Best Chinese takeaway in the area.

1. Food was great. 2. Service was shocking - 6 of us placed an order for almost £100, they advised delivery was going to be a long time so we went and collected. 2 dishes/£16 worth of food were found to be missing, so we called and they denied it, 'those dishes are in foil' - none of the dishes we ordered were in foil... 3. The order takers were apologetic which was good, the kitchen wouldn't have a bean of it. 4. They eventually agreed to provide the missing dishes, but would only send the dishes to us if we agreed to pay the £6.00 delivery charge. 5. No prawn crackers were provided - not the biggest issue in the world, but if I spend £20 in my local Chinese, they give a free portion. To sum up, the food was actually very good (it would be, when you're hungry!), just a shame we had to keep it warm for well over 1 hour plus whilst waiting for what we'd already paid for to arrive. Totally acknowledge it was the day before NYE so they would have been busy, but it won't have been the first Saturday they were busy.

Food is bloody brilliant I would give more stars if I could, me and my family love here so much our go to takeaway. The professional young man who answers the phone is very kind, full of enthusiasm he is a real cutie would smash . Only thing is wish they would deliver further away.

We had a takeaway on Saturday and it was excellent. My order was taken by a very professional young man and the food was ready at the ordered time. Every dish was tasty, hot and of good portion size. We have always gone to Superfry and we’re a little worried when it was taken over a couple of years ago that the quality would deteriorate. The food is even better than before and I look forward to my next meal.

I’ve tried the pork chow mein with gravy at every single Chinese in Beccles and surrounding areas, and nothing comes close to theirs. I had one again last night, I literally inhaled it and if I could’ve chopped it into a line, I’d probably have sniffed it in one go. Yum! 🤤

In Beccles for a short break, so thought we’d try a Chinese take away. Chose Superfry, and it was a good decision. Food fresh hot and tasty, and really good home delivery. The girl was quick and efficient with the delivery. Recommended .

This place went downhill when it changed owners, but it's back to its former glory now, if a little bit more expensive. Everything is these days though! Great food

Love it, been ordering from here for a long time. The food is definitely worth the money you pay because it is delicious and good quality. When I get a delivery on Saturday's, the food always comes hot and the waiting time isn't too long considering how busy the shop can be. For me, my go to Chinese and won't stop ordering from here. Really one of the best in the area.

We ordered our food from super fry who we have used for many years at 7,10 for a 8.10 delivery time, I phoned three times due the food not arriving, at 9.20 I phone again to be told the had been knocking on the door 5 times, we were keeping an eye on the door but they never tried to deliver, Also when I rang they told me never to use them again, Bungay Chinese or Win Lee in Poringland are serious better people to buy from

I have been using this Chinese for a few years now. Honestly cannot fault them. Very quick and efficient, and tasty food, too. I would recommend the R7, if you like lightly spiced chicken! The best in Beccles!

Had a great meal from Superfry last night. Delivery was prompt. The food was beautifully prepared, plentiful and hot. Also reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend.

Left one star because you have to as a minimum would be no stars if possible. Telephoned my order through for delivery at 5pm for delivery. The person on the other end sounded so depressed i was concerned for their welfare. After an hour or waiting was told it had just left the shop. after another 49 mins with no food rung again and was told it had just left the shop. 15 mins later i called and cancelled the order having waited almost 2 hours. Never used this takeaway again, however they clearly don’t need the custom. Will never ever use again. Shocking.

Decent option for Chinese food in Beccles. Had mushroom chow mein, vegetable fried rice and sweet and sour king prawn balls last time I went. Phoned ahead and it was ready to pick up in 10 minutes. They have no seating so you cannot eat in. You can park down the road without too much hassle. Not to be confused with the superfry chip shop in Worlingham, which is owned by the same family and is also very good.

My go to Chinese takeaway, the food is always great, with Crispy Chilli Beef, Salt and Pepper Chicken, Peking Chicken and and Egg Fried Rice our usual go to. The food is always delicious and some of the best chips I've had from a takeout also. We usually collect and 90% of the time its very quick but even on busier nights food is ready when they say, the staff are always on it. Even friends we have over say how good the the food is compared to others. Couldn't recommend more!

The food was delivered promptly which was good considering we were in a remote location and it was pitch black outside in pouring rain. The food was plentiful and absolutely delicious. It was also still hot despite the long journey!

What is it with Beccles. Every takeaway including this one comes up with a nice menu, then they add a pound of sugar to everything?! It doesn't matter what you order, its full of sugar. and they are all the same here! Even the curry tastes sweet! Need a proper authentic Chinese in Beccles. Smh.

