The best restaurants serving Default food in Highgate Haringey London

Be careful. Used to love this place but tried ordering last week and the food never arrived. Walked down to the restaurant at weekend and they have clearly shut down! Lost my money and didn't get the food!

A great place after a day's photography. We chose it because one person needed gluten free. Great menu, lovely food friendly and attentive staff.

One of my two favourite Indian restaurants, the other being Yatri in King's Cross. The food at Bengal Bertie's is simply amazing AND for London reasonably priced! Love this restaurant!

I’ve loved this institution for many years & had many great meals there. Today though we ordered a chicken tikka masala which traditionally involves the meat being cooked over coals. Instead of that though they put a load of paprika in the curry which frankly resulted in neither an authentic or enjoyable element to an otherwise great meal.

As a local, I would love to give this venue a 5 star review but I had my son’s birthday party over the weekend and it was a disaster. The cafe was super busy and it’s the same staff that is trying to serve people in the cafe that is managing the events. The manager was super nice to deal with before and after the party but he was MIA during. It was extremely stressful and I would not have another party here. The food was nice though.

Good array of food which is better than the normal Indian 'standard'

This is a super atmospheric cafe, it's very much a study-in-a-coffee-shop kind of vibe! It's got a really nice view from the window where you can see everything going on outside. It's often busy since it's located close to a couple of schools, but it's a great place to go to on the weekends, in my experience. The food is great, but super expensive! I don't go regularly, but sometimes will get a nice cinnamon bun which I highly recommend ;)

I came here for a Sunday roast on the recommendation of one of my friends - but the roast was probably the worst I've had since I was at school! We both had roast lamb which was fatty, tough and rather tasteless. Extremely disappointing and I won't be visiting again. The outside area at the back is quite pleasant.

Tenía una hora que matar, así que fui a comer algo y a probar el vino. El lugar es compacto pero está bien equipado con bar, comedor, buena selección de vinos y sala de actos en el sótano. Me dieron un buen toque de una selección de vinos, tapas y pasta de champiñones muy sabrosa. Una manera muy agradable y agradable de pasar el tiempo mientras esperaba que mi esposa terminara lo que estaba haciendo un sábado por la tarde. Definitivamente visitaré de nuevo.

Having recently moved to the area, Cocoro was one of the first places I wanted to try - I loved the idea of combining a Japanese restaurant and deli. We tried a donburi and chicken katsu curry and were impressed: great quality of food and amazing portions, especially on the curry. The only downside was on another occasion I ordered to collect, and the miso soup had been sitting in the bag with the sushi for a while so warmed up the sushi slightly.

Popped into Caffe Eraldo today for a takeaway order just at closing time expeciting to be met with a 'sorry we're closed' message, but was greated with a smiling gentlement who got everything out of his fridges to make up my order. The food was also again delicious so highlty recommend.

Very friendly and welcoming arrival. Easy ordering, fast service, good food, well presented. Clean and tidy. Exactly what you would expect of a traditional high street cafe, sadly disappearing.

It was absolutely awful! The oldish woman was there cooking, NOT welcoming at all. I waited for a few minutes but nothing happened so I said “excuse me” ( I thought she didn’t notice me although I said “hello” when I went in” She looked back and said “WAIT” I wasn’t happy her reaction but finally ordered and paid. I took my stuff and said “Thank you” but she didn’t say anything and walked off! I’ve never had this kind of service from anywhere else! So I’ve never go back there and surly I’ll pass to all my family and friends. I wish she’s gone!
