Blue Junction Bar & Restaurant in Merton

we visited the Blue Junction on Tuesday night it was quiet but the food was delicious we enjoyed chill lamb to start and chicken tikka and lamb bhuna for main great food . would be wonderful if we could try more dishes we suggested a tapas night with little dishes might bring some more customers

I placed order for delivery after 40 minutes accepting my order they call me when my guests with me they said sorry we can’t deliver we needs to pay them extra without explanation Can’t believe it they can do this to me

Absolutely dreadful customer service, both from Blue Junction and Uber Eats. They said our order had been delivered which wasn't true. No delivery driver ever rang the doorbell. No mopeds went past our house. £40 wasted! No apologies from either company. Blue Junction basically said "We don't know where your food is and it's not our problem, bye". Don't bother ordering from here. We used to be loyal customers but not anymore. We'll take our money elsewhere. Complete scam. I'll be contacting Trading Standards in the morning.

Having had a couple of take away meals from the Blue Junction which had been of a very high quality I thought we should have a meal in the restaurant itself. The prices are higher than other Indian restaurants that we have been to, but this is justified by the quality of the food and cooking. It is probably the best Indian food I have had for many years. The staff were friendly and helpful.

My recent dining experience at the Blue Junction left me utterly enchanted and satisfied. From the moment I stepped through the door, the warm ambiance and attentive service set the stage for an unforgettable evening. To start, I sampled the King Prawns and the Aubergine chips, a must try. For the main course, I couldn't resist trying the butter chicken and mutton biriyani,Cooked to perfection, the lamb was tender and juicy. And also they telecast live sports! Overall, Blue junction impressed me with its creative fusion of flavors, impeccable service, and vibrant atmosphere. Whether you're a fan of Indian cuisine, Chinese cuisine, or both, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone seeking a culinary adventure that tantalizes the taste buds.

Best Indian restaurant. The food is amazing. We try something different each time and it never disappoints. Our usual fav of seasoned garlic prawns wasn’t on the menu but probably just switching things up. The portion sizes are very big and we didn’t over order and still had to get boxes to take away. The garlic naan bread I would go and order just that. The service is wonderful and the staff are all so lovely. We have had takeaway so many times as well the standard doesn’t change from eat in to takeaway.

The service is good and friendly. the food is not special but in general they are ok. My first visit there, as usual I let the experts give me recommend from their menu and anything I would take but a bit lower than my expectation. I would still think at least try out yourself as everyone has own taste and standard.

Beautiful food and excellent service. Some highlights - aubergine chips, fried okra and the wings are delicious. Highly recommend!

The food is so very good, really appreciate the level of effort that goes in to every dish that comes from the kitchen. The staff are so very lovely and friendly. But the overall service is terrible. We waited 2 hours for our food, which is just unacceptable. The manager, whilst pleasant, did nothing to rectify to the situation. Appreciate that Friday nights can be busy, but it wouldn't have been difficult to put this problem right. Unfortunately won't be back, but I have a mind to poach whoever in is working this excellent kitchen 👩‍🍳

After ordering chicken korma from blue junction the other day, I got such severe food poisoning that I spent the next day in A&E (where they confirmed I did have food poisoning). I had not eaten anything else for hours prior or following this takeaway and am 100% sure this was the cause. Would absolutely not recommend this restaurant.

Fabulous evening at Blue Junction for my parents anniversary. Staff were super attentive, thank you so much Natalie and David for your amazing service. Food was in a league of its own. Must try are the tandoori prawns and lamb bhuna but everything else is also amazing quality and well cooked. I’d definitely come back and highly recommend. Tryjng to find a new yummy indian with sizzlers and naga chicken and good portions and we found it at the Blue Junction .. Really good food , crispy but not stodgy naan . Tasty chicken tikka the mix grill looked amazing we having that next time We tried methi chicken and lamb naga .. both were great tasty and excellent portions Will come seems other customers loved the aubegine fingers and biriani Cant wait to return Waiter was new but polite. Too busy eating to take pictures sorry

Probably the greatest curry I’ve had in a long while and the greatest part of it was that they even served Japanese single mops. Well done. Keep it up.