Always used superfry for Chinese takeaway and it was great, always well cooked totally delicious. It changed hands and is under new owners. First time it was disappointing, but thought new people, give them a chance, not fair to judge on one experience. Tried again yesterday and just as bad if not worse. Sesame prawn toast overcooked, sweet and sour king prawn balls crunchy definitely overcooked. Unfortunately won't be going back.

Ordered a small order, paid extra for delivery on New Year’s Eve, waited nearly 4 hours and eventually had to go up there and ask where our order was. It turned out it had been sitting on their counter for about 3.5 hours but no one had bothered to deliver it literally a two minute WALK down the road. We weren’t offered any money off the bill or anything for the inconvenience. Avoid.

Disgusting, extremely salty and inedible food. I will never order again from here. I am yet to find a Chinese takeaway that pleases me in England.

Excellent quality food, fast and friendly service, tastiest takeaway in the town.

Ordered and was told it would be 2 hours (after telling them our entire food order), not ideal but it was a family birthday so agreed. After an hour they called to say they didn't know who took the order, but couldn't deliver to our address (just under 4 miles away!)! Wasted an hour that we could have spent looking elsewhere or cooking, ended up with a quick salad from the fridge! Not recommended.

Me and my family ordered from here less than half an hour ago and it was awful. They got some of the order wrong. The mushrooms in the chicken curry tasted rotten and the chicken tasted slimy. The rice was sticky and all stuck together and the curry was very bland. Somehow the chow mein was very dry and lacked any flavour too. I ordered salt and pepper chips and instead was given battered chicken bits that was covered in an overbearing flavour. The prawn crackers tasted like damp and they were soggy and smelt like sawdust. Will never order from here again sadly.

Our first takeaway since lockdown.. Food was hot, arrived on time and was extremely good. Just remember you need to pay cash.

First visit and last. Food average but quality of chicken not great, certainly not the best I've had. Service was terrible. Told one price on the phone but person collecting for me was charged an extra £7. No apology when called just that we had been charged correctly even though she gave us a third figure different to what we paid.

Hands down the best Chinese takeaway in the area, in fact it's probably the best Chinese takeaway I've ever ordered from; everything you order is so we'll prepared and tastes delicious and the staff are very friendly. I'm an especially big fan of the capital spare ribs, the salt and pepper squid (amazing!) And the BBQ pork with Hoi sin sauce (hands down the best I've ever had). So if you're undecided which take away in Beccles to order from, pick this one!

Takeaway this night was with our son I called after an hour to be told it’s on its way which was a lie !!!!!Then after 40 mins they called said sorry and offered £5 off which I found insulting tbh kept calm by this point it was nearly 10pm I said reduce by £10 I tried to be nice shouldn’t of ! and they refused the food got sent back to the place ! I know it’s been brought by new people as now I will NEVER return ! So I had to make somthing up late for my son !Sort it out guys !!!!!!!!!

It's ok Chinese food it's cheap

I was on holiday so I decided to get some Chinese, so naturally I looked online to see which ones were good. I saw the Superfry takeaway, and after looking at the reviews on tripadvisor I was nervous about it, but decided to go eat there anyway since I was here for a couple of weeks. The delivery was spectacularly fast even though it was a busy Saturday night! The service was very friendly and they catered to our every need (We were quite fussy customers).Plus The food was absolute perfection! It was second to none compared to the other restaurants I've tried. Absolutely brilliant! Everything about this place was perfect.

Since changing hands Superfry has really gone downhill. Cheap ingredients although increased prices. Every dish lacks flavour. Avoid.

Have been coming here for years it's changed hands in the last 12-18 months with the previous owner now no longer involved.last couple of times chips have been really burnt pancake rolls now are small and not very tasty all batter no filling chicken balls burnt and to be honest all the rest of our food was just "bland" sorry superfry won't be using again beccles has now lost what was it's best Chinese real shame :(

On 13th July had a takeaway delivered to a friends house in Bungay.Everything was overcooked and by and large not very nice.Previously the best takeaway in Beccles but this meal was so bad at in excess of sixty pounds we won;t be going here again

Rather surprised at how good this evening's meal was, given some of the recent reviews.Firstly, the delivery was prompt, the delivery driver polite, and the food was hot.The sweet 'n sour chicken balls were perfect, the prawn toast well cooked, the hot 'n sour soup was the best I've had in Beccles (I note this is a new addition to the menu), and my partner thoroughly enjoyed her satay. In general, the meal was of a very high standard for a takeaway-delivery.Prices appear to have risen slightly, but I would be happy to continue to use this establishment.Perhaps the nay-sayers were just unlucky?

We called the Superfry nearby 22:45 to place our usually order and the lady said they are closed. We checked on our take away menu but they should be open till 12 at fridays... It was just so disappointing. It was use to be far more better service as well.

