Really good family run local Italian. Large menu for a small restaurant. Nice atmosphere, genuine welcoming staff, the excellent food is well presented and cooked to order so is always piping hot. Well worth a visit. Highly recommended. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Italian food is my favourite type of food and I’ve eaten it in over 30 countries. This place genuinely is one of my top 3 restaurants worldwide and makes STELLAR. meals. My family and I come here every time we are in England (we’re Canadian) and the food is 10/10 every single time without fail. The service is also excellent and Carla is a wonderful person and server :)

Very poor breakfast. Shakshuka tasteless, sent one breakfast back french toast, as it was awful. Tomatoes not grilled properly. Completely empty at 11 on a Sat morning , should have given us the clue.

Ordered a delivery for a work lunch. The pizze were delicious, with a nice thin base and generous topping. I didn't have any, but my colleagues said the chips were really nice. The fried zucchini were too soggy for me. Except that, good service :)

I have been eating here for about 6 years and it is my favourite restaurant. I always rate my meal 10 out of 10 for taste, freshness, quality, service and the friendly owner and staff. I particularly enjoy the minestrone soup, delicious pasta with aubergine/tomato sauce and the best tiramisu anywhere. If it was nearer to me, I would eat here more often. I cannot fault this lovely little restaurant and if I had to request a 'last meal', it would be from here!

Was made to feel very unwelcome from the moment I walked in. I also overheard a member of staff making hateful comments. Everyone deserves to be treated equally, even those you view as beneath you.

This little place has eluded us for a while, but being a short walk from home, we gave it a go today. Wonderful pizza, cosy atmosphere, and attentive waitresses. Will certainly be returning soon. Highly recommended ❤️

Nice little busy restaurant, good food, good service, small, simple decor, casual dining. Found & booked last minute on eve. Only few tables, last to leave, but never asked us to go, patiently waited for us to ask for the bill. Nice find.

Great small place. Yummy Italian food - I had a beef lasagna to die for with a mix salad. Simply delicious. The service was quick and attentive. I will certainly be back.

Fantastic food. Service was a little hit n miss. Forgot we asked for bread at the start, didn't understand one of our requests for drink and forgot a drink we ordered during meal, but polite always. It has more of a cafe feel than restaurant although the food is restaurant quality. Pricey and some dishes you have to purchase the veg etc separately.

Terrible pastas, way overly salted and threw them out, won’t be ordering from there again, terrible food

I love this place and visit once a month or more with my other half or friends! The food is absolutely delicious, super fresh and all cooked from scratch inc sauces. I always have a pasta dish because it's so authentic and tastes above and beyond what you would get in the likes of Zaza or Ask down the other end of Bushey. My other half loves the Pizzas here. My friend had the Carbonara last night and loved it. Just a shame I never have room left for pudding but another diner said the homemade Tiramisu is fantastic. Great to have this little gem of a restaurant nearby and will always support local businesses over franchises. See you again soon 😊

I ordered from this place a pizza with pasta Carbonarra...both dishes been very tasty,pizza dove been fantastic thin and crunchy. Pasta was tasted amazing,lovely crispy bacon,pasta done al dente like I love it. Food defo worth money,proper fresh ingredients plus proper delivery when food arrived hot,not messed. I can just highly recomennd that place.

Such a lovely little restaurant with fresh and authentic italian food! Great menu choice whether you want pizza, pasta or meat/fish. We’ve eaten here several times now and it’s great! Friendly staff, food is freshly made and delicious. I usually go for homemade fresh pasta which is amazing and my partner loves the pizzas here! Super quality food and not overpriced unlike some places in the area. We’ll definitely be back again soon!

Wanted to try it for years. Delightful and delicious. Cheesy garlic bread that is really pizza bianca with fresh garlic oil. Beautifully cooked pasta with fresh, fresh sauce. And really proper tiramisu ... best I've had in a very long time. And beautifully served as well. Definitely worth the slightly higher prices than other locals.

Very small restaurant so you must book - wonderful home cooked Italian food - great husband and wife team - love it & had excellent take away too!

We had been warned how small the restaurant so was prepared! Lots of couriers and people coming and going for takeaways. Extensive menu. Wine selection not great. Food was very good and we all enjoyed our food. Definitely will return as there was so many dishes I wanted to try!