Such tasty, authentic Indian cuisine! A lovely friendly atmosphere- we went with our two young children and staff went out of their way to look after us, and advise on non-spicy options for the kids. Will be back!

Just amazing evening with family and friends

Very welcoming atmosphere livelyeah and I didn't feel like I was in a restaurant that I'd never been to. They really welcomed me well but the food was fantastic and the service was fantastic too I will definitely be coming back again when my wife it was wonderful

Best place in London for authentic Indian Food, I’m a vegetarian now but have to say this is the place for the best Indian food around. The chefs and the chief (owner) brings flavours and new dishes all the time. Worth a visit.

We were hear for the first time this evening, the restaurant is beautiful with a very nice bar area. The staff are friendly, welcoming and very attentive to your every need, and the food is absolutely out of this world!! We loved it and will definitely be back soon, I highly recommend to anyone!

One of the pricier Indian restaurants in the area but usually that means the quality is good. However, the butter chicken wasn’t great and for the price it was really a regrettable purchase, chicken wasn’t tikka and the flavour is very tomatoey similar to heinz tomato soup. The lamb dish was lovely and the quality of the meat was great. Don’t think I’ll be ordering again anytime soon as was just too expensive for what we got.

Very proper indian food. Spice level is perfect balance and reminded me of just how it used to be in India as I remember it. Meat quality is good too. Well done and keep it up

Very good quality Indian food. Got a Hakka twist to it so a slight Chinese feel to some of its dishes. Chilli paneer is my personal favourite and the grilled lamb cooked perfectly (nicely chargrilled!). Really like the vibe too - classy for Morden lol

Probably the greatest Indian curry I’ve eaten in years. Perfectly cooked lamb chops, chicken, wings and the lamb Bhuna was melt in your mouth. Bursting with spices, and the gin and tonic that went with it was first quenching. Very enjoyable, great atmosphere, lively, though, very enjoyable. I’ll be back soon

I normally order from blue junction a lot and I never had an issue but this time I ordered the egg curry, oh god it was so nasty I had to throw it away and the onion bhajis Damm they were soggy, cold no taste at all. I don’t what is going on but please sort it out the food was not nice at all

Have ordered food from this place, was such a great experience that we ordered again directly the next day. Probably the best Indian restaurant that I have ever ordered from due to the great combination of fresh tasty food and portion size. Would highly recommend this place!

We have been enjoying deliveries from this wonderful place for a few years now, but this time we booked a table for a family evening. Again, we had a fabulous meal, the food was wonderful, the service was great & I particularly enjoyed the brilliant vegan options (I love their tadka Dahl!!!). It was lovely meeting David & the team, including the chef whom I thanked personally, for his cooking skills. We wanted to try out a new restaurant for regular visits and we were delighted with our experience. The food was delicious, the service very good and the staff friendly. I liked the layout and decor too.

I loved Blue Junction! It’s the best Indian place in the area and I mean that with all my heart. I’ve dedicated the last year in finding the best Indian to always be disappointed and a part of me felt like I had to just accept the fact there isn’t a good Indian place round here. Blue Junction honestly surprised me pleasantly. I recommend the Veg Manchurian and the Paneer Makhani with all my heart!

On the hunt for an authentic butter chicken. This dish was far from it. The chicken was not cooked in a tandoor as you can see from the image, it has been chucked into a pan along with the sauce which resulted in bland tasting meat. The sauce was ok, lacked flavour as all you could taste was the base ingredient, tomato. But the consistency was great. Improvement needed, definitely not an authentic dish. Very expensive for take out. Small container of butter chicken and 2 garlic naan came to £18. Charged for eat-in price.

I honestly cannot believe the response to a booking we have made for our family. This restaurant clearly restricts any young children attending therefore they should advertise as an adult only restaurant. Legally i doubt they can get away with refusing any pram/pushchair into their establishment. "Whilst we welcome families with children, we do not have any high chairs. Strollers, push chairs and the like cause us seating issues and respectfully request you refrain from their use in respect of other patrons." Quite shocking!

