The best restaurants serving Default food in St Neots Eaton Socon Huntingdonshire East of England

After spending a day sailing at Grafham Water, a mix of almost 25 adults and kids aged from 11 to 14 descended upon this unsuspecting pub with very little warning for food and an evening meal. As we rolled in we were instantly met with a warm and friendly welcome from the outset. No grumbles were had from the staff at our disorganised entrance. Great service, great food and spacious to accommodate even us! Thank you CookHouse&Pub, we will not hesitate to dissent on you again in the near future! Promise to give you more warning next time.

A very long wait for food...to the point some people came in after us and were served before us. Just seemed like we were a problem to the staff.

Spacious pub with a good pool table and two dart boards. Karaoke Friday nights, a great food van in the car park and lots of outdoor space and seating. Has a play area for the kids and shows sport all year round.

An amazing Premier Inn...couldn't fault it. Just don't have Room 136 alot of noise from the main road. Breakfast was one of the best lve ever had. Plenty to choose from.

This place is great, staff are super friendly and helpful, food is always good. Fish has no skin on it, which is excellent!

The Olde Sun is a great traditional village pub. The locals are very friendly and it shows all kinds of sports. It is also a good venue for pool and darts. It supports a local football team that often visits on a Sunday afternoon after playing. If you enjoy a pint of the black stuff it’s quality here.

Didn’t even get the right burgers

Nice looking pub with reasonable service. The food was good except for the salad. This left a lot to be desired. It was just prepackaged lettuce dropped in a bowl with no other salad stuff, just lettuce. The lettuce hadnt been washed and had gone off and slimy. Glad I spotted it before eating it as that could have made me rather ill! They didnt seem that bothered when shown the issue.

Husband and I went for Sunday carvery. We precooked a table but believe we were seated at just an open table as the one that should have been ours had not been cleaned after prior use. No worries, it was just a table. We had said never been there before and asked what we do. Server said I will get your drinks, took the order and left us. After 15 minutes waiting for a pot of tea and soft drink, and server going past our table several times, we decided to go up to carvery as that was only option available for food that day. Stood in line and when got to carvery area the carver stuck out his hand and looked at me. I asked what I was to give him and he waved me toward the server area where our server was standing. I went over, passing the bar where our tea and soda was sitting waiting to be delivered. Asked about the carvery and he said, oh you need a ticket. Turned to computer and said.. how many? Really???? Got two tickets , went back to the line and got our food. We both got beef which was quite dry and lukewarm, as were the rest of the items. However, the gravy was very good and very hot so it saved the meal. Shortly after sitting down again the server showed up with drinks and asked if we needed anything. That was the last we saw him until we went back to server station to track him down to pay. By the way, it was no surprise that the tea water was cold. Needless to say, we won’t go back. Shame because there were some things on menu thought would be good to try during week.

We booked a table for 8 people and all travelled for an hour or more to meet up. Food was delicious and everyone cleared their plates. Dessert was also amazing. Great staff and good service. Beautiful place on the river. Well worth a visit..

Waste of money, fried rice just boiled rice nothing fried tastes horrible website prices not the same as in store. I'll stick with my normal place. 2 years later and the food is still shit a special is just a egg fried rice dont waste your time or money here. Little Paxton cheese is much better

Fantastic Sunday lunch here for Mother's Day, food was great and service was quick.

The best KFC we have ever been to. Free parking, the toilets were clean and not smelly plus the food was lovely, hot and fresh !! Keep up the good work

Under new management since August and the young barman has put so much effort into enticing people to this lovely old Inn. Venue hire, pool tournaments, live music, poker nights and accommodation, it's a great place for a pint and to spend time with your mates!
