Disappointed with the reduced menu, but the breakfast was good. Excellent customer service. Staff were very attentive.

Popped here today for a breakfast. Had never been before and we were pleased to have found this hidden gem. The food was lovely and a good price. The staff were very polite and friendly, especially with my two young boys. It was very busy due to an event in the area, but service time was still brilliant. Would highly recommend. 😀

Stopped in for lunch on a day out exploring Beccles. We’re so glad we found this cafe - reasonable prices and a great menu. We had a hummus baguette sandwich and the jacket potato special, both about £9 and felt like good value. The service was friendly and food came quickly. The outdoor seating is lovely in the little alleyway. A great spot in Beccles and so pleased we came across it!

We popped in here just for a coffee late morning on Market Day in Beccles. As it was a sunny morning we chose to sit at one of the tables outside in the sunshine, although there are also tables and chairs inside the café. On perusing the menu we were tempted to try the sandwiches too, and ordered one portion of the chicken, lettuce and mayo, on brown bread. Our coffees arrived first, after only a few minutes, freshly made and nice and hot. Shortly after, the plate of sandwiches arrived, and as we had mentioned we were going to share them, they also provided an additional plate, which was very thoughtful. We were surprised that the plate contained not only the sandwiches, but also green salad leaves, onion slices and a small dish of crisps. After finishing we decided we were glad we had not ordered a plate of sandwiches each as we could not have eaten any more. While sitting at the table I noticed vacated tables were cleared away very swiftly and when going into the café to pay received a friendly greeting and very efficient service. We will be visiting again.

The nicest lunch we’ve had in absolutely ages, delicious fresh bread and really good quality ingredients with a friendly and warm welcome. What more could we ask for.

I popped in and asked if they could deliver a breakfast to me at my glamping pad. To my surprise they agreed and I immediately thought this is the cafe for me. I had the sausage and hashbrown breakfast bap with no delivery charge. Absolutely amazing. Because of this excellent service, I phoned and asked them if I could come in and pick up one of their afternoon teas. It was fantastic. Nice presentation, easy to carry back to the pod, and the food was well really really good. Not just sandwiches and a scone with cream and jam but two lovely cakes (seriously delicious) some mega cheese straws. I cannot fault the food or the service. Thank you

This is the best breakfast I have tasted in years. The sausages are divine and the black pudding cooked to perfection. The only negative, I am picking at straws, lack of room. There is seating outside but it was raining today. Free WiFi too yippeee

Really disappointed that finding a long blonde hair in a sandwich today didn’t seem to be considered much of an issue. To be told by the man who came out from the kitchen that we had to pay for the pot of tea ‘because we have to cover our costs’ was an insult. .

Not sure whether to give 2 or 3 stars. Popped in for a pot of tea and a scone. Tea very nice but the scone was definitely not fresh! Very dry and heavy, definitely over priced at £3 There's a lot of competition out there.

We went again to this delightful little cafe. The choice of food is fantastic. Today we went for the flan bacon leek and cheese, salad, and potato salad. Oh my goodness it was so lovely. The tables are cleaned as soon as anyone leaves. It is a delightful place to visit. The staff are friendly and helpful. Thankyou we eat out alot and I love cooking. Unfortunately your one of the nicest places shame overall places are letting standards down. Not as good as yours.

My partner and I went the other day. Had Roasted pepper and Chorizo soup with lovely fresh bread and butter. The most tastiest soup I've had for years. Lovely staff and definitely will going back. Fabulous value for money superb

Haven’t been here for some time. However popped into Relish recently. Food portions have gone down and prices up. The toast was served with just one very small packet of butter. Nowhere near enough to cover two pieces of toast. Have to think twice before returning here

Take out Saturday breakfast drinks are good price food was ok its just the roll seemed sweet not like a proper breakfast roll all in ok will pop by if passing service firm but ok

We had been meaning to visit for sometime but today’s visit exceeded expectations! Extremely friendly and professional staff and a very clean and spacious environment. I would certainly recommend the ploughman’s lunch which was delicious and so were the mochas - top notch! 🙌

We stopped here for lunch, there is a lot of choice on the menu, including lots that are gluten-free, and it is very tasty. There are tables inside and out. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

My husband and I had a great breakfast in Relish Cafe today. Nicely spaced tables, a great variety of food on the menu, and very reasonably priced too. We were served promptly by a pleasant member of staff, and our food arrived quickly. Our Big Breakfast and Smoked Salmon & Scrambled Eggs were well presented, hot, and tasted delicious. A lovely little cafe, we will definitely be back when we are next in Beccles, and would recommend a visit.

We stopped for lunch before heading home from a family holiday and we were really pleased we did. The service was excellent and the staff were happy to accommodate our very particular children. The food arrived quickly and was really tasty. We enjoyed sitting outside in a pretty alley.