I had a Bolognese pasta and it is sustainably enjoyable. If you fancy a normal Italian plate, then you can go there. What I would change about my plate is the salt on the ragú (it was too little)

Unfortunately since Covid we have just had takeaway. Still my favorite. A real taste of Italy with a very wide menu. (Where else can you get a Canoli?). When we could eat in the atmosphere in this small intimate restaurant is lovely, the service good & friendly and the food wonderful.

The carbonara was a he worst I have ever had if the chef is a Italy he should be a shamed his wife was lovely the garlic bread was good

Enjoyed several wonderful lunches at this High Street Italian bistro! We were visiting from Israel, and this was a very convenient location in Bushey. Great food, warm/friendly service, reasonable prices! Highly recommend, and look forward to dining here again!

I ordered a vegetarian pizza for takeaway which the website says has tomato sauce, mozzarella, basil, aubergine, mushrooms, courgettes and red onions. What I received was a pizza with red onions, mushrooms, aubergines, red peppers, green peppers. I am unable to eat peppers as they don't agree with me and I suffer for the day after. It took ages to get through on the phone as it was engaged for a long time. They finally answered and went in to a long speech about intolerances and credit notes, blah blah and we couldn't get a word in. The phone call took 10 minutes because they kept interrupting us and it really is a very simple matter and could have been dealt with within two minutes. They basically blamed ME for ordering a pizza which didn't include the item to which I'm intolerant but which is how they make it! They said they would refund us - we'll see if we get the refund and how long it takes.

Excellent punctual Uber Eats delivery of an Arrabiata Linguine Gamberi. Freshly cooked, piping hot and very good portion. Great value with a coupon we’d received too!

All good things come in small packages. This rule applies 100% to this restaurant. The food is authentic Italian. Neapolitan style Pizza, Fungi Risotto 😘, Penne Pesto, Garlic bread & Parmigiana Riggatoni - all taste like the food you’d get in Italy. Definitely a repeat customer. Well done Chef 🏆

Take away only at the moment. Collect at a specific time. Had to wait a few minutes, so food was freshly prepared and piping hot when I got home Delicious 😋.

The hundreds of regular patrons of this uniquely fabulous family run restaurant, serving what can only be described as first class Italian dishes prepared and cooked with added LOVE know that the previous review is utter rubbish and was written by a nasty jealous competitor/ saboteur. Best Frito misto I have ever had - anywhere!

So it’s lockdown and we have tried this place for takeaway’s now 4 odd times. I keep making excuses for their crap cold food - saying maybe their busy and it’s lock down etc and keep giving them another chance. Today me and my partner ordered again and they had no mains available to order so we tried again getting small side dishes thinking that’s what they got left let’s try lots of small dishes. All of it was cold and tasteless. The starter garlic bread with tomato - cold and awfulThe penne Napoli tasted like they used Heinz cream of tomato soup for the sauce.The same for the spaghetti sorrentina and the aubergine dish. Our mushroom risotto was tasteless also. Literally awful every time we have tried.Don’t waster your money. We haven’t eaten tonight as we threw it all in the bin. Not homemade dishes. If you can’t manage your kitchen don’t bloody take peoples money. Stop serving crap food. You are conning people!!!!Also want to add that we tried so many times to call them before ordering just incase they can’t manage and we can go elsewhere but guess it’s as if they take their phone off the hook so you can’t get through

This is by far the best restaurant around. The staff are delightful and rightly enthusiastic about their menu and the food is simply delicious. Truly authentic Italian food lovingly prepared by the chef and owner who during Covid lockdown turned the business around and supplied us grateful locals with the option of takeaway. Even delivering the meals in recyclable packaging. Ten out of ten to the Buono team! Thank you!

Second time visiting here and a great family run business, had the zucchini fries to start and then a mushroom risotto which was lovely and big portions!

What an amazing surprise it was to come across this tiny shoe box of a restaurant that defines high quality food and service. I had the Lobster bisque followed by the most tender grilled veal cutlette that I have ever tasted. My wife had a Beetroot & Mozzarella salad to start with which she said was very good, describing. the mozzarella as unusually fresh & gooey. She was equally enthusiastic about her liver Fugato. Our friends had the grilled halibut which he said was excellent and she really enjoyed her Veal Picatta. Between us we had a selection of vegetables which were all very good, in particular the cream spinach and fried zucchini. Including wine and service – reckon on about £40 per head which for the exceptional quality of the food and the attentive service was very reasonable.Just one caveat. This is not a place for a long drawn out Saturday evening in sumptuous surroundings. It is however the perfect place to enjoy very good food.As you will appreciate, booking is essential – I am certain that you will not be disappointed.As well as having a very extensive dinner menu there are also Breakfast and Lunch menus. You just know the team behind this restaurant will achieve fame and fortune and it will be well deserved.

