Went to Monty’s today, took our mum for a birthday afternoon tea. Service was lovely, with a smile. Food was delicious! Prior dietary requests had been adhered to (eg all brown bread and with no butter, plus no fishy sandwiches). The scones were sensational and we were so cuffed with the amount of cream allocated per person, as so many other places never give you enough. Great selection of cakes. Great value for money and would definitely recommend

Came here because our son was playing football and decided we needed to warm up indoors. It was cozy in the bar, service was good and the staff were very friendly.

Three is us for an early Sunday lunch, the service as always was faultless, friendly and efficient, thank you. Between us we enjoyed the beef, gammon and the salmon.

We had roast beef Sunday lunch with pudding and cocktails, all first class food and service faultless experience will be back.

Friendly helpful staff. The chunky chips were amazing. Maybe a small burger could be added to the kids menu as the normal one, with the chips was too big for my step son to finish.

Very nice, clean and good service. I’m not sure if the chef has changed but the beef was ok but not as good as it was last month? Good value though

Really good roast beef lunch, good service, nice surroundings. No whistles and bells but definitely no complaints. Sticky toffee pudding was homemade 10/10 for that. Will definitely return.

Had a lovely Sunday lunch, food was very tasty with generous portions and great value for money. I Would definitely recommend a visit as the refurbishment has breathed new life into the settings. The staff are very friendly, polite and attentive. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will definitely visit again.

We had a lovely afternoon at Montys kitchen. Food was great. The staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for making it a lovely afternoon for us and our mum. Scones were warm, tea was plentiful and the sandwiches were a perfect selection

Came here for Sunday lunch with some friends last Sunday and everything was amazing from the food to the staff. I had the gammon roast that was cooked to perfection (you can tell everything is freshly cooked) The staff were all so welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. The drinks selection is great too, I was recommended to try the banana dead man’s finger rum and all I can say is I now have a new favourite drink. Will definitely be booking to take my mum for lunch on Mother’s Day. Keep doing what you’re doing metropolitan team.

This large spacious bar is nestled into the large Metropolitan Club, the bar has just been renovated along with most of the club from the look of it! This large bar overlooks the clubs fantastic sports grounds, with glass sliding doors making access to the substantial terrace effortlessly simple. We have eaten here many times before and always find the staff to be friendly and approachable, with a new menu recently launched. We tried loads of the different fresh meals including, Burgers, Lasagna, Chicken Wings, Jacket potatoes (all great for this winter weather!) There was a large selection of drinks available at the bar, including real ale and a decent gin selection. So great for evening drinks also! It's always nice that we can also take our furry four legged friends with us too as it's also dog friendly!! Toilets were clean and tidy and easy to access. Huge car park.

We had a lovely time here for my partners surprise birthday lunch. The team were brilliant and very accommodating, even though our plans earlier in the day meant our large party (19) wouldn't arrive until close to 'last orders for food', we pre ordered as much as we could and gave the remaining few orders once we arrived. All the food arrived at the same time, and was perfect. I had the roast beef which was delicious and cooked to perfection! The new bar is beautiful and casual, the kids were able to play and weren't in the way, and the fact we could have dogs with us too was an added bonus.

I had a lovely afternoon at my recent visit to the Met club. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the bar had been newly refurbed. A great new menu offering various deals throughout the week. I had the gammon egg and chips and it was delicious! The staff were very attentive, making sure that we were kept topped up. Must try out the Sunday roast sometime soon!