I was just charged £3.00 for two small glasses of tap water. Outrageous ! The panini and service was not that great either. I won’t be going back

I ordered a hot turkey baguette but it was stone cold. Salad is nowhere near as good as other places, its just the same type of green leaves and it had an unpleasant dressing. The baguette was actually nice but it would have been so much better if it was warm like it was supposed to be. When I went to pay my bill, I stand up and go to the till and the waitresses walk straight past me and didn't even acknowledge that I was there. Waited for quite a while to pay the bill. I complained about the food being cold instead of hot and they basically said it was my fault for not telling them when I think they should serve it properly in the first place. I don't even think they apologised

Visited on the weekend, a busy Saturday. Service was great, faultless. Clean and clutter free in the cafe.We tried the salad bowls, well priced and so tasty, fresh ingredients.Coffee was good quality, we had a soya Latte and Americano. Definitely will return! 100% recommend

We had the most delicious spread at Relish yesterday, for a private afternoon tea party.Michelle was brilliant in making sure I was well catered for, as I have lactose intolerance. I felt very spoilt! Thank you very much to all. Can't wait to return. X

Cappucino coffee made with water ???? squirty cream topping with a few [ and I do mean a few chocolate sprinkles ) my wife's americano was a dark version of warm water ,even allowing for Covid restrictions I waited (3rd in the queue) for 10 minutes to enter the payment room and the a further 8 or 9 minutes for the coffee???? to be brought to the outside table, awful service, even more awful product, the bar is down an alley and the best place for it, out of sight out of mind..

The Covid situation has stopped our visits to the cafe, so we've become regular users of the takeaways.We've had the hog roast, cream teas, various platters, and numerous baguettes with various fillings.They've all been great.Not quite the same as a pre Covid cafe visit, but probably the next best thing.

Wow! What a great pick me up. loved everything in the box.i had salmon and cream cheese on granary for my sandwich choice.it complimented the well filled sausage roll and cheese straws.then a fruit scone with clotted cream and fresh strawberries and finally squares of a topped carrot cake and lemon drizzle.all very fresh and tasty. I was happily full but with tomatoes strawberries and blueberries felt quite healthy.

Went here for lunch with a friend today and the staff couldn't have been more helpful, checking with the kitchen and advising what was suitable for vegan diet and happy for us to mix & match from the menu. We ended up having a jacket potato but with the mixed bean and pepper stew for filling. It was absolutely delicious and I would definitely eat there again.

Met for breakfast here and couldn’t speak highly enough of this smallish cafe in the middle of Beccles. Immaculately clean, excellent coffee, quality food at a fair price served in a friendly environment. Couldn’t recommend the place highly enough.

I recently visited this restaurant with my wife and sister in law. It was afternoon, and we ordered three teas,( two of which we asked for black with no milk or sugar), and three toasted tea cakes. The tea cakes were rather on the small side and their consistency was a bit tough, but I did not complain, I just shrugged it off, and did not want to make an issue of it. When we had finished, I went to the counter to pay, and was presented with a bill of £17.00, (seventeen pounds). I queried this and was assured that that indeed was the correct amount. I paid the assistant the £17.00 and we left. I consider this utter robbery, it compares very badly with prices in both Norwich and Sheringham where we live. We will never again grace this establishment with our custom, and can only recommend it to those who wish to squander their money. Yours sincerely Ralph Hull.

Yet another superb pop-up evening at Relish last weekend! The theme of 'retro Christmas' was just right: prawn cocktail, vol-au-vents, cheesy balls, Babycham sorbet and sublime Black Forest Gateau! There was even a quiz to ponder over between courses. If you live in the Beccles area, keep an eye out for their next special evening on January 11th - a vegan menu this time.

Yet another great evening with all the friendly, helpful staff at Relish. One of the many monthly evening events we've attended over the years and it didn't disappoint. Great food served well. We enjoyed it and have already booked our next one.

First evening meal there although have had lots of wonderful Caesar salads from there. Great evening great food, lovely and cosy and the staff /team were great. Looking forward to the Mexican evening in November. If you are thinking of going be sure to go along and book your place as they will go quickly. Lunch time food is wonderful.. I go out of my way to get my Caesar salad and caramel frappe..yummmmy. Try it much better that a bog standard sandwich.

First time visiting Relish, must say what a friendly place, lovely welcome and the whole evening was brilliant. All 5 courses were lovely and the service was excellent. Can’t wait for the Mexican evening 😊

My husband and myself happened to walk down a side street and stumbled a cross the café Relish. I wish we had of kept walking.

Found while walking round antiques market, went to takeaway entrance, and was greeted by a very friendly lady, we ordered the smoothies, mine was a very healthy green smoothies which was delicious! And can highly reccomend the large sausage rolls.

We came here with our rather large family and a family friend, that is 9 in total. They served a lovely meal, very tasty! The berry smoothie was a real hit!

A really lovely small eatery with an exciting menu. Drinks and food are all served with style in a very clean situation.

