Had an absolutely great dining experience at Ravensbury restaurant in Mitcham! The service was impeccable, especially from our waiter Nilay, who was attentive and made sure our evening was nothing short of perfect. As someone with gluten sensitivities, I was thrilled with the excellent choice of gluten-free options available. Everything was made to order and tasted divine. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great service and delicious, accommodating meal options!

Chef and the team has done a great job. Authentic taste is well preserved. Children can also enjoy. My favourite is Dal makhni. You can have it with rice, poori, parota, chapati, roti, idli and even idiyappam. Who though one dish would unite all the states. I'm loving it.

Can't thank Nilay and the staff enough for making a funeral reception for 60+ people so effortless. Pre-event organisation was totally on point. The venue was clean and tidy, service was excellent and everything was well organised on the day. The huge amounts of food was delicious and thank you for dealing with the unexpected "Vegans" on the spot and with ease. Thank you for the perfect ending to a great event. Thank you for allowing me to have the perfect "After party for a day to celebrate the life of my late father".

We recently had a birthday celebration here and the quality of the food remains consistently excellent. The menu appears to have been simplified over the years which is not a bad thing but the portion sizes were smaller than in the past. However, we would still come back again and definitely recommend the Chicken Lollipop, Masala Mogo and Kadai Chicken as the stars of the show. We were served by Nilay, Andre and Husna who were incredibly attentive and accommodating to our requests. Thank you!

Excellent atmosphere, food and service was the best of all by Nilay, who looked after us all the time to bring starters, main and deserts on time with care.

A great place, love the decor and the staff were all very friendly. They accommodated us as a group of 16 and couldn't of been more welcoming. Especially loved happy hour with 2 for the price of 1 on cocktails and mocktails. Will definitely be returning with friends and family.

Had a takeaway as I have heard goof things about the food but I was so disappointed! Ordered a chicken biryani, Singapore fired rice and aubergine curry. The chicken biryani did not smell good, it had burnt pieces of chicken (please see the photo) and didn't taste great. The chicken Singapore friend rice was ok, not great, had a lot of fried egg and very little chicken! Will not be ordering again!

Good food. The portions were rather big, we ended up over ordering. Perhaps little help on portion sizes and pointing out that we were over ordering would have been useful.

The service at Ravensbury was impeccable, and the food was amazing. I had booked very last minute, less than 48 hours, for 20+ guests and they accommodated with no issues at all. The manager Steven was great, as where Hassna and Andrei.

Excellent customer service. We went on 22nd April evening and the two gentlemen who served us were just brilliant. Food is very nice as well.

Had an impromptu visit last weekend. First impressions weren’t brilliant. Having looked at the menu there was no clear indication of any vegan dishes, only vegetarian was marked. Then when a waiter came over, he advised us what dishes were vegan or could be made vegan. We ended up having a very delicious meal. I had salt and pepper okra to start and the tardka dal main. Couldn’t fault them for flavour, really nice. Our waiter Nilay was so lovely and attentive.

Called a little in advance (15 mins) to check we didn’t need a booking on a Saturday night at 7pm ish. They said as it’s just two people they could ‘easily accommodate us’. Seated comfortably and waited on pretty much straight away by a gentleman called Nilay Patel. He was knowledgable, funny and attentive. Both food and drink were 5*. We ordered a few Pan Asian dishes from the menu. Nilay suggested an alternative dish to one we had chosen, suggesting the succulence of the meat to be superior so we went with his recommendation. We were not disappointed in a single detail. We will be back again!

The food here in 2021 - 2022 was so good, so l came back again in 2024 for my for my husband BD to buy takeaway. The Chinese food l bought was so awful and outright tasteless. l was so disappointed that l really wish l went to my local Chinese food takeaway. l believe the chef has changed since 2022. Please do not buy Chinese food here, thank you.