Never had a bad experience at Buono and eaten there around 20 times. The food is always fresh, flavourful and delicious. The portions are a great size. The restaurant itself is very small so booking is a must. The staff, including owners Carla and Claudio, are lovely! Best Italian around, by far!

As a small run Italian restaurant, did expect the food to be better for the prices they charge - maybe we chose badly My husband had soup which he said tasted like tinned soup. We both had pasta dishes as a main which were nothing exceptional just very average. At no time did the waitress ask us if we were enjoying our food, which we do expect in a restaurant. The ice cream desert was not great and to be honest, in an Italian eatery I do expect great ice cream. For the quality of food alone, we will not return.

Buono , as usual, was absolutely superb and nothing was too much trouble for the very dedicated and professional team lead by Claudio in the kitchen along with Kamilla and Sonie.We had a superb Sunday lunch for 11 people ( 8 adults and 3 children ) and the children really enjoyed the excellent hand crafted pizzas as they finished them off. What was particularly delightful that they were not the factory produced typical pizza and so much better and tastier than the "pizza chains "versions. The kids were able to personalise the additional toppings.4 of the adults had the special fish of the day - halibut in a very light butter sauce served on spinach and it was absolutely delicious.The mushroom risotto was very well received as were the 3 different pastas.Everything was freshly made and served to order with the minimum of fuss.A special recommendation you must have the fried zucchini as a starter - piping hot and both crunchy and delicate.Great Italian olives and the tiramisu was especially liked.a small sensibly priced wine list either by bottle or glass and really great to know you have had excellent home made genuine Italian food. We will certainly be returning .

Having lived in Bushey for 20+years we rarely use local restaurants, it's that going out for an evening scenario we feel we need to actually go somewhere! Tonight was unplanned and by chance whilst watching Spurs get back to their winning ways a lady said how wonderful the food was.There was no room inside but they have 3/4 tables outside under cover and with heat lamps, we thought this may add a 'holiday' feel and it was absolutely fine even in the rain!We had a brushetta to start with some olives that was all very nice, followed by a pasta with veg and one hot arabiatta. The Tiramisu was amazing, service friendly and cost £52 for 2 which was acceptable. Would definitely go back but obviously ensure we booked.

I have to say so many people have recommended this restaurant to us we thought we would visit. Firstly the place is tiny, cramped and very noisy which for us did not make for a pleasant evening. Yes the food is very nice but their pricing policy is really childish and would put us off returning.

Buono Restaurant in Bushey is a big fat ❌⛔️. Not only did they charge my friend 35p for hot water because “ it was served to her “ even though she’d already paid for her mint tea and had to get up and go to the bar to ask for some more hot water and carried it back, so basically served herself but the owner tried to justify it ! She said it was a nominal fee as it was served but as we explained we were paying for our meal and we would leave service anyway. But according to her she doesn’t charge service ( but apparently she charges service for hot water ) and I said but who goes to a restaurant and doesnt pay service and the bill says service not included Tips cannot be paid by card , which infers they take Tips. AND ! It’s so expensive the starters are the same price as the mains practically, a main course like chicken comes with nothing and every side I’d £4.50/ £5 so another £10 for 2 sides. Makes it all very expensive. The restaurant is so small that the noise level is beyond. A couple of people had put tissues in their ears as it was so noisy. The owner said her restaurant is like no other as everything is made to order. I corrected her on that one and said I go to plenty of restaurants that make fresh made to order food. Basically the owner charges through the nose to earn the money she would earn having a bigger restaurant. She turns the tables around in an hour and a half because the restaurant is small. It’s all about making money not the customer and the owner is rude and patronising.she told us the 35p fee was not up for discussion! Eventually we told the owner that as she charges 35p for serving hot water she didn’t serve then she could take that as her tip ! We did not leave service she clearly can’t see the bigger picture. By the way it’s not the spending of 35p it’s the principle of paying for tap water.

It is almost a year since I visited this restaurant and, I have to say the standard has not dropped. Service is excellent and food is beautifully cooked and presented. I had the halibut, which had a crust of shredded potato, which was lovely and crispy, and was surrounded by a mushroom sauce. I finished with 3 scoops of ice cream which was delicious.

