The best restaurants serving Default food in Beccles North Waveney East of England

Very slow service, I walked in, was the only person in there I ordered only chips and gravy a peas, then a lady walked in and ordered followed by a man who said he's picking up a phone order, waited a few minutes for fresh chips and then they served the man before me, quite a big order but they waited for his fish to finish before serving him but made me wait just for chips, always like that there

Pleasant enough stay. Rooms mostly clean but extremely dated. Nice powerful shower, which was appreciated but the shower cabinet itself a bit old & yukky. Good hairdryer, but no plug near the mirror. Delicious full English breakfast but really tough ‘slow roast pork’ for our evening meal. Even a steak knife struggled and the crackling was impossible to cut. I’d say ‘dog tolerant’ rather than ‘dog friendly’. Would I return… probably not; but that’s just my personal point of view.

Oh dear,should have left straight away when looking at the menu which was like looking at a well worn and grubby Spanish plastic leaf poor effort I asked for a glass of house red,served like it came out of the fridge, décor was so tacky and really out of the late 60,s /early 70,s Prawn and mussels pasta dish ,grit from mussels The 3 prawns in the bowel were like chewing on rubber Finished with tiramisu (allegedly) home made I don't think so,so chilled and watery at the base . Very definitely will not be going back

We’d walked along the river from Oulton Broad (10 miles). Had lunch in town and bought a few essentials, before heading for the station. With 40 minutes to wait, we’ve rested our feet and ordered a coffee each from the station cafe. Great customer service, great coffee.

Went in Monday with our baby granddaughter. What a lovely place. Very friendly. I had BLT which was delicious. Bacon was crispy and tasted amazing! Hubby had chicken and bacon wrap which was also tasty. Would definitely recommend

Amazing service, friendly staff. Served quickly, and the food was great. Crispy and soft chips with a nicely spiced sausage.

This is a regular destination for us. Once a month we collect about 15 meals for the workforce. The fish is good quality, the chips are a good potato variety and all cooked to perfection. Friendly and helpful staff too.

It’s over 4 years I order from India Gate and it’s always great! I always get my food delivered or I collect I’ve actually never sat down but I always see the place very busy. The vegetarian food is amazing, the food always arrive piping hot and I can pay by card at the delivery I love it. My favorite take away in beccles!

Twyfords Cafe is set in an old tailor’s shop, which gives it a nice quirky vibe. It’s a cool place to sit for a while. Service was very average, though — just going through the motions, and there was little warmth or personal touch. I had the meatballs on toast, and my wife had the rarebit; both dishes tasted nice, and the salad on the side was tasty. That said, for the price, and the ingredients used, it didn’t feel like great value. We had higher hopes and, to be honest, probably wouldn’t rush back.

Walked into the pub to be greeted with a hello, asked at the bar " Do we order here and can we go and sit in the garden at the back" didn't end up sitting in the lovely secluded garden as we got talking to the Publican who was so very helpful and chatty. We had the Fish and Chips which was lovely a decent portion and reasonably priced for the area.

The food was excellent and the location was lovely by the river with boats going by. The staff were. Or so good, unfriendly and blunt when asked a question. Think they need more training in customer skills.

Food came to 29:10 and delivery driver didn't have 90p change

First time (and last) trying this takeaway. Hot and sour soup very sugary inedable, cleary mass produced. Rice was bland with an aftertaste of overused oil? Mushrooms hot but no flavour and chicken greasy but ok, sweet and sour sauce awful! Sticking to Superfry or Pagoda from now on. Chips were lovely!

Had a Sunday lunch in here with my partner on Easter Sunday. Absolutely fantastic food with a great range of drinks to choose from at the bar! Can’t recommend this place highly enough. If you haven’t had a chance to get down and give this place a look since they reopened make sure you do!

This is a regular stop off for us...the pizzas which come with a drink are always good value and tasty option. The refillable coffees work well for us. Staff always pleasant, and the layout of the pub works well with lots of individual areas, which can make it feel quite cosy, especially in winter. We will keep returning based on experience.