The food was amazing the Customer Services was excellent. Good size portions. The calamari was the best I have had considering I dine in Michelin star restaurant..Raul served us and very good at explaining the different types of dishes

Good food, the restaurant was quiet but there was an Easter event for the children in the other section which was lively. The food was good and I've been a few times so would recommend. Service can be a bit slow but not painfully so.

We came here with our 1yr old and what an amazing experience. The staffs were so lovely and accomodating with our little one. They entertained her. The cherry on the cake was the food. Woooowwww food was beyond 5* really fresh and scrumptious. André and Nilay were really warm. They made sure we enjoyed dinner throughout with our little one. Will definitely come back with family and friends more often. Totally worth it.

Went to Ravensbury after almost a year as a party of 4. The food was excellent for which the chef has to be much appreciated. The spiciness and taste was perfect and to our liking. The service by front of house person was also of high quality. He catered to our every need and ensured that we had a great experience.

I had to explain how the hairs found in the food after finishing more than 90%of the food and why not before!!! That means I should have checked all food before started eating !!! Isn’t it funny Mr Manager????

Accessibility: we arrived about 6:30 and there was ample parking outside, when it gets busier there is also parking available on the main road (yellow line). Service: always on point, the gentleman how served us was very attentive and gave some good advice on what to order as well as quantities. We came with a party of 9 and the food came out very quickly. We were checked in a few times during our time there and they were very patient. Food: the food is decent m, the starters mainly are the best, we ordered a load of starters with a couple of mains. The mixed grill is great and tasty. The drinks are average and as expected but the mocktails are not the greatest. Atmosphere: they have a private dining/ events area so it gets lovely as the evening progresses. All in all a decent experience

We celebrated my mothers 100th Birthday at The Ravensbury Restaurant at Mitcham on the 17th March 2024. Mr Nilay Patel the events Manager did a fantastic job. He and his staff especially Amit were very helpful. The food was very delicious ,the starters were exemplary ,credit goes to the chef. The decorations were of high standard. We will definitely recommend The Ravensbury to our relatives and friends.

We held a 100th day birthday celebration at The Ravensbury . Nilaya from the onset was courteous and efficient as we had to plan this from overseas .On the day of the function Nilay & the team were efficient on executing the plan of the way we required the planning & decorations . Dishes were delicious.

Whilst the food was well-prepared, the service at this restaurant faces challenges, particularly in catering to large groups. Some guests received their meals late or only partially, leading to cold food. There were instances of missing orders, and drink orders were confused due to table service restrictions. The manager made efforts to assist the group, but improvements are needed to better handle large parties efficiently. The restaurant's ability to serve larger groups effectively has significant shortcomings.

I booked the private area for my partner's 40th birthday celebration, and it turned out to be the perfect venue. The VIP lounge has an extra-special ambiance for such occasions. The staff were exceptional, Becky was great! Nilay, he was incredibly flexible and made the entire process stress-free for me. Their professionalism in managing the event was great. A big thank you to Nilay for helping to make my partner's birthday truly special. I highly recommend this venue; it offers little touches that enhance the event, such as TV screens for family and friends' pictures, cozy seating pockets, a private bar, and space for a DJ. Honestly, it's a fantastic venue for celebrations. The food was beautifully presented, delicious, and the added bonus of delicious cocktails. Once again, a heartfelt thanks to the entire team for making this birthday celebration so wonderful.

🇮🇳 authentic food (NOT the curry house type) along with some Chinese fusion food on menu. 🥘🍗 Fantabulous food flavours for both vegetarian and meat lovers. The restaurant was busy on Friday dinner time but food arrived quickly. Sizzling brownie in dessert is a must try so save some space 😋 Nice interior and lighting 💡. Sounds leak from part hall making you feel the bass. If you want a quiet environment then avoid party evenings. Dined in for an occasion. 👩 Service was mixed experience. One who seated, took orders was excellent, the one who brought the food appeared to be rushing to leave the food on the table and ran 🙂 👮‍♂️ Security at the doors wasn't welcoming. Bouncer at a restaurant door. Possibly more for the party hall adjacent but.. 🚗 Parking on site for free but limited space. Would recommend and return. 👍 If this helps

Incredible attention to detail and a menu that caters to all tastes.

