Dalchini in Merton

Dalchini’s is a restaurant local to me and my family and we have loved coming here for years! The service is always great, attentive and kind. The food is really flavoursome and they have extended their menu so there is plenty to chose from. 10/10 would thoroughly recommend to all.

Lovely restaurant (I loved the interior design!) with really nice indo Chinese food. The service was also great, as our waiter was a particularly nice and welcoming. Would recommend

4.5 STARS Another one of my favourites in London! Being an Indian, finding Indo-Chinese food abroad can be a task. But Dalchini has definitely cracked it. The chef always makes sure to give us the taste we want, and modify dishes accordingly. The menu is great, with a wide variety to choose from. Quite a nice blend of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. I always find myself going back to Dalchini whenever I crave good, tasty food.

Fabulous food. Would definitely recommend and go again. Lovely looking restaurant and service was super. We had a selection of starters, main course each (the lamb Pak Choi was superb) and crispy honey noodles for pud which were super crunchy and fun. Great find.

I’m fortunate enough to live very near to Dalchini and have been going ever since it opened. This restaurant is an absolute gem, the food is unpretentious and delicious and you won’t find better service in the area. Every one of my friends who I have brought to try the food is hooked, which says it all!

An absolute gem...we love Indian cuisine and we love Chinese food, but this wonderful restaurant is creating a unique fusion taste that we've never experienced before. You HAVE to eat the Crispy Mushrooms. Perfect!

Nice overall but a couple of dishes weren’t as expected. The management were happy to let us exchange them. Starters were good, mains were very average.

It was a very lovely friends n family New Yrs lunch .. we all enjoyed the food , variety and service . I especially liked the staff as I was so late in confirming thr numbers and kept on changing it too but staff was so kind to adjust us all. Really good place , strongly recommend everyone

We have been going to Dalchini for over 20 years - that's one statement to clearly suggest how great a restaurant it is - when we discovered Dalchini, I brought my mum and dad there who loved it and last night my wife and I celebrated our 25th anniversary of our first date, and chose our favourite restaurant - 2 more statements - favourites are the chilli paneer, kung pao potatoes, lamb red chilli and the crispy mushrooms

Nice quick service. The food and the ambience was really nice. Those allergic to MSG should inquire upfront and the chef will accommodate their needs.

“Go to” place in SW London for Indo-Chinese (Hakka food).veg Hakka noodles were a stand out.

Absolutely delicious food and the staff were pleasant. The service was fast although we did go on a Tuesday in early January. I’ll be coming back again for sure as I saw many other choices on their menu I would like to try. As a vegetarian who also doesn’t eat gluten or dairy this restaurant has a refreshing amount of choice for someone like me!

The food tasted good. Some dishes better than the others but I just do not understand how you have priced your uber menu at a 30-45% price increase to your regular menu in order to circumvent the uber fees. This is really off putting and no where in London do you have to pay almost £10 for a soup!

Can't get enough of this place the food is outstanding and the service is great I came last year and just had go come back again for my birthday. The flavours of the indo chinese really hit the spot, I've travelled 85 miles for the food !!!

Wonderful local restaurant with excellent cuisine that's spicy and interesting, great paneer for vegetarians!

We visited earlier on a monday evening and booked just in case, but it was relatively quiet. Very nice setting with a calm and pleasant ambience. We had crispy mushrooms and vegetable crispies for starters - both were absolutely exquisit, some of the best starters that I have had in a long while. This was followed by excellent mains, in particular the manchuria chicken with its rich deep flavours accompanied by the burnt garlic rice and some lovely noodles. Every dish was delightful. The service was also excellent, welcoming, accommodating, and helpful. While we were there, a family of about 14 arrived without booking. Amazingly, the restaurant took it in their stride and handled what must have been an unusual occurrence for the relatively small restaurant very well. Overall, it was an excellent restaurant, one of the best I have been to in a while.

This place has the best indo-chinese food I have had in UK so far. I tried their Vegetable Manchurian(dry), Veg Manchow soup, Vegetable Gyoza and Vegetable Fried Rice. I absolutely loved every dish. My favorite has to be Vegetable Gyoza, by far the best I have had and they looked freshly prepared. Our order took quite some time to come but was delicious. Ambiance of this place is great as well. Overall a definite must visit. I will visit again for the Gyoza. Price wise I feel its a little on the expensive side, but definitely worth what we ate.

There are very few restaurants in the world that offer authentic indo Chinese food. Dalchini is a rare gem. They use high quality ingredients and offer tasty dishes that are different from curry houses or supermarket ready meals Highly recommend their chicken Manchurian and vegetable hakka noodles

It's a restaurant that reminds me of Bombay and the Indo Chinese cuisine. Second home for sure :) The ambience is good and the staff is very friendly. The food is delicious. The consistency in the taste and the service makes the place worth visiting, but do ensure to book well in prior for weekends. Thai curry and burnt garlic rice, chicken lollipops, Manchurian, Dry chilli chicken, Hunan chicken, Pepper chili paneer and lamb, chicken sweet and sour, American chop suey and aromatic duck are worth giving a shot. You can also try Squid pepper salt, Hakka fried chicken for appetizers. Certainly a must visit place if you are near Wimbledon park!