I always adored this restaurant and raved and recommended it to my friends and family until it happened on Mother’s Day. The hospitality we experienced was awful. We were the first to arrive, last to be served in the first set of people who came in the initial 2 hours . Very dissatisfied with the disrespect and poor hospitality given. Food was good, we were hell hungry though .

At Blue Junction, the food was authentic with just the right flavours of spices. The cocktails at Blue Junction didn't disappoint us at all. The price just doesn't justify the quantity and quality. We were extremely happy with the service, portions, quality and above all the hospitality that we received from David, the Restaurant Manager was mind blowing. We saw that every guest knew him and was greeted like family. That is what makes a place successful. The owners seem to not make any compromise with the quality be it food, drinks or their staff. Now this is the place you "MUST" visit when in London.

Excellent service, awesome food, sizeable portions, classic cocktails...what more a foodie can ask for. The location is so convenient only few steps from Morden train station. and the ambience is super happening. The staff and the Restaurant Manager, David looks after every single guest. No wonder the guests treat him like family. One of our friends from Australia recommended this restaurant to us and we are so happy we followed their advice. Update: the owner is now saying this was not about the pushchair. This is not what they said to us yesdsrday. They said we can't enter with a pushchair. They said it twice - to my husband and me separately as I asked them to repeat it because I could not believe it. Also, it was not at 6.40pm. We picked our daughter from the nearby busy bee at 6pm and came straight to the restaurant. The place looked really empty. You are not making your restaurant look better by implying the customer lied in their review. However, I can see that some other clients who left low stars also got a rude reply, so I am not totally surprised. Food was AMAZING! But the service was the opposite. My naan took 1 hour to come.

Love it when my extra naan takes 2 hours to come would defo reccomend especially if u love your chicken colder than the north pole. Thought Iceland was the only place you are meant to get cold food at. Come try for yourself!!!

Proper 5* Service and food. Very clean n cosy surrounding with a touch of privacy. Food was served with a touch of love n smiling faces. Very rare to find such a place where pride is shown on faces.

If you like spicy food, great. Mild is not mild, be warned. Not really busy but took rather a long time for our starters. To expensive for my liking.

Would recommend this cuisine to anyone.

Fantastic place to drink, eat some of the best curries and watch sports. Friendly staff and would highly recommend it.

Visited very early evening with a work colleague, so we were the only people in the place and I can’t comment on atmosphere, although the service was prompt and the staff pleasant enough. The food was absolutely excellent. Reasonably priced. I like my dishes hot and these were sufficiently spicy but not overpowering. We had the crispy bindi- completely morish and generous portion- talapa fish- again just lovely- crunchy, chewy, with hints of sweet and (?) tamarind in the sauce. The sag paneer looked slightly unprepossessing, but again was flavoursome and creamy. Some of the best Indian food Ihave eaten in a long time. Highly recommend!

Had a great meal here last night, cannot fault it at all! Incredible food, great service and definitely hands down some of the best starters I’ve had. Highly recommend the Chilli Chicken, Tandoori King Prawns and Aubergine Chips coated in garlic and chilli seasoning.

Great food, hot and always so fresh. Varied menu with favourites such as Chicken tikka masala which I highly recommend. Husband always has the lamb which is melt in your mouth tender every time. The chicken tikka cubes are amazing. We can’t wait to reorder.

I can't comment on the food as we didn't have any, me and my friend went for drinks however the food looked and smelt delicious in there and having just received a 5* food hygiene rating I will definitely want to try the food soon! The service from the staff was great, David and Kelwin were very attentive and ensured we were happy and that we had everything we wanted. The food was absolutely gorgeous, the chicken was tender, the rice was fresh and the naan & poppadoms were cooked perfectly. The restaurant is nice, Morden and spacious with plenty of drink choices and nice music. Definitely one of the best curries we’ve had in a long time and will be back again.