We recently hosted a 70th birthday celebration at The Ravensbury for my father. The experience we had was superb. Clear communication and planning beforehand resulted in an excellent afternoon with all our family. The buffet setup was perfect and the food on the day was delicious. All our guests were delighted with the meal in every way. The staff were accommodating to our requests and ensured that every aspect of the celebration ran smoothly. The entire staff was attentive, ensuring our guests felt well taken care of throughout the event. Would definitely recommend as a great place to hold a party, having the use of the speakers and TV screens allowed us to entertain all the guests. Special mention to Nilay Patel for his hardwork and great customer service.

This place is fantastic. I've been along twice in the last two weeks. Once with my wife for valentines day and then we brought the kids along last night for my wifes birthday. The service is so good. Their recommendations were spot on and the food and drink was top notch. We'll be back.

I booked the venue for my daughter communion from the moment I did the inquiry to planning the food choosing the food etc I was helped by a very very helpful kind manager called Nilay he went above and beyond to make our day a success I would recommend this place amazing the food was good also

Having visited the Ravensbury in December and enjoying a family meal we came back with the expectation of a nice Indian meal on a Saturday night. Sadly our experience was quite the opposite this time. The food and service was below average, we ordered the mixed grill and the Mogo to find both were clearly cooked hours ago and had just been reheated. The The chicken tikka was extremely dry and tasteless alongside undercooked seekh kebabs which were totally worn out with food colouring. The Mogo was dry hard and weary, no amount of mint sauce or chutney could revive it. Won’t be visiting here for a long while.

Food was overall very nice minus 1 or 2 dishes that were lacking in flavour.

This place is such a great find! This was my second visit as my first was unplanned and on that occasion I was blown away by the quality of the food and I have been in the food industry for years! The best egg fried rice that I have ever tasted!! and the prawns were so juicy and delicious! I shared with friends at the time and they agreed. The service was very good, the staff are very professional, hospitable and accommodating. The restaurant is clean, decor is lovely and the toilets were also very clean. I live on the opposite side of london but I will be returning to this restaurant soon.

altgough the look of the restaurant is posh, the service was quick but some staffs need to provide better customer service. And food wise: strawberry daiquiri is too sweet nice watermelon mocktail spirits' prices affordable no difference in taste between chilli paneer and mogo masala, quiet disappointing nice tempura prawns and excellent cheese naan, eventhough couldn't find cheese in there. chicken briyani got too much ghee, not satisfied at all Singapore chicken fried noodles got me into diarrhea for 2 days

Delicious authentic Indian food as always at Ravensbury. Staff is friendly and ambience enjoyable. Definitely recommend.

Been here a few times but this time felt rushed and food was very spicy. Also portion size is quite small for the amount charged compared to other places. Otherwise a good place to have a family get together meal or dinner party. Their chilli garlic Mogo used to be good but the recent one was very dry and not served with any sauce.

Have been there for food & drink, they have a shisha lounge, as well as a bar and restaurant, which can hold a large mass of people in which on both side, as the doors are very thick you can barley here the music from the bar area as well, so you can eat in comfort, i would say that the toilets do need a serious look at. But all-in-all, a very nice a place to go. 💯👍🏾

Reservation made for Christmas Party. Unfortunately, when we arrived host informed us they called mobile to cancel/confirm prior. Booking made online and Manager still had details of booking made with confirmation reference. Host eventually offered us table for 2130 hours. While waiting ordered some bottles which were overcharged due to miscommunication. This was sorted by Management. Eventually sat down to eat and was met by a rude waitress. This lead to host and waiter serving us. The waiter was amazing had a good laugh and made up for waitress poor manners. Fast table service with a smile and very professional. The host acknowledged mistake and went above and beyond to try and rectify. Can only appauld hard efforts!. The food was amazing, venue is beautiful and even though, there were some issues. They made efforts during busy Saturday night to try and fix it. Special mention to Host and Waiter (shame we did not get names), you made the difference! And made up for waitress poor engagement and rudeness.