This was our favourite Chinese for many years, but since the new owners took over they have replaced the ingredients on the dishes with cheaper versions, and are microwaving everything.And they are using so much more unrecylable plastic in the containers.Such a shame as it used to be 5 stars!(let's not mention the recent poor food hygiene score either )

Need to sort out delivery times - be honest with customers. We've had it happen twice now, once it took 2 hours to arrive and over an hour yesterday. No apology, nothing to try and resolve the situation. Such as shame as used to be our favourite Chinese and ordered regularly.

We ordered from superfry a few months back and despite chasing it up twice, it took 2 hours to arrive and had some wrong dishes, but we were so hungry we ate it. Seeing as it was a Thursday night and we had such a busy day we thought we'd give superfry the benefit of the doubt and try again, as everyone has 'off' days. Asked how long it would take and was told within the hour. Hour came and went, I called and cancelled, no apology and no explanation, just it has left the kitchen. The delivery driver did come to our door and was alot more sympathetic and understanding, but after the conversation with the staff on phone we said we wouldn't accept it. Superfry need to sort out delivery times, they are now charging more for the food and £2 for delivery and getting less of a service. An apology goes a long way, training on the phones would be beneficial.

We have just experienced the most deplorable service from my once favourite Chinese this evening! ☹️ We ordered from Superfry and aside from our order taking roughly an hour and a half to arrive (which is excusable being a Saturday night), when it finally did arrive it was completely wrong! Upon ringing to enquire as to the mistake and request the correct food to be delivered we were informed that the menu had changed earlier this week and that WE were in fact correct. We were not informed of this change when calling and I also call BS on it seeing as we had ordered two of something and one had arrived (if the menu numbers were wrong we wouldn’t have even received one). They agreed to send out food with two free portions of chips; fine, better than nothing...but when it arrived we were then charged a delivery fee again despite this being the fault of the restaurant for a) not informing customers of the menu change b) not inquiring as to why we are giving them menu numbers that NO LONGER EXIST and c) Lying about both of the above as to avoid having to refund customers for their mistake as an establishment. Do not order from here if you with to experience good customer service and fair treatment. They have ruined a Birthday meal and sadly lost themselves loyal customers in the process. I used to always drive to Beccles especially to have Superfry Chinese when I was home from London, so I find it particularly dissapointing.

Ordering by phone was easy and the food was delivered quickly and was hot and fresh. A little on the expensive side but it was good quality. The chicken chow mein was lovely. Would have given 5 stars if it had been slightly better value for money.

We have used this Chinese many time but this is the first time since it has changed hands & it will be the last. The food was so salty we couldn't eat it, no subtle taste at all. Also every dish has gone up in price by .50p, not much,but on a meal of 4 or 5 dishes is £2. or more.

Great flavour/quality Chinese take away food, giving much value for money. Delivered in good time and everything arrived hot. Superfry provided a very enjoyable meal (that isn't loaded with salt) 👌😊 This was our first order and is now our first choice for Chinese food.

Waited over 2 hours for our food to arrive and then when it did it was wrong. Phoned them up for the girl to be very unapologetic and no manager to speak to. no offer of refund when requested or a replacement and after ordering at half 6, at 9 o’clock we were having to put a frozen pizza on instead. Very disappointing and feel very ripped off

I have been going here for 20 years, best Chinese in the country imo. I suppose it always depends on the dishes you choose, but it was obvious something has changed. It was ok, but used to be brilliant. Very sad to have lost my chinese.

Revolting. Unpleasant staff and food portions were small and tasteless. Tried due to many recommendations but Pearl River was a much better option for the price you're paying they full the containers up it is enough for 3 people. Very disappointed.

It's not often I give take aways or food places only one star. But on this occasion I am having to....why???? Well here's why....I ordered a Singapore Style Noodles with vegetables. As normal with Chinese take aways they make it after order has been placed and I thought great. Paid £5.40 again didn't think too much on that. The young lady presented me with my order a rather smallish looking take away box in a plastic bag. Returning to my truck and have my meal as I hadn't eaten all day so was famished. Imagine my shock seeing the quantity of the food for the price paid. NOT VALUE FOR MONEY IN THE SLIGHTEST. Disappointed????? Yes I was and that is an under statement to say the least. I say this as I have had other Chinese take aways and the containers are double in size. Nor please with that but the food didn't smell Chinese. Burnt and charred . Certainly didn't taste normal. Suffice to say I won't return there again because of the cost the size the funky taste and the service which could have been much better.

So many people recommend this Chinese and I can see why. Not too sugary or salty like most, with beautiful crisp bean sprouts that had been cooked to perfection.

Walked in and waited around 10-15 minutes from ordering on a Wednesday around 7:30pm. Food was wonderful and didn't taste overdone in any form, with a nice crunch to bean sprouts and not heavily salted or sweetened. 9.5/10
