies. save yourself and do not bother eating here - they are careless.

We had crispy duck, sizzling beef, vegetable noodles, rice noodles, prawn, chicken, etc. Friendly, prompt service; superb meals and comfortable restaurant. Only complaint was a lack of heating inside.

McChina offers both take away and eat in. The food is great for either and the service very friendly and fast. You won't be disappointed.

Went there last night with a friend. Ordered Szechwan chicken, roast duck and pork with rice and braised aubergine. Everything we had was so tasteless. I was absolutely surprised to see how Szechwan chicken had no chillies or pepper.

Order from here weekly for years . I’m not sure what’s happened over the last 6 months but the quality seems to have dropped, missing orders on delivery, late delivery and tried a new dish today deep fried squid was so rock hard was inedible. Phoned them up and not really interested .

the food was good, hot and brought out slowly but not to bad. We were sat near the pass, they turned the heat lights on and off which I found uncomfortable with the changing light around the table, but that's about all I can fault

Ordered before 7pm to avoid the busy period. Waited for our food 1 hour 25 mins so far....still not arrived. 'It's on its way apparently'. No delivery service should be this long. Will not be using McChina again.

Me encanta la comida china y se podía comer cada día si ella me permiten. Este restaurante es una delicia. Una china tradicional con un ambiente moderno. La comida siempre es cocinado a la perfección y el ejemplo fue la carne desmenuzada crujiente de chili. Haber padecido otro sitio con ejemplos esta era pasada crujiente, la cantidad justa de chili y aunque había un poco de salsa no ahogo el plato - encantadora.

If you are on a hurry and want something great to eat I highly recommend McChina Eating ! The food was fantastic !

Thoroughly enjoyed our family dinner out a few weeks ago. Food was lovely, service was lovely. Not a cheap meal, but enjoyable. Would recommend McChina to everyone.

We stumbled across this place by chance, but were very pleased that we did. For starters, we had spring rolls and tofu. I wasn’t overly impressed with the spring rolls as I felt they were lacking flavour, however the tofu was amazing! Very flavoursome and a large portion.

Food was very good and of a high standard and when the bill came fair value for money. Service was prompt and friendly.

Firstly don't be put off by 'Mc' - McChina is not a poor quality McDonalds style Chinese. This place is a very good quality Chinese restaurant. Had the chilli sweet n sour fried chicken and special fried rice, both delicious. Excellent customer service and atmosphere within the restaurant...highly recommended

My friend treated my family for yummy tasty Chinese ,for my forthcoming birthday. It was Saturday and restaurant was packed and their takeaway side had a que.We could see 7-8 busy on their woks.We had varieties of dishes,prawns,fish,lamb,noodles and many more,Every dish came sizzling or piping hot.Though the the waiters were rushed off their feet they still served with smile.Then our friend said she had known the Chinese owners for over 20-22 yrs.And the whole family works in the restaurant.We had a very pleasant evening and loved the food

I used to live locally and would always visit here for a takeaway. When I moved and they extended their restaurant I would still make regular visits. Having not eaten here in some time I decided to pass by. I have to say I was somewhat disappointed in the changes. The portions are much smaller and much more expensive. For example the sweet and sour chicken contained very little chicken and was bulked out far too much with onions and carrots. Very nice but I ordered sweet and sour chicken and not sweet and sour vegetables. Our starters all came separately to our children's and there was a considerable wait between us getting our starter and our children getting their soup starter! The waiting staff were hardly seen and I had to get up twice to find someone so that I could order more drinks. I asked for more plum sauce for the shredded duck and it never arrived. I asked for chilli sauce to accompany another dish and by the time it came I had finished the dish. The food is nice but for the price I would expect better quality, I don't feel it is value for money anymore and the service needs improvement. Therefore, I think this will sadly be my last visit.

Un amigo organizó una cena de Nochebuena en McChina y disfrutamos de nuestra comida. Fue mi primera visita allí. Nos tres familias (13 en total) y había reservado, así que nos quedamos bien asentado. Había un flujo constante de clientes y nos alegramos de que habíamos reservado. Había una buena variedad de platos y todo el mundo estaba encantado con su orden. La camarera y el camarero nos cuidaron bien. Tanto el personal y los cocineros estaban ocupados. Fue bueno poder ver la bulliciosa cocineros con el concepto de cocina abierta. Sin embargo, sólo soy la asignación de cuatro estrellas como uno de los principales era servido tan tarde que todo el mundo había comido cuando llegó. Pero en general, el ambiente bullicioso, deliciosa comida y un servicio amable, hizo una experiencia muy agradable. Volveré.

Visitamos con mi hija para cenar y charlar! La comida era muy sabrosa sabrosa y buenas porciones de tamaño medio. . . Algunos fuimos en una bolsa para el perro! Aunque las raciones eran geniales creo que 8 libras. 30 para una parte de brécol y 6 libras por fideos simple era un poco caro. . . ! Disfrutamos de la comida y el servicio era muy atento (cambiado por uno de nuestros platos sin problema ya que incluye fideos simple brotes de soja! ). Volveré.

We were waiting for takeaway longer that we have been told but the food was of a satisactory standard. Basically what you'd expect from your normal Chinese takeaway.