The food was average apart from the lamb chops, which were very good. The cocktails seemed to be lacking any punch, alcohol content seemed to be low. We arrived at 8:45pm and were put under pressure to order and finish our meal as they were closing at 10pm. Unlikely to visit here again!

Very tasty and pleasant atmosphere.

Nilay was very attentive made great suggestions for vegan options. The food was delicious, especially the kale and sweet potato chaat and happy hour for cocktails was very welcome. Portions were large and we had to take some away. All in all a great evening!

Excellent place and lovely food

Food was amazing. Good portions, lovely flavours. Atmosphere was great, lovely lighting and a really high quality feel. The staff couldn’t be more attentive and the place was extremely busy with an 18th party at the time. Despite this, we still felt adequately catered for. I would highly recommend to anybody considering! I will definitely be back!!

Justeat will not refund and ravensbury will not refund meanwhile I have no food and lost money. Resturant uploaded order to collected when I did not. They said they would cancel, no refund give. I spent my birthday in the restaurant and an event in the same venue. This is the second visit for me, food is absolutely tasteful and great portions, cannot find fault with the menu or prices. Wonderful restaurant for all the family. A tip from my own personal experience; if you see the same culture eating from a restaurant, know the food is good 👍🏼

Very good food and good selection. Been here several times and food has been really good. Service can be hit and miss but that's the same at other restaurants also.

Food was amazing. Probably one of the best butter chicken, chicken lollipop and kebab I had in a few years. Nilay was really friendly and helpful. Will come back again.

Thank you for letting me host my friend’s baby shower back in September. Everything was amazing from service to food and the amount of food we were given. I totally recommend for small to medium gatherings.

Cocktails, noticeable Warterd down, make your own cocktails at home, you'll get Outstanding results at home, compared to here, waiteres services was good, she was patient, We paid the bill individually, with each person payment included a portion of the service charge, which was quite high ,bill still wasn't clear, Look like they included payment for the so called free two shots I complained for to try and make the cocktails marginal ok, and there must of been so additionally unknown charge, how can three accountants come to the same amount , but the bill is still owing, Don't buy cocktails here, And your double shots are really like one shot,. And watch what you pay for, So Stay home !

This is a lovely venue. I attended a function that was held there and the venue is a good size with a nice out door space with gazebo. The food that was served for the function was lovely and tasty and the staff were very helpful.

We came here by accident after mistaking the restaurant for another place we had visited nearby a few years ago. We were very happy we made such a mistake as the food was absolutely superb. Extremely tasty, well spiced and served by very friendly serving staff. I highly recommend it, and we will definitely be coming back soon.

First time dining at the ravensbury. Pre-booked online. Arrived about 8pm. First impressions when walking through the door, good atmosphere. Staff showed us to our table. Was given menus. Ordered a cobra beer and a cocktail. The cocktails were 2 for 1 for a short while. Ordered starters. Was asked if we wanted to order mains as well or wait till later, which was good as most places want to take your order in one go. I can't fault the food at all it was great! Starters and main courses. The service was great. Staff came over every now and then just to see if everything was ok or if we needed anything. (No hovering over you.) The only thing I will say which let them down was the music. The first ten minutes of entering,the atmosphere was good music playing great! Until someone asked to put the sound on to watch the football. I didn't come to a lovely restaurant to watch or hear football. That should be left for the bars and pubs. Prices above average but worth it as it's somewhere you wouldn't go often. Thank you.

First time here and was rather apprehensive about trying something from somewhere so uncaribbean but I was pleasantly surprised. The service was good but the meal was even better. Even more welcoming, the utensils and and plates were not raw... a huuuge plus. I think I may return.
