Simply Unbelievable, was hesitant at 1st upon arrival but will say one of the best kebabs we’ve ever had and then when you think that’s it ,Boom the homemade Baklava. So glad we came across this amazing restaurant. Can’t wait to come back
Elton John Tribute show in Monty's bar. What a fantastic night. Great show in a well appointed lounge bar, but best of all was the wonderful bar and table service from a cheerful and professional staff team. Well done.
If your passing or staying at the services at South Mimms don't bother eating there go to the Black Horse. People were friendly and staff very welcoming. Food was lovely and well worth the money. We will definitely be back.
This place is very nice. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food is excellent. The gentleman working there is very nice makes you feel at home . Definitely going back .
Had a bite to eat with some business associates and we were flabbergasted by the phenomenal service provided to is by the romanian boy working there called Alin
Writing a review having had a Google review disappear. Visited Sunday morning to find closed doors and staff inside ignoring those outside. I’m not sure in whose world this is normal. If there are staffing issues and unable to open it would be common courtesy to explain this to waiting customers and not to stand behind the counter ignoring them and wave your hand dismissively when they attempt to talk to you.
Another shop worker came along and banged on the door and someone from inside in complete silence opened the door and closed it again. No explanation, no discussion just a shake of the head and door closed. So I also banged on the door to draw her attention. Pumpernicks management have claimed that other customers were sympathetic. In fact two other customers who had been waiting outside told me that they would not be returning and would be going to Radlett for their bread in future. So will I.
We hired the smaller private room for a family tea to celebrate a special birthday. There were 15 of us, grandparents, parents and children. From the start of our relationship with Mabel's administrator, Martine, discussions flowed easily - price, one glutenfree guest, one vegetarian, lots of details - nothing was too much trouble. On the day there was plenty to eat - sandwiches, scones, cakes and a drinks bar with prosecco. Sara, our waitress, was a star, making sure everyone had everything we wanted including extra cups of tea or coffee. Everyone enjoyed the relaxing informal event. The room was full of Victoriana and the children loved the experience and also the opportunity to explore the garden (with adult supervision).
Our family tea at Mabel's was everything we wanted for our special day. Huge thanks to Martine and Sara for all their beautiful hospitality and care.
We have always had a wonderful time at Tamarind. Went on Saturday night for a joint birthday celebration. The staff are always so welcoming and friendly, never rushing us. The food is always beautiful and the atmosphere is always fun.
I had a lovely sandwich made a young lady. She had an Eastern European accent but I unfortunately didn't catch her name.
She check if I had any allergies and was very careful to make sure I was going to be okay and understood my choice and explained the ingredients to me.
I found this so helpful and was genuinely impressed by her level of concern
