The best restaurants serving Chinese food in England

Took 2 hours to arrive, and every time we called they said it was on the way. Food was cold. Ruined my birthday

The Chicken Chow Mein noodles were sticky as though they had been in a fridge, there weren't enough bean sprouts and the chicken was barely visible, small splinters of dark meat. We asked for a meat spring roll but got a vegetarian one. They only take cash too which is inconvenient and a bit suspicious. Won't be going back.

Went here for a takeaway whilst on holiday locally, and had various items for the family, all of which were really good can't fault it at all

Having used Hoi Shan quite a few times we put an order in tonight at 5pm - were told delivery up to 45 minutes- no problem with that - got to about ten past six so rang to check & was told on the way. Food finally arrived & was basically almost cold - had obviously been prepared then left standing for some time. Tried to reheat where we could but basically ended up very poor. Sorry but I don't think we'll bother next time!😔

Llevo años viniendo aquí. Probé muchos otros a lo largo de los años Siempre vuelve aquí. Para mí la comida es siempre sabrosa caliente y fresca. El tiempo extraño ha sido un 7 / 10, pero sobre todo siempre es un 10 / 10 para mí. No has experimentado lo negativo que algunas personas tienen. Muy contento sin duda volveré y es una comida china que siempre he recomendado Como todo se trata de gusto personal

The food is lovely and very good and friendly service

Reasonably priced local chinese. They've changed the chicken balls recently and made them a lot smaller and also the chips are soggy which is a shame. Apart from that it always tastes great and the portion sizes are fine!

I had dissapointing satay "chicken" on skewers. I've never in my life eaten chicken that's stringy to the point of elasticity. I genuinely wonder what the hell the meat was. It had a weird smell and tasted of weird fake chicken ,texture like eating elastic bands bunched together. Never eating "food" from there again.

The restaurant service was chaotic, and the food was undercooked. The staff lacked basic service awareness, failing to provide essentials like spoons without being asked. Overall, a disappointing experience.

Outstanding service and food. Really tasty starters: spicy prawns & satay chicken with spicy peanut sauce. Peking duck was perfect, huge portions. Mains on set menu B were beef with bamboo shoots & mixed veg, chicken in black bean sauce (spicy), noddles with beansprouts and prawn with cashew and bamboo shoots. Enormous portions plus crust spicy green beans. Took home the remainder- enough for 3-4 people. They even brought out their own special tea. A great evening .(10/10 food )

Good take away, pork with spring onion and ginger is divine.
