Love this place and I'm here as often as I can (and can get a table). It's cash only with just amazing food. I had the bandung and some nasi goreng but can report that past visits have been just as delightful with different dishes. Writing this makes me think that I might just go for lunch today!

Staff are lovely & gave great recommendations. The dishes we got were incredible. We got the Dezhou chicken and beef brisket Chongqing noodles (this one was amazing). 100% recommend

Al azar decidimos probar este restaurante ya que queríamos probar un lugar diferente en Chinatown. ¡Qué feliz lo hicimos! El servicio fue excelente, muy acogedor y servicial. Fuimos por los platos de sopa de fideos, ambos platos que pedimos eran muy sabrosos y las raciones eran muy generosas. Se nota que la comida se cocina con cuidado y utiliza ingredientes auténticos. También adaptan las especias de cada plato a su preferencia, lo cual fue un buen toque. Buena selección de bebidas también! ¡Sin duda volveremos!

We always eat at Kopitiam whenever we visit Birmingham. They serve authentic Malaysian food. The food is delicious and its portion is generous. Our favourites are char kway teow, curry mee, hor fun in creamy egg, and rojak. As a special treat we had ice kacang before but this is no longer in their main menu. So, you will be lucky if they serve it on the day you visit them. The restaurant usually takes cash only. But you may be able to transfer them if you don't carry cash.

Vahbiz was a fantastic waiter. Lovely food, fast and attentive service. Recommend if celebrating any occasion. The sharing platters were amazing.

Revisited for a weekday dinner treat. Loved it. Great food and flavour, friendly people and hearty dishes. Happy belly. *** First time visiting and the food was great. Authentic taste of Hong Kong (as authentic as you can get all things considering). For those unaccustomed to the cha chan teng food culture, this is a place to experience it without having to fly to the other side of the world. Friendly service and cosy place to eat. 10/10 would come back again.

Absolutely love Hot Pot! We usually travel to Birmingham for halal hot pot. It's the first time we stumbled across Happy Lamb. It's such a great idea where it's a buffet style. You pay 1 set price per adult & 1 set price per child and everything is included except drinks. You have a small fried section including noodles & rice and then all the hot pot selection. You can also order as much beef, lamb & venison rolls. There are a few dessert options including cakes, fruit & soft serve ice cream. My daughter got a stuffed lamb at the beginning which was cute. We would definitely recommend coming here. It is great value.