This little sandwich bar morphs into a pop-up bistro every now and then, and last weekend they did a magnificent Caribbean themed night. As for the previous two pop-ups I've been to (Burns Night and Greek themed), it was simply amazing and ridiculously priced at just £25. There are very few tables so if you're interested you'd need to book and leave a deposit. Every course is individually prepared and absolutely delicious. I had the vegetarian main this time which followed a starter, shared platter and sorbet. You take your own wine/beer but they'll chill it for you. It's such a friendly, happy atmosphere. I only give 4 stars for service because the waitress dropped cutlery a couple of times, but hey, she was new and learning so I don't have a problem with that. I've been a waitress myself!

Just off the main market place, this little Cafe is a real find. We visited over the early May bank holiday, sitting outside as it was so busy. Yet despite the number of customers our lunch was soon delivered to our table by friendly young staff, who without prompting moved tables for us to create a bigger eating space.

I was so pleased to find a cafe with staff who cared about my food intolerances and made allowances for me. It is a great little cafe, tucked in a tiny quiet alleyway in the centre of the town. I would definitely return.

We experienced a FABULOUS meal , service and ambience last night when the team at Relish presented a “pop up” Greek 5 course meal. Every course was absolutely delicious and we were only sorry we were unable to clear our plates as the portions were, to say the least, more than ample.

A random, lucky find, late one lunch time. Very warm welcome, really good home made soup and the savoury scone was reported to be equally good. Cakes and pastries looked to be a similar standard and if we find ourselves back in Beccles we will happily call again

This lovely cafe is well worth a visit- lots of choice on the menu. Delicious home cooked food, that's tasty and plentiful (read recent review about small portions which is far from what I've experienced there). I'm a regular visitor at lunchtime and have been to a theme night too (which I'd also highly recommend). Always generous portions at a good price, and friendly staff too. Can't ask for more...

I visited today with family and as usual, the quality of the food was spot on but the portion sizes were ridiculously small! For the price of the special (£6.50) one expects more than a slither of quiche, 3 new potatoes and a leaf garnish. Such a shame as it really is a lovely place to go, however next time I think we shall stick to a cup of tea and a scone.

I popped in this morning for a coffee and a slice of toast as I had to take medication at a certain time. On the menu was advertised "Thickly Sliced Toast" with whatever butter or jam or whatever. My coffee arrived very quickly but I had to wait a while for the toast for some reason - my toaster is much, much quicker! When it turned up there were two slices of "Thin Cut White (plastic) Bread!!! It was cold, hard, tasteless but needs must as I needed to take my medication and get on. When I went up and paid I asked if they'd run out of Thickly Sliced Toast as all I got was thin cut bread and it was revolting. The woman looked at my table (for some reason) and said "oh, it should have been, I'll tell her". I Wont' be going back there.

We had breakfast here including the dog on our way to our boat trip on the broads from Beccles. The food was excellent and the customer service was excellent. I loved the décor and apparently they have rebranded- so I loved the red and grey touches everyone both inside and out. Importantly they made our dog feel welcome as they had a lovely dog water bowl filled up to the brim. Twyfords would not let us take our dog into their garden. Would go back again if I was ever in the area again.

Great breakfast with excellent ingredients. Sausages in particular are lovely. Cheerful, friendly service, good value for money, absolutely spotless (everywhere, toilets also). We'll definitely visit again during our next visit to Beccles.

While out on an all day cycle ride today we stopped at relish for lunch. Lovely sandwiches, cake and coffee. Friendly service. Out door seating with somewhere secure to tie up your bike. A perfect stop.

They have totally changed the menu, no where as easy or nice as it was before the change, I need to find a new place that does what they did. What a shame.

Sandwiches, baguettes made to order while you wait. All quality ingredients with pastry items made in house. Well worth a try.

A long list of fillings for baguettes, bread. Just pick which fillings you would like and they make it for you at a very reasonable price.

Why stop at a sandwich or baguette when you can add a drink and piece of luscious cake. Everything made while you wait.

Give them five minutes' notice, and they will rustle up a delicious gluten-free baguette. The crunchy tuna is my favourite. Lovely, welcoming staff.

The staff are really friendly and are happy to chat.I take my hat of to Betty she got my partner eating roast vegetable soup! He was not sure if it was what he wanted the decision was made when he was offered a taster before he ordered. He asked for bacon to be added this was no trouble for the girls. I must say it did look good home made thick and creamy. The sausage rolls are epic I have never seen them that big! My sandwich was freshly prepared they advertise generously filled sandwiches, baps and baguettes they were not kidding. They came nicely presented with a side salad and crisps.Its really lovely to go into a modern establishment yet have home and hand made food while you wait.I had ginger and apple tea that was very gentle and refreshing.On our way out we noticed a garden bench for customers to sit at that is a really lovely touch.A hidden gem that's a great find.