We had an amazing birthday meal here last week. Indo chinese is one of my favourite cuisines and the restaurant didn't disappoint me. I loved their starters especially soups and gobi manchurian. I like their mains as well but felt the noodles lacked flavour. Having said that I am beyond satisfied with the meal. The ambience is top class and the service is warm and courteous. We ended our meal with coconut and lemongrass panna cota- it was extraordinarily tasty.

Wonderful restaurant serving an interesting and delicious Asian fusion menu. Service was attentive, nothing was too much, in fact they went out of the way to ensure the food was perfect for us. Will definitely be returning... over and over!

Our second visit and daalchini had the perfect Indo Chinese flavours. Pepper chilli paneer is not your usual chilli paneer but different in a good way. Chilli garlic noodles and veg manchurian were also great. The parantha felt like one of those frozen brands but I'd still give the place a 5 star for the overall experience.

Lovely little restaurant, close to the tube and bus stops. We had lamb with red chilli and Hakka Chilli chicken. Both were lovely and flavoursome. We had one rice between us with Hakka Aubergine as a veg. All lovely and we will come back again.

This is our 7th time to Dalchini. We reserved the table two days back. The food was very good and had generous portion. The reason I have rated service 3 star was that they did not provide us the full desert menu, only special expensive menu. We love their banana fritters and ice cream and we had to ask for it.

We went for dinner. Was told it was very good and was hoping to try some good Indo Chinese but felt disappointed. The mock tail was a rip off for 8 £ such a tiny glass- very average. The starts were good but tiny portion. The main was a big let down. The Thai red curry was very average ,the rest also don’t taste good. I will not be going again for sure . I hope they look into this and improve their taste and quality if they charge this much.

It was our first time to the restaurant. They have a very welcoming staff make sure to have a reservation as they get really busy. The food was very good and was truly to the word being the very unique experience.

It was more expensive than what was shown on open table. It took a long time for us to receive mains. Food was bland. It didn’t give us the wow factor to return.

Went for my Birthday dinner to this restaurant and absolutely loved the food and the ambience. Undoubtedly, one of the best Indo-Chinese restaurants in London. The food tastes exquisite and is worth every penny. The food portions were pretty decent and every starter can easily serve two people. Must visit if you love Indo-Chinese cuisine.

Highly recommend the Dry Gobi Manchurian, Egg Fried Rice and Veg Manchurian- my go to place for indo Chinese! They got to know it was my birthday and gave us a Tiramisu on the house! Thank you Dalchini for a livery evening!

This is simply our favourite restaurant! The food is like nothing else we have tasted anywhere. We are vegetarian and recommend the crispy mushrooms, the ginger paneer and the Manchurian dishes, but everything is fantastic. The service is superb and very friendly. It is not particularly expensive. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Quality of food has dropped so much. May be they have changed chef. Ordered dry chilli fish but something else was delivered. They were very kind to change it immediately. There was so much salt in the chilli fish, salt and pepper squid , chicken lollipop and shredded lamb that we couldn’t eat it.

The food is excellent and the service is personal in this small restaurant and you are looked after like family. The mocktails need a better range and this is the only pick for whatever is a flawless delivery.

Tasty food and friendly service. The desserts were a bit pricey for their size, however, they were flavoursome. The toilet is clean.

Ordered online, supremely overpriced, not worth wasting the money at all. Tiny portions for spending nearly £40 for only 3 things. Not fresh, weird old, soggy oil taste, I requested them to not make it spicy and just keep it mild, totally ignored the request.

Visited for Father’s Day. Brilliant service friendly staff. Delicious food enjoyed the spicy chilli lamb, soothing clear fish soup crispy Goni Manchurian. Enjoyed the different textured budha curry . Loved the varieties of desserts not heard off and out of the world in taste. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Will definitely visit again. They have interesting offers as well.

Authentic and tasty Indo-chinese food! The food tasted exactly like in Kolkata which is considered the home of Indo-Chinese food. Stumbled upon this place while in the neighborhood. Right opposite Wimbledon Park tube station!

Love it here. Great veggie menu. Sun was out so the front of the restaurant was all opened up on to the street. Service was speedy and pleasant. Looking forward to coming back!!

Tasty food, good friendly service. Thought the prices were a bit in the high side though but I guess that's Wimbledon for you. They do a very good set lunch menu which is very reasonably priced though.

Indubitably splendid! The culinary journey was nothing short of spectacular, from the impeccably cooked ginger-infused rice to the delectable crunch of the mushrooms, culminating in a divine finale of ginger ice cream that left my palate thoroughly satiated. The amalgamation of flavors in the tipsy blend of Drunk& Drive was a true delight. My sincere gratitude to Daichini for this gastronomic indulgence. Bravo!👏

Amazing authentic Indo-Chinese food. This is our go-to stop whenever we come to London. Great staff and service as well. They are prompt and the establishment is well maintained.

Excellent , the waiters there were really nice and they did a great job. The food came pretty quickly and was very tasty. It had a nice and calm atmosphere and a place i would definitely go again and recommend for other people.

Food was fantastic. Paneer starter I'd definitely recommend, quite spicy so watch out. Kung poa and the to order curry was brilliant - again very spicy but flavours were great. Come after 9. 30pm for 25% off. Staff were very attentive. Will certainly be back!
