The best restaurants serving Default food in Milton Southend-on-Sea East of England

Was here Saturday 5th October great food and staff the place is clean. And at a very good price I will be back .

Everything in life is relative and as MccyDs go, Southend isn't too bad. If go to YT and look at some of the nut jobs and army of security frequenting Brick Lane McDs, top of the high street Southend-on-Sea, is the Ritz. The food is OK. You know what you are getting. The prices aren't outrageous and it's OK for a pit stop. They do table service now, which is a big plus. During the day it's OK. Haven't been on a Friday or Saturday night and I doubt I will. Great for people watching if you are so inclined. Lots of Gammons and 'Patriots' swearing at their young children. Makes ya proud to be British...

It’s not a coincidence when all of our cookie doughs arrived practically undercooked. I’m scared for my life to get salmonella because even after asking for a reheat, I got a cookie coloured like sand. Normally it should be golden. Also the ice cream was like a waterfall on my plate. Should’ve just given me a milkshake at that point. The staff were nice tho xx.

The best I've had since coming back from Mexico! Amazing flavours and lovely staff, my boyfriend and I were big fans!

Placed a large £65+ food order via Just Eat. Order was delivered late. Everything was cold. Missing items. Called the place to inform of said missing items (multiple calls later I get through), employee is very rude and arrogant - literally arguing with me telling me no items are missing! Would not allow me to speak, to inform of said missing items etc - he ended up shouting down the phone at me! What was delivered was pretty disgusting, oily / greasy & NOT fit for human consumption. Not to mention the undercooked chicken and calamari. Overall disgusting service & disgusting food. Will never order from here again, an I recommend YOU don’t either.

Totally discussed with this place.. thought was coming to nice cafe to have lunch with my family.. we been waiting almost 25 minutes for our food. I asked several times why our food was taking so long????? The manager creepy kept looking behind freezer but didn't want to respond. Instead sends his girl staff to apologise for delay in food. But perfectly serving customers outside efficiently????

I came here on Monday for lunch with my daughter and her friend. The food was delicious very well presented very freshly cooked. We all had different dishes and we loved it so much. The lady who served us. She was so good so professional and she was working so hard as it was only her working as a waitress, but she was lovely. The chef would come out sometimes to bring the food out to the customers,,and he was so nice as well and he was making sure everyone was happy. Overall I would definitely recommend this place hundred percent, my favourite one to go from now on when I need to go for a lunch in town

Great Food Just one illegal thing to mention to the owner Item on menu and receipt Donuts £1.50 It's plural meaning two or more donuts you are purchasing. I asked the waitress how many donuts do you get and to my shock she said one. I said that's not right as it doesn't state one donut implying a customer is buying one. It says Donuts. Out of curiosity I thought maybe the menus wrong, I purchased item anyway and even on the receipt it says Donuts £1.50 even though you only get one donut. Please for the manager, under both Trading Standards and The Trades Description Act, the item in question must be listed correctly as: One Donut £1.50. Then you're all legal and not misleading customers. Other than that the staff were nice polite and surprisingly the Vegetarian Burger is the best vegetarian burger I've ever tasted so hats off to the chef 😀

Breakfast was cold (restaurant wasn't busy) poor quality food - scrambled eggs cooked in microwave so we’re stringy /presentation!!! and so overpriced! Overall a Sloppy approach

Management has her 3 children cleaning the shop during interviews and other members of the public clean the shop while children run around with brooms while she tells them off, can't enjoy coffee here won't be coming again

Bit stingy with the beans, but food is always good. Staff alwaus rushed off their feet, but service is always very good.

A second visit and again very happy. Yes it is traditional but what wrong with that. We don't all want expensive boutique alacarte eating. The steak and Guinness pie was amazing my wife gad grilled salmon and was very happy. We will go again.

The location is a reasonable walk from the pier and in an ideal location facing the beach. The restaurant is spotlessly clean and the staff most helpful , the weather was sunny and we sat outside enjoying the view - in fact we could not have wished to be any where else than sitting in the sunshine enjoying delicious fish n chips followed by traditional superb Rossi ice cream.