Easy to miss in an inconspicuous part of Bushey Heath, Buono was nevertheless a great find. This tiny restaurant with a family feel produces delicious Italian food with a warm welcoming service.

Had a great evening here last night & had some of the best pasta I have ever had. The Linguini Lobster was exceptional, big chunks of lobster, linguini that almost melted in my mouth it was so lovely & soft finished off by an exquisite sauce & plenty of it. Filleted Sea Bass for wife was really yummy with her favourite chunky chips & salad. We left absolutely nothing! Service was super by the family ladies, very attentive & nothing was too much trouble. Always book as there only 6 tables but they do takeaway.

Went for Sunday lunch after being recommended to come here by friends and the 4 of us (husband and kids) absolutely loved it! The lobster linguine which was one of the specials was divine, no different to Scalini’s. The crab spaghetti, veal Milanese to the home made apple strudel was delicious! We left just empty plates and can’t wait to go back!

The food here is first great. Although a tiny restaurant we have never had a bad meal. The Osso Buco tastes exactly like my mother used to make. 100% authentic top quality Italian food. If you are a foodie it's a must and won't hurt the wallet either!

This really is an exceptionally good, little, local restaurant with completely charming, efficient staff. I’ve visited Bueno several times and it’s always extremely good. Tonight we had a family dinner and we all had such a brilliant evening in this lovely little place. The food is really outstanding - proper traditional Italian cooking. We think the allocated time slots are more than generous and fair, in such a small family business and we’ve always feel comfortable and very, very satisfied after a meal at Bueno. Marvellous!

We needed to dine early as we had cinema tickets, so the 18.30 slot suited us well and by 20.00 we had finished and paid. Lovely service, friendly, efficient. Very good food. If I had to find any fault it would be that that tipping situation was not explained well enough for us to understand. Nevertheless it did not detract anything from our experience and we will return.

If you want sublime pasta , this is the place to come to ! Has a bolognese to die for . I am a definite regular !! Must book as only a few tables , but just what I like !!

Buono means good in Italian so they told me in the restaurant And yes it’s good in fact the food is fantastic. It’s a small family restaurant and you need to book. Book and go you won’t be disappointed

I just wish there was more room to enjoy the food. All a bit tight for room but good Italian reasonably cheap food. OK not special. You get what you pay for.

A fantastic meal is always to be had at Buono. The menu is not extensive, which is a good thing. What they do, they do very well. The owners and staff are incredibly friendly and attentive.

Came here on a Saturday night with my father early for some diner. Booked it few days in advance as it’s small & popular.

We visited Buono a year ago on the suggestion of friends and were not particularly impressed, for reasons we don’t need to go into now. Last night, on the urging of the same friends, we made a second visit and it was excellent. We’ll chalk up the other one to a bad night, which anyone can have.

Perfect for a midweek meal if you can get a table.

As walk-ins it was a 'Dear John' as they were booked solid, oh well, what to do? wait for the next occasion and book. Our anniversary was looming and not taking my own advice, I called late for the same evening at 17:30 and made my case for a table for our anniversary meal - or in other words - Pleeeeeease?.

We dined on Saturday evening celebrating my nephews engagement taking over this delightful family restaurant, made very welcome by the lovely staff, with the perfect ambience for our celebration.

Heard lots of positive reviews about this restaurant.My findings maybe a little different, pleasant welcome but was told must be finished by 7.45 allowing me only just over an hour to eat,that was OK as I explained if food served promptly which it was.Felt claustrophobic as a a small place I would hate fear the "din" (noise)if busy

This is not the fist time we have been to this restaurant. We have been several times but not for a few months.

We had been recommended to this little Italian restaurant and when I say tiny I mean tiny. The welcome was lovely and 6 of us had a really nice evening. The food was hot and fresh and the staff delightful. I would be happy to go again.

I absolutely love the food and people at "Buono Italian". I am not sure how,but they make every meal taste amazing. My favourite ones are Radicchio salad, Calves Liver, Sorentina and Arrabiata. It's always good to be back there :)

This is my local Italian, we eat there at least once a month and I have never had a bad meal there. Its like eating home cooked food and I have never had a bad meal there. The place is small and intimate and the owners and staff couldn't be friendlier. I have probably eaten everything on the menu and it was all delicious.
